dj LiTh wrote on Mar 16, 2013, 10:32: Too little too late, also i much rather them patch SC1 Agreed, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is the superior game. It approaches the same atmosphere of Total Annihilation's slowly evolving battle-lines and skirmish points especially when you slow it down and remove nukes/game-enders in the options. However the UI and waypointing system are still light-years ahead of anything else, including TA.
But what do you think still needs fixing in SC1? There are plenty of mods and maps and the base game runs very well, no anecdotal problems on a few systems, in fact the opposite! Honestly....true multithreading support, the hacks dont really do it justice. I have high hopes for PA that it will be. |

I'll prob. get this expansion anyhow because I appreciate the work they put in and enjoy the new Civs....plus you can always turn off religion and esp. in the game settings.
In our mid 30's and living 45 minutes apart, this is the only game my friends and I will actually get together and lug computers to one house for a night of drinking and Civ. It plays so much better in person, especially when we take a smoke break and yap about what's going on in the game and try to bluff about how great we're each doing. I don't think we've yet completed a game....it gets to a point where it's 3 AM and there's an obvious winner. If you think this game is to complex or if thats even a drawback then this isnt the game nor genre for you. |

How dare you expect Blizzard to innovate rather than rehash the same 10 year+ old starcraft with a new subtag line? Heresy! Or pulling the camera out in multiplayer gives you a huge advantage, but hey why let balance get in the way of your bashing. lol balance in a blizzard RTS where 99.9% of the games played are over in under 10 minutes. Balance is the last thing I'd worry about in their RTS'es. Based on your comments I am pretty sure you never actually played SC2. No I have, and every mp game boils down to who can base rush quickest. Hardly what I would call fun for a strategy game. Well, not if your any good, then no. |

| Interesting timing, a record store thats been around since atleast 1995 selling electronic music records called Grooveriders near Los Angeles is also closing its doors sadly. Sign of the times when most "dj's" use cdj's and cannot match a bpm to save their life without an autosync button. Sigh |

...honestly, I've done far dumber things with far more money than that. Well sure, you can give them that 1$ but you know they're gonna be back on the corner begging for another dollar next month |

SlimRam wrote on Mar 6, 2013, 17:03: Isn't this the game that's supposed to "tie in" with the tv show? I've read that some of the actual player created characters could possibly make it into the show? I've been trying to wrap my brain around this concept and I can imagine that this is probably total bullshit.....but... Could someone here explain how the game and the tv show are supposed to work together? It confuses me...then again, I get easily distracted by shiny objects so explaining this to me is probably a mute point Yep, which is exactly why i'm a wait and see on both |
