An option that defaults to on. Something people here would understand how to turn off but the non-tech savvy would have their eyes glaze over if someone tried explaining it to them. If it was opt-in there would be no problem, and with the backlash the news is getting hopefully they will change that.

That's a good point. I didnt realize it was defaulted to ON, if so they should patch that to default Off absolutely.

Considering this is MOBA-lite it matters even less compared to a competitive RTS game like SC2 or even a full MOBA like LoL or Dota2. I assume Blizzard will act accordingly.

For myself i rarely ever trade. I really enjoy doing the lone wolf thing especially in this game. The greatest thing is that the currency system really supports this. I'll normally start Alch'ing (Alchemy Orb) white 2stone rings until i get a few decent ones and really helping max my resists, then i'll start on other gear that I need. Its absolutely true its way more beneficial to not spend your currency and to just trade it, but if your so inclined you can solo this game just fine. I play hardcore almost exlusively and have reached level 90 in less then a month of play (few hours each day, nothing crazy).

Sometimes this is really hard in new leagues and it does come down to RNGesus but more often then not you can get by just fine.

Im sick of HOTS, and currently waiting for DCS World 2. I think Ill be going back to POE and creating a nice new character when this hits. Might even start messing around with Hardcore.

Any suggestions, for a (not a complete newbie) what character I should start out with? Im looking for a char that is not so much gear dependant.

To be honest there is so much changes in 2.0 that half the builds are broken and there's about another 10,000 builds to replace them. The amount of content and changes to the game is indeed staggering. I'd recommend just looking at what main skills you find the most enjoyable and build off of that. Lots of old skills that werent so good got boosts. There's also a ton of new skills to play around with. Melee seems to be in favor throughout the beta though.

If you guys enjoy ARK's style of gameplay then i can recommend 7days to Die. The crafting system is pretty sweet and only getting better.

Doesnt look like anyone read past the title. Everything about this TM is about gambling and casino machines. There is no video game to be seen here.

@ Cutter, you are indeed in the minority

Wow some suprises... i'm ok with Russel, but i wish we drafted Okafor to pair him with Randle. Porzingis seems like a big gamble but Phil likes his bigs, he's never been known to be a good developer of work in progress players though. It will be an interesting year. Especially once the free agents hit the market

Just as long as my Lakers (still cant believe we moved up to #2 when all i wanted was to keep in the top 5 pick) dont do something immensely stupid (Jim Bus i'm looking at you) and trade it, Clarkson, and Randle for the mental midget that is Demarcus Cousins.

Good luck to your Knicks tonight blue!

You should be fine. Take a look at their draft history: the Lakers are the anti-Knicks.

We do have a solid draft history...when we do get to draft that is. But its the trades that have me worried. Ever since Jim Bus has taken over its been bad move after bad move.

I dont own the game, however someone correct me if i'm wrong but if my memory is right then there was actually very little differences between DX10 and DX11. Infact most DX10 cards had 95% of what it took to run a game in DX11. So that said this just seems really weird and not at all above board with that assertion.

PoE/D2 you can play for years on end and never get bored.
False, bored to death with both of them also.

PoE is the same story as D3, new patch additions lure you in, level up a toon just to ditch him upon reaching high end because it's the same all over again.

And D2... what's the point of doing Baal or Mephisto runs for hours? Rly?

Except that PoE at least gives you a million different ways to build a character. So many very different skills and combinations, as well as Vaal skills and much better crafting system. With upcoming 2.0 release, we also get jewels, divination cards, more new skills, new monsters, and new play mechanics each season, on top of an entire new act for the game. I sometimes get bored with a character, but I keep coming back to try something new.

This has also been my experience, the sheer depth of PoE puts it in a class of its own among ARPG's with only D2 able to match up (and D2 its more then 10 years old)

My last AMD/ATI card was a 9800pro. That came out in 2003, my reasoning was that the drivers for the last few AMD cards i owned were just going to shit (had a 9700 before that). It just seems like a business as usual type of thing for AMD/ATI. Nvidia is far from perfect, but they do put considerably more effort in there drivers.
"

yeah bullshit.

9800 was the very next card after the 9700 so what is this "last few amd cards" bullshit?

That was also during the time AMD was wiping the floor with nvidia in the driver and performance department. Nvidia was cheating in every benchmark just to try and keep up. AMD had a public driver beta tester program going during that and the next 2 generations of products. In fact their main driver guy was hired FROM Nvidia.

Seriously.. you guys are like brain washed nvidia drones. posting the same irrational crap in every thread.

Nvidia cheats and does underhanded shit. Those are the facts. Just like what is going on with this game. Do you really think it takes a 3gb AMD card to keep up with a 2GB Nvidia card?

Use your brains people, this is all underhanded marketing bullshit spearheaded by Nvidia.

The only one spouting bullshit is you. I said the 9800pro not the 9800, there is a difference. Maybe you were too young to remember? Maybe you didnt remember just how fun Catalyst drivers were with windows xp at the time regardless of ATI's performance edge against nvidia at the time. Maybe you remember the reason why they started that beta program for their drivers...maybe not.

Unlike you against nvidia, i have nothing against ATI. I would gladly jump ship if see a good reason to. I've always gone with the better overall value, regardless if it was AMD/Intel or ATI/Nvidia.

That free Windows 10 promise to pirated versions of Windows was questionable the begin with anyways.
With that said all pirated versions say "Genuine" anyways so I am pretty sure it will be easy enough to trick the authentication process to get 10 for free.
It's Microsoft's best interest to have everyone and their dog onto 10.

I actually upgraded a Pirated Win7Ultimate to a 8 for i think 15$ at the time? Now it looks like that 15$ is going further then i thought it would. If its anything like how they did the upgrade from 7 to 8, it shouldnt be too hard to get the legit version if your savvy enough.
I think it was $35 for the first year to get Win8.
Either way I don't know why Microsoft cares for Genuine versions when they are giving the OS away for free anyways.
Just give it away for everyone and eliminate the piracy.
They obviously aren't making their money on the OS sales

Here's the link It was for upgrades if you bought a laptop or computer with win7 within like the last 3months right before release.

I was tempted, but only thing i really wanted was GTA5, but i'm waiting for the next generation of nvidia cards before i grab it on discount then. I'll parrot what everyone else said, basically too big a back log and nothing really enticing, especially with the knowledge of so many games i want from E3 coming in the near future.

Star Ruler 2 rocks. It is a very underrated game that didn't get enough press.

Maybe thats because there's Star Ruler 1 which is still without half of the promised features... Let me guess they promise all those missing ones in Star Ruler 2 but they arent quite finished right? ...

Sounds like your next project should be an awning for the bbq so you can bbq during these moments. Works ok if you put the bbq near the edge so the smoke doesnt linger.
