Its not that simple, for example the article specifically mentions that the Iphone5 is much simpler to repair than the Iphone4 and yet its repair costs are significantly higher.

If Microsoft was doing something like this (artificially constraining supply to manipulate prices), they'd already be in court over it. Between this and the amount of articles defending Apple's tax avoidance strategies under the excuse "Well Microsoft does it too!", it's clear the incredible double standard for Apple in the press is alive and well.

Not only is it alive and well in the press, but in legislative governemnt and in the judiciary (recent ruling against Samsung). Looks like Apple has all its holes covered. Hmmm I wonder if that has anything to do with its limitless supply of cash?

It pisses me off that with every new architecture change we have to get a new mainboard, because of the fucking socket change. Fucking Intel trolls...

I happen to like Halo (at least the first one). I will be looking forward to this IF they decide to ship it to the PC. From what can be gleaned here Im thinking they are waiting for MS or Sony to approach them and give them truckloads of cash to make it a platform exclusive. So here's hoping that doesnt happen.

Short Version: Apple controls the Iphone parts market and wants you to buy phone insurance for 99$

Really short version: Do you think that 100Billion$ just appeared out of thin air in Ireland?

Shortest version: Greed.

This game really isn't anything new.

You're right, between Chivalry and War of Roses there is just such a supersaturation of multiplayer medieval melees. Lazy fucking developers need to grow some fucking balls and make a modern military shooter, instead.

Your sacrasm is not necessary. The mod has been out for years and now the same exact game is released for 25 bucks. That's what I was saying.

Oh you mean like Team Fortress 2? Damn I should have waited 15 years for the game to go F2P Im such a dumbass for buying it at release....

Nvidia and AMD playing nicely together? That's amazing.

I doubt it will be local calculations on the AMD hardware... it will probably be the cloud shit they were talking about.

How the Xbox One draws more processing power from cloud computing

I call bullshit on that entire article without even reading it. If you really believe that this shit can be done, Ive got a bridge to sell you, or better yet a lifetime subscription to OnLive...

I absolutely love Chivalry, or as I prefer to call it, Shouting Simulator 2013 (seriously just keep mashing the shout key, it uh gives you powers). What RaZ0r! said about the community is right though, so for the most part I completely ignore them. Nothing is really lost as the game is pretty self explanatory about the objectives. The real fun is when you start playing it with friends, especially duels amongst your friends.

Another nice thing about this game is that most people tend to suck at it. You will die a LOT, but then, so does everyone. There are usually only a couple of people each round that seem to be super awesome at the game and with practice it's not super hard to do decently.

This is good to hear. Easy to get into, hard to master. Sort of like the FPS games of old, Doom, Quake etc. Very promising.

World of Warplanes (beta) sucks. Major fail in the works there. WoT is decent but the greed of the developers prevents that game to truly shine. WoB isnt even in alpha as far as I know.

I don't know about greed. Other than premium tanks(which are generally average for tier, but increase credit generation), everything is now purchasable with ingame credits, no cash required. The worst thing about the game is the grind, not the greed.

The grind IS the greed. This game can not be played without premium, a month of premium gametime will set you back 15 Euros. Thats waaay to expensive in my book for what WoT will offer you. If they lessend the grind by about 50% that would be okay.

There is no reason to go for this card when the ATI 7970 is only 400-450$ (300$ less than this monster) and is arguably slower only at super high resolutions. @1080 the difference is arbitrary.

I like that they used little bricks to give the appearance of big bricks.

Heh, I actually wished they'd made a "real" one out of Legos, not a larger version of the actual Lego one.

Yeah kind of lame and a waste of bricks to make a carbon copy of the small lego model, instead of a much more 'realistic' model, although it is recognisably LEGO which I guess is the point...

PC = Personal Computer.

IBM compatible PC = a type of open computer architecture, most the components you can buy today have to be IBM compatible to work with your PC. The system is open and is designed to work with any OS, program, application etc....

Apple Computer = Closed system architecture, works only with Apple OSes and Apple certified software and hardware.

Pretty sure that I know who will be purchasing the Total Annihilation IP...or at least bidding on it.
Gas Powered Games?

I would be more than a little surprised if Chris Taylor couldn't convince his new owners to put in a bid, especially at the paltry sum of $250k... I could see a kickstarter start for this ; ) Though, what they'd do with it, I'm not sure.

-Alamar

Yep that would be my guess. I imagine a new Total Annihilation, which could be kind of cool, although to be fair I couldnt get in to the last one, what was it called Supreme Commander 2 right? Kind of sucked...
