Electronics gadgets have a way of doing that, usually a few days after your insurance/warranty runs out. As someone who has gone through a few smartphones, I have to say that the iPhone is probably the best/usable phone I have ever used. Im talking out of the box use here, just as a caveat. (Another caveat, I dont currently own or use the iPhone).

Quinn you are assuming that all of those effects and textures are feature complete and that it's simply a matter of not including them in the latest build. CD Project could have simply decided during development that it wasnt worth the effort and time to develop and include them in the release build for whatever reason (money and time being the primary ones probably). They might very well only be finished or included at some point after release in a texture pack or in some kind of "enhanced" edition.

If it was possible 2+ years ago, why in the flying fuck isn't it "feasible" now?

The answer to that question is the same answer to the question why Crysis2 and Crysis3 had worse graphics and smaller maps than Crysis1. It's a matter of simple economics. Im not saying I agree with that decision, but I do understand it.

When you have a dynamic, 'living' open game world like in the Witcher3 you have to cut corners somewhere if you want the game not to run like a slideshow on a wide range of hardware or don't want the game to have a 100Gb+ footprint.

Making a point by infering something I did not say goes a long way towards making your own point. Quite a straw man you got there bro.

An egalitarian system is something that we are fast approaching, I on the other hand am looking 20 years to the future where society might lean towards a matriarchal system. Notice I said 'might'. It's just speculation and a bit of fun on my part, Im not the one who feels threatened by any of it either way, you on the other hand seem to have really strong feelings about it, so strong in fact that you feel the need to completely misread my comment and make shit up so you could argue against a point I did not make.

It could also simply be optimization. Remember that the PC version needs to be able to work over a wide range of hardware and also needs to leave the smallest possible footprint on the hard disk. It's kind of dissapointing but then again gameplay should always trump graphics.

What?

They invented something for this, called "Graphics Options" or similar in the game's Menu. It's one of those advantages that PC's have over consoles.

Thats a very simplistic view to take. Not everything is scalable via a simple slider, especially things like high-resolution textures or those volumetric clouds and fire effects that are 'mysteriously' missing from recent screenshots and videos. Anyone who has ever worked with 3d graphics will tell you that it's always a balancing act between what is possible and what is feasible.

SJW

Lol dude, if you check my post history you would find that I have very little patience or sympathy for so called SJW and the self-promotional agenda of neofeminists like Sarkessian. On the other hand Im not blind to the current social trends, nor am I against feminism (in the true meaning of the word) or an egalitarian equal opportunity society.

Well even if Sega loses the Alien license, I don't doubt that we will be seing other Alien themed games. There is no reason to think that Creative Assembly wont do another or similarly themed game at some point in the future, perhaps with another publisher. After all Bloomkamp is on board to direct another Alien film right? Where there is hollywood, there be cash!

So you're saying that it's in the best interests of men to make sure that women are denied political and social power, because women cannot be trusted to defend or assist anyone but themselves - unlike men, who oddly enough, were the ones largely responsible for the raising of women's status in the modern world to begin with?

No, I was making a humorous point about how male dominated society has behaved and treated women since...well since the birth of history really. Since we as a society are slowly shifting towards an egalitarian system and all signs are pointing in the direction that women are increasingly becoming the dominant sex I wanted to point out that what goes around, comes around.

So can I ask you a question? How the fuck did you infer any of that idiocy from my comment, and what the hell is wrong with you that you would think that anyay?

I'm just really tired of being treated like a second banana by Bethsoft. Stop being so fucking cheap you bastards and build a proper and good PC UI. Jesus, we built your fucking company!
Because we're not the ones that sustain it in 2015.

They make more than enough on us that they can afford to do a separate, proper UI.

Maybe they'll take some from ESO and perhaps Sky. Just having a Skill Bar (ESO) makes a world of difference.

Skill Bar?? I hope thats sarcasm....

Nice deflection from me just proving you are the clueless one. And with your post above me, a liar too since no sane person under any communist regime would speak as you do unless brainwashed.

Like I said. No clue. It's sad really. Someone who is determined to fight for freedom but has no clue as to what it really means. If you think America is the home of the opressed and the downtrodden you are seriously delusional. Also reading comprehension?

Hint: Used to...

I wonder what they will do with F4, hopefully a (drastic) change of scenery! Or putting it back into F2 territory (tribes, drugs and slavery).
It would be interesting to see the Fallout universe from the point of view of another country.

No it wouldn't. The whole humour, atmosphere and general popular cultural tongue-in-cheek commentary that it has going on for it would fall flat on its face. I enjoy sci-fi as much as the next guy, but the thing that made Fallout (1, 2 and NV) stand out was shit like that. I will never forget the first time I had 'slaver' tattoed on my forehead, or the time I fought Evander Hollifield in New Reno....Ahhh good times....

It was a pretty good stealth game but it definitely overstays its welcome. I don't think many gamers really want a stealth game set in the Alien universe either, they want the chest pounding colonial marine type stuff.

Yep. I fall squarely in that camp. Or at least gimme a stealth game where I can actually do the stealth stuff on my own terms instead of following some predetermined path that I fail everytime, unless I follow it to the T.

Another no-brainer, lets hope its better than F3 (which sucked) and at least as good as F:NV (which was really good).

2.1 million sales dissapointing. What kind of numbers did they expect? Call of Duty? GTA?

It's a single-player survival horror game (which doesn't appeal to many, including myself) with limited replay value.

Notice I said 'game', not 'shooter', because AFAIK there is very little shooting going on in this game. Another reason why it didn't really sell as well as they expected.

It still sold remarkably well for a game of that nature, 2.1 million units is incredibly impressive for a game of that genre, but this is something that the suits at Weyland-Yut...erm SEGA will never understand.

JD, saying "Links" is something I won't respond to the way you expect -- it's a weak and lazy way to try to disprove something of common sense or experience in the matter. I could dismissively say "Links" to 95% of forum statements, and in the end just look the fool.

This is compounded to absurdity with your example of spamming "LINKS?" due to the subject matter being experienced by every taxpayer in America.

Of which only a handful would disagree because they are not taxpayers, or so far down the partisan rabbit hole that they'd be forced to rethink their convictions if they admitted what was read rang true.

If you're going to make wild assertions, you need to back it up with evidence. It's just that simple. We can't have a rational argument otherwise.

Facts don't need links, backup, or otherwise.

What facts? Your OP is batshit crazy to the n-th degree. I've read it three times and can't make sense of it. It reads like something the UNIBOMBer would have written before posting another 'package' to a university campus.
