I respect a company that refuses to release a game that is not done and is willing to scrap that project and start over if it is not up to a certain standard. Starting over is never an easy thing to do. Of course they have made a lot mistakes and have been utterly inefficient in terms of getting the game finished, but who really cares? They've set a high bar of expectation with Duke Nukem 3D, and the worst thing they could have done is released a crappy game just to get it out. What kind of psychological damage is this all causing for there to be such bitterness in the community? It just does not make sense.
So go grab a box of fruity pebbles and chill out. Especially you, Batman.

A bunch of lonely souls tormented as children with all the hype and non-release of Duke Nukem Forever. Throughout the years they grew angry and cold at the franchise. Even to this day, those angry men hold it against 3DRealms for all the pain and suffering they faced as a child, and vow to one day take revenge for such blasphemy.

I have no idea why there are so many of you bitter people in the world. If you don't like it, don't buy the game. Its as simple as that. No need to bitch and complain when they don't give any information, and then do the same thing when they do give info.
3DRealms tries to do something nice for their fans for the holidays and all you guys do is complain.
IT IS JUST A GAME. Get over it.

@Mustang60348: What's with the bitterness? Are you mad that 3DRealms could not spin out gold in 3 nights, Rumpelstiltskin? Patience is a virtue.
I am happy to see a company like 3DRealms not follow a traditional developer/publisher relationship and wish them the best of luck in the future.
