The irony of Symantec/Norton warning people about security is amusing given the state of their residential consumer protection software. You mean #1 on Consumer Reports for 2010? Or did you intend to post that comment 4 years ago?
Recent Symantec/Norton AV releases are much improved. |

Which game development house are you from again? Or are you with a publisher? Judging by his comments, pretty sure he's a Hellgate: London developer. |

so any debate about who's copying from who is basically flawed from the start. MMOs all copy from each other heavily. Its the nature of the competitive MMO market." It seems we agree that Mark Jacobs and InBlack are "basically flawed" stupids for railing on Blizzard about what they copied!

I think it was Jeff Kaplan who said they like to look at other games and learn from them - well, I'm fatter." What a horrible hypocritical idiot
I'm enjoying Warhammer, but every time this guy speaks I wonder how the shop that employs him made a decent game. |

I love not having to quest all day to level up in war. I can play PVP all day long in War and earn crazy xp doing it. I get to play against other players, earn XP, and not worry about penalties for death when I die. Cha-Ching, someone finally offered something the pvp crowd can get behind. For the battleground-style PVP instances, what are the queue times like? Can you get into one during 'off' hours?

I found this post on the community forums for WAR:
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120832
It sums up the current state of WAR. Don't mistake 'real' for 'negative'. I'll also point out that attacking Mark Jacobs doesn't support anyone's argument, or make you more "cool" or "credible." It's just mean.
They say "MJ is quite fat." But what software developer isn't? And how is that relevant?
Some say he communicates in a way that's hyperactive, knee-jerk and enough to make even his fanboys cringe. I say, since when is it a crime to care too much?
"What's the difference between Mark Jacobs and a pit bull? Lipstick." Funny, but mean.
They seem to think "This is a man with emotional maturity of a 14 y/o, the charisma of Andy Dick, and the vision of Ray Charles." Touche.
The one point I agree with is an utter lack of vision and ambition (in his games, not his career). To put it nicely, WAR is mildly evolutionary, with as many regressions as advances in the genre.
Bloggingly, Carnom
EDIT: My sincere apologies to Mark Jacobs and his family. Upon closer inspection, no one had actually been attacking him.

Question is.. Can they keep them? In response to the first poster,
I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I really intended to respond sooner, but I had to go visit my girlfriends parents for her father's birthday this weekend. We almost made him subscriber # 500,001, but ended up getting him an office chair instead. He broke his foot right before we got there, so that was kind of a bummer.
Anyhoo!
Yea, I think they can keep them.

Precisely. This reminds me of a conversation my mom and I had last night:
Meg: I just want to kill myself I'm gonna go upstairs and eat a whole bowl of peanuts. (Lois and Peter stare in silence) Meg: I'm allergic to peanuts. (Peter and Lois keep staring) Meg: You dont know anything about me. (runs upstairs) Peter: Who was that guy? Nice try, but I know an episode of Full House when I hear one. Speaking of which this news story is nearly IDENTICAL to one famous episode... I wonder if it's where they got the idea?

no doubt.. its kinda fucked that people can miss that "oh look! a shiny new hamster wheel to run around in endlessly! its all different colored and stuff!" Yes, it's definitely possible you're more perceptive than every MMO player. Or maybe people don't miss it, but still enjoy it? Or maybe your perceptacles need adjustment?
The WoW expansion fits the different colored hamster wheel analogy.
WAR is more like a new hamster square. True, it doesn't function as smooth as the wheel, but some people / hamsters like corners.

The thing is, you can look at the election as a parallel to WoW and WAR:
McCain / WoW - Old and tired - Repetitive - Proposing an expansion to the last 4 years - Associated with divorce
Obama / WAR - New and fresh and black - Biden is a Witch Hunter - Not as appealing to women
Anyhow, WAR is just starting it's campaign against WoW, but the election shows us where things are heading.
PS, Hillary = AOC
