Well Bill when your government and media continuously bombard the population with fear for political gain and profit people tend to just tune it out. Also like WaltC said, it's fiction, plenty of actual real things to worry about.

... and really cutter? With out a doubt Bill was one sleazy mofo when he was building Microsoft... but these days he's spent billions and billions of his own cash helping the little people, in fact that's pretty much ALL he does now.

As one of 88 people that now own over half the world's total wealth he and his cronies can do more, a lot more. So yeah, really. If I had my way they wouldn't even have a choice. No one should own that much. No one.

Your statistic is incorrect. They doesn't own half the world's total wealth, they own the same total wealth as half the world.

In other words, 80 people hold as much wealth as 3.6 billion people. But that isn't half the world's total wealth.

I guess that makes it all good then. Rolleyes

Not following you here. "No innocents, only the weak" is because he's a psychopath, and the rest I'm not sure who BN is or what you mean.

/edit: Blue's News? Going to disagree with it then, if that's what you meant.

Sounds like what a Vulcan would say. (Fantasy)

Blues News - Oh come on we knock the intelligence of fellow humans here all the time, ourselves and everyone else.

You are going off the deep end a little bit. What the hell are you on about? So your opinion of pretty much everyone on Blue's is that we are all sociopaths? Nice.

Because Elon Musk is on the case, Bill!

Oh, he actually says that himself. I did like this part, though:

First the machines will do a lot of jobs for us and not be super intelligent. That should be positive if we manage it well. A few decades after that though, the intelligence is strong enough to be a concern. I agree with Elon Musk and some others on this and don't understand why some people are not concerned.

Well, because I'm more concerned with making sure I have enough money to pay all my bills and keep food on my table. And whether the place I work for is going to survive the current oil prices.

The idea whether AI is going to kill me three decades from now is not really high on my list of immediate things to worry about. I guess when you're a billionaire that is the only left to freak out about.

QFT. Although Im not worried. So what if machines eventually supersede us? We would have made them, and that would just be evolution at work. There is a great Sci-Fi series Im currently reading that deals with the subject of machine intelligence. Gregory Benford's Galactic Center saga, it's damn good. Hard Sci-Fi in the best tradition of Clark, some of the best stuff I've read yet.

Heh, now we're talking though. It's one thing to give access to a friendly government of lackeys that always serves corporate interests regardless of election results. Its quite another when its a government that can't be pushed around at a whim.

I am in the same camp Eraser. I usually hate RPGs which wont let me develop my own character. But the third Witcher simply looks too good to pass up, even if in my mind it will probably be more of an open world action adventure, instead of a proper cRPG. Still we were talking about 'why sex matters' and in the case of an adult game with a strong and well developed protagonist, as well as an ambiguous and slightly off-kilter world where nothing is as it seems there is no reason why it shouldnt.

"Diablo Fans does note that this has not been stated on the game's North American forums, saying the CMs there tend to have better access to the game's developers"

/facepalm

Ok, the email has been around for how long now. 25 years or so? Regardless of the topic at hand (PvP) this speaks volumes to me about the BS that Blizzard gets away with. What is paradoxical is that the more successful the developers get, the less professional they seem.

This is the one area I disagree with CDProject Red about...the reality is that anyone sufficiently determined will at some point in his life have all the sex he wants--that's actually a regular part of life for most adults. But in fantasy games what won't happen in real life is monster slaying, living in fantasy realms, and the rest of it. That's the appeal. Yeah, sex is indeed natural--in adult life. Inside fantasy entertainment though it often comes off as designed specifically to titillate pubescent teens...;)

The books written about Geralt are all adult themed, they are layered and smart 'despite' being fantasy. Not everything is as it appears to be could easily be said to be the main theme of the stories and games. This is not a CDProject decision, to insert gratituous sex scenes where they have no business being. Geralt's interaction with the fairer sex is a big part of Geralt's story, this is not R.A. Salvatore we are talking about here, but please dont let artistic vision and plot devices dissaude you from your prudish views.

Sorry but thats bullshit. When I get a new card I can judge very quickly whether it is worth even experimenting with. When I was less experienced, I would try the card for a few matches but if it turned out to be shit I would remove it from my deck and not think about it again, except as potential dust.

You are right about one thing though, its how the game was designed to work. You put shit cards in the game, to make the good cards look great and the average cards look good. Its lazy game design 101.

It's ok for a card game to have cards that aren't played at the top level. Those cards are for the noobs who don't have all the cards yet or like to play creative decks and builds.

Am I speaking swahili here? There are cards that literaly NO ONE PLAYS. Most of them are Rare and Epic, and more than a few are Legendary cards. How are those for people who are beginners or like to play 'creative' decks and builds, when they aren't played, at all!?? Ever. Cards that could be good with some buffs but are left on the sidelines because they are simply shit. Please explain to me how that is good for a card game again??

It's like you're a junk collector who is allowed to freely collect random junk and sell that junk to other junk collectors at the "Steam Market". The owner of the junk pile takes 10% of those sales though he doesn't charge you for the junk itself... But if you wanted to you could pay for specific junk. Some specific junk is created in the junk pile owner's "Steam Workshop" and a small percentage of that junk gets picked by the junk pile owner to litter his junk pile. The creators of this junk get 25% of the specific sales of the junk they created in the junk pile owner's workshop.

Hey, what about Nathan Fillion for Indy? He's early forties, just the right age.

I think a bit too goofy, still.

Yet I'd be more excited for him than the others mentioned, even though I probably like Chris Pratt more (so far) and definitely think Bradley Cooper is the most talented actor of the bunch, far and away.

I'd prefer Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake, even though he's now about 10 years too old. Nathan Drake was basically Nathan Fillion as Indiana Jones - similar character, similar actions, just goofier. Man, I miss those games.

The only thing I'd have against Bradley are his stunning good looks. He's just too handsome, IMO. Tom Hardy's got the rugged looks we'd expect Indy to have. Here's a pic of him in a fedora, even.

like i said, nobody's going to match ol' harry. we can all think of someone who comes close, but nobody gets it right. i think one underappreciated aspect of ford was his voice. none of these dudes match the command or presence of his baritone, either as indy or solo.

Tom Hardy is way too chunky. It's why I cant imagine him is Mad Max either. Chris Pratt is too, neither of them look like the professor type. I think Beamer is right, Bradley Cooper would be the best fit out of the lot, he has the right look and the right kind of madness in the eyes. But still. Fuck the Jones reboot.

I keep trying to figure out why there are three other guys in my single player game.

Yeah, right? I mean you cant trade with them. They hardly even say anything except: OPEN? OPEN? You cant kill them. They all run into the rift as soon as you open it and never wait for you. They all quit as soon as you kill the boss. That is some of the worst AI I have ever seen in a game ever.
