If they want me to consider buying any dlc in the future they need to first patch up the game so it's working properly.

I almost completely overlooked Dishonored. If it wasn't for a link to an rps review (perhaps preview, I forget) from this site I probably wouldn't have got it. On the flipside, I'm very glad I did. I'm on my third playthrough now and still finding things out which I missed before, despite trying to be thorough. I estimate I should easily get around 60 hours out of this, and I got it discounted so the bang for pound (pun intended) ratio is pretty good.

I could say I got more hours out of Skyrim, but I'd have to then say I got more quality time out of Dishonored. It's more compact.

XCOM... I'm waiting for the patch. It's an awesome game when it's doing what it should be doing, but some of those bugs are showstoppers. I hear Firaxis has a reputation for patching things up good so I'm waiting. From what's come out so far it looks like they were pressed into releasing earlier than they'd have liked.

Ah, so that's the late game non-lethal skewing quest bug people were referring to. Makes sense.

Dishonored is the second game where I've played it through again and I've found overlooked areas, new tricks and combinations, and subsequently more appreciation for what's gone into the game. The other game which left me feeling this way was the original Deus Ex.

I'm finding it very hard to fault.

News Comments > PlanetSide 2 Next Month
5. Re: PlanetSide 2 Next Month Oct 19, 2012, 10:46 J

I find I get more "memorable moments" when I play the original Planetside (even recently) than I do with Planetside 2. I find Planetside 2 easily forgettable.

I'm not entirely sure why, but I think the lack of inter-player communication and the blandness of the cert upgrades may factor in. I think because there's so many more upgrades that they cannot be as distinctive, but then I found even on the week with the faster certifications that I didn't appreciate them nearly as much as I did with the original Planetside certifications.

Honestly, I don't think this is Planetside. I think it's Battlefield. I had a quick watch of a Battlefield video once on YouTube and instead of thinking "Hey, that looks like Planetside" I thought "That's where Planetside draws its inspiration from."

I believe Planetside has lost what made it Planetside; its character. Having said that, I try to be fair, so I'll be checking up on it periodically.

Edit: I didn't experience any slowdowns, even when running a Minecraft server in the background. And I have a GTX260, quad core, 5 gigs of ram. Admittedly, however, I did have slowdown with 3 gigs of ram.

Many medical devices 20 years ago were strictly firmware driven with no internet and going back to that would solve a lot of these malware problems.
So were home computers

This is what I mean. I hit some pretty serious bugs in the alien base so now I'm waiting for the game to be patched.

When it runs right it's awesome, but some of those bugs are one hell of a speed bump

And that's how it should be. DX:HR suffered with making non-lethal too easy and then giving lots of rewards for it. Too many in fact.

I'm on my second playthrough now. My first one was about twenty hours, and I was rushing near the end because I thought I had almost finished and that thought stuck with me.

I'm appreciating it more on the second playthrough as I am discovering things I missed the first time around, even though I was trying to catch as much as possible on the first playthrough.

It's easily tiding me over whilst I wait for XCOM to be patched.
