Well considering there was a 'Classic' difficulty that actually unlocked the full AI, i wouldnt say that starting on normal is what most gamers did. Especially xcom vets.

They are going to lose so much money...

I don't know why you think this, they aren't really manufacturing much, they did a few partnerships and some original design on the controller. They are also starting small on purpose instead of going too big too fast which is the biggest mistake companies make in manufacturing.

Well first off the market for titan's and 780's isnt really all that big. Second they do have to buy in bulk to get discounts. Third
It may, however, be the kind of machine that a significant percentage of Steam users would actually want to purchase
is just going to be flat out wrong.

Heads up, GMG has Xcom: Enemy Within for 10% off plus a $4 cashback, or $6 GMG credit. Making the total $22.99 or 20.99 depending.

Fek. I'm gonna get those prices right...eventually, damn pain meds.

Too good to pass up, ok thats it for me for the next few months. Got this and X-Rebirth on preorder. Locking up my wallet until christmas

Are your surge protectors working as intended, Blue? Sure your house didn't suffer some big spike a while back? I'm due for a new power back up and some protectors myself I think.

And that article on quantum computing is trippy. Never really considered how you verify that a quantum calculation is correct.

Surge protectors are a joke btw, power conditioners are the way to go.

Valve just trademarked Half-life 3, although that certainly doesnt mean its in development. Still a step in the right direction.

"I'm sorry, but why on earth are you buying two GTX 690s when the R9 290X is specifically designed for 4K resolution monitors and you don't have to worry about your system being taxed?"

"The leaked benchmarks peg the Radeon R9-290X as equal or slightly faster than Nvidia’s GTX Titan"

The GTX 690 is more powerful than the R9-290x and the Titan. The only problem is I can only have two of them I think, whereas 3 or 4 R9-290X's would be superior.

Not sure what I'm going to do about this.

I think I will go with Nvidia. I have seen the inconsistent delivery of frames on Radeon cards and it looks absolutely horrible.

I think the important thing is remember that the vram gets split on the 690 (as its two gpu's SLI'd in of itself). So you'll effectively only have half of one cards working vram, which will also be the exact same while running two cards in 4way SLI. That said try to get as much vram as possible. As for the R9-290X being built for 4k resolution...ya thats a joke waiting to happen since it only has 4gb of vram.

As for this entire 60 vs 30fps, even with the PS4's hardware it would be hardpressed to maintain a constant 60fps with absolutely no dips on the latest games at 1080p. Constant 30fps is a lot easier to do and plan for.

Having said that, I really need to get Prison Architect...as well as the time to play it!!!

I really dig PA, every update (which is about 1 a month) really adds quite a bit to the game. Its already pretty great, i've already got my money's worth from it i feel.

Dexter is over.....weird ending.....

SST: I think they left it open knowing that it can always be brought back.....use his son for a story arc, etc etc etc

Bad ending to a horrible season for a great show. Apparently the show was suppose to end last season but at the last minute a rewrite went forth and all the actors were really pissed off about it. It really shows in the last season, how lazy the writing became.

As for DVR'ing, since i live over here in europe i've takin it upon myself to build a pretty awesome digital collection. Almost filled up two 3tb drives with over 110 series (over 6000 episodes) and 350+ movies, most are all HD quality. Got it all running with a XBMC interface plugged into the tv from a laptop (streamed cat5e from my desktop). Works out splendidly!

Will this actually sell any copies when it comes out? Feels like 90% of the people have already given tons of cash and gotten copies of the game already.

There's no publisher or investors who require a profit. They can basically just do another kickstarter and keep on making games. If the game is good, people will buy the next ones.

Instead of supporting their MMO/Single player game post release?

I'm never played any of theses "X" games before, is this an MMO?

Single player sandbox space sim with one of the most advanced economies in a game. Also heavily supported by community mods. It has a pretty high learning curve though, especially with some of the mods that are almost essential IMO. X Rebirth supposedly helping with the learning curve though, but thats never been a problem for me.
