I got a confession to make. Im playing too much D3:ROS to give much attention to POE. I was a huge D3 vanilla hater, but ROS has sucked me in. Still hate a lot of things about it, but its fucking addictive crack shit....

For me, i think ROS goes a long way to helping making D3 fun, but its such a shallow experience to me, its pointless. Dont know how else to put it. In D3 i feel like i play to get loot to......play more to get more loot....which is pretty circular. In POE it feels like i'm playing to face challenges and the loot is a means to do that. Also D3's skill system is such a travesty, not a 100th as deep as D2 was, even without 10 years of patches.

But i think to each their own, whatever floats your boat.

Which is good for my dumbass as i dont think i'll be learning german anytime soon.
I tried German in HS and college -- but couldn't get it into my brain. I am just not wired for multiple languages.

For myself i feel its too late. I've tried multiple languages dozens of classes/teachers/programs and it seems like i get to a certain progress point and then its like hitting a brick wall. Luckily my wife is smarter then I and speaks 5 languages fluently. I think it also has to do with how late i started (in my late 20's) and my wife she was practically bilingual since she could speak. In a few years when we decide to have children learning a 2nd and 3rd language at a young age (euro's do this right!) will be emphasized.

As an american living in germany, i have a lot of german gamer friends, not one of them would prefer to play a game in german rather then english. Most educated germans here are fluent (and i mean fluent) in english. Which is good for my dumbass as i dont think i'll be learning german anytime soon. So they'll just buy or download the english non censored version.

As everything else, ya damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Blue,

I'm sorry to inform you, but we don't have a Queensday anymore in the Netherlands. Her son, Willem-Alexander, is on the thrown now. So from now on we have a Kingsday on the 27th of april.

27th is his birthday, but this first Kings day was on the 26th, on saturday. I was there and it was pretty awesome

Thats a great deal on Prison Architect, the newest alpha 20 (they release one every month) adds an interesting new feature. If you are criminally negilgent while running your prison, then you are jailed and sent to do time in your own prison. You now control a single prisoner in your prison that you were formerly a warden of. This game has come so far, i've enjoyed it a lot. Its as good as sims get and its still getting better.

I think Phil Jackson is the one person that won't take any crap from Dolan. He didn't take the job for money so he's not worried about being fired.

As a laker fan of the past 30+ years and watched Phil do his thing for a decent part of it on the lakers i can atest to this. He'll come out on top over Dolan or he'll just wont have it.

Watching the trailer earlier (when the V/O starts), I thought that was French Hottie, back from DA1...oh well.

I'm excited for the game. DA2 was disappointing because it wasn't really a worthy sequel to the excellent first game, but I still had fun with it. Bioware's worst game is still better than nine of out ten games out there.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. While DA2 wasnt nearly as good as DA1, it was still better then most games in the genre. So i guess i'll echo what so many others have said, in that i'll be waiting for reviews and early adopters after a month to get an idea of where this falls into place. Origin though, ouch that already puts the game at a disadvantage to me.

Seems odd to have Mantle support for something that dosen't need it.

Have you played RomeII by any chance? If the engine is anything like the one used for RomeII's strategy map then hell yeah they sure as fuck need it...

Civ series has never been a real time strategy game, they are always turn based. So ya, CPU > GPU

Erm, the strategy map of Total War games is Turn Based.

Which isnt that demanding on the GPU. Rome2's turn based map its the CPU thats more demanded of. For the RTS part its the GPU.

Mad Men season 7 lowest numbers since 2008.

Aren't people tired of Mad Men yet? It's a great show, but I'll watch a season, and then take a loooooong break from watching more. I don't think I'll even get seasons 6 or 7.

All TV shows should just last five years. Stuff gets stale after five years.

Also, that "decades old debt" thing is fucking unbelievable... "We can't prove you owe money, but we're taking it anyway. Fuck you."

Thanks government. You guys are the fucking BEST.

I was excited that Mad Men came back, then i watched the episode and i was like oh ya, more of exactly the same. I think this show has run its course, the 1 dimensional charactors with little to no arc is a bit out of place in this post breaking bad tv world.
