News Comments > Steam Top 10
7. Re: Steam Top 10 Oct 30, 2011, 18:20 Ginny

fm's a consumer product over here, it's been talked about as pop culture for about the last 15 years.

Spose it's like madden is in the states, you're all in on it.

Ohh and the bonus, it's not been cracked yet:)

/goes back to playing it....

Bit harsh blue, only the trolls and the haters bash football here in the uk.

I know it's a kicker losing a game if you attend, but having been to a london game myself, i got nothing but thanks for it coming over.

i wish our game would go over to the states for a fair trade.

News Comments > CCP Layoffs
7. Re: CCP Layoffs Oct 20, 2011, 01:23 Ginny

Considering the cash grab they've been on recently, im not suprised.

75% steam, bulk buy rmt isk, come back $5 offers, it was clear they were having problems when you couple that with the drop in numbers in the last few months.

Tbh i can only see futher woes, until they boot out the mass rmt/bots that kill eves end game.

That might keep them in business, but it's killing them longterm.

21. Re: EVE Online Defectors Get Apology Discount Oct 15, 2011, 00:33 Ginny

I wouldn't be drawn in to this, it's a smoke screen.

One of the more realistic reasons people unsubbed, they got fed up with rmt/bots that rule eve's end game.

CCP's failing that they do bugger all about.

News Comments > EVE Online Mea Culpa; Expansion Plans
7. Re: EVE Online Mea Culpa; Expansion Plans Oct 6, 2011, 01:19 Ginny

Fixes and balancing, expansion?

Cross your fingers on the former, they allready allude things "may not make it into this particular expansion" which for ccp is saying something considering they normaly say nothing till you don't see it come patch day.

Balancing is rather moot, the playerbase is so hardcore stale now, they simpley nail any balancing with the mighty metagame and flavour of the month... 1 step forward, two steps back.

Of which is pointless anyway till ccp decides to cut away the RMT bot brigade, thats why people are leaving eve on the shelf these days.

Origins very own summer of arcade?

Seems like a glove fit to me, promoting their platform and spreading the love.

Looking at the way others like xbla and psn use their service to hammer back the throwbacks, ea must have considered it.

Strike series/

bahh, nothing wrong with nuclear strike, it's perfection...

Just the graphics are total naff, being an early 3d title.

You know, you could Fix that:)

640 res, fov 110.

It was indeed slow, default fov 90 and it felt like you triping over you're own feet. 110 and you were triping as fast as qw/q3.

All i want is a simple dm1/8 downloadable on new tech.. the moves you could do on those maps don't exist in fps's these days.

Jc revisited that, id sent the fella love letters for life:)

Parents have little or nothing to do with it.

The majority of the people causing the current issues we have here in the uk have become completely polarized by social networking.

24/7 surrounded by negative opinion, hatefull views, all thinking the same thing with a pack mentality.

Little or no wonder people lose complete sensibility, many think they're doing no wrong.

1. Re: EVE Online CSM Appeased Jul 4, 2011, 17:31 Ginny

Here's hoping they sell enough of those vanity items.

No way they can backtrack now.

Have my doubts personaly, comments from the entrenched hardcore suggest they're not botherd with vanity, and the vocal mob over the last week largely laud the fact they don't pay a penny towards eve, and wouldn't be involved if they had to.

Lets hope there's enough of those carebears eve welcomes so warmly are prepared to lap the stuff up.

For me the incarnica avatar enviroment they introduced to attract the casual crowd still has a million miles to go.

Whats astounded me most were the comments of previous employees as reguards to their level of professionalism.

Previous employees are always the best source of true and unbiased information about a company.

I aggree, but most of those people were genuinely happy with the company, just they couldn't look beyond what the organisation was.

Honestly, if you can't figure out why the wheels fall off reguarding ccp's shortcomings, go here: http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/CCP-Games-Reviews-E159347.htm

Listening to the radio podcast with an ex ccp employee the other day seemed to confirm most of whats said in those comments.

11. Re: EVE Online Player Exodus? Jun 28, 2011, 12:56 Ginny

The sheer apathy shown by ccp down the years is finaly stinging them in the backside (about bloody time). In the last few days iv'e seen people voicing extreme disapointment in ccp, coming from individuals id never thought id see it coming from.

All the things they've brushed over, people should look back and apply the mindset they have now over their previous.

Whats astounded me most were the comments of previous employees as reguards to their level of professionalism.

Shocking, but then seeing is believing, and there's been no shortage of that from ccp over the 8 years they've been running eve.

Goooooo Tribes 2!!!

Course you'd be a frekin idiot to belive that the harsh complex system of doing all things tribes/2 related will have anything to do with ascend.

Pc lead or not, no way the super duper ui, million and one command and combo's are coming back.

6. Re: GRID Off the Grid Jun 20, 2011, 13:00 Ginny

Wide of the mark JC, plenty still play it, i still play it.

Grids still a quality game, with no sequel yet. The compare between ea shuting down a yearly update isn't a fair one.

Codemasters realy have jumped the shark, there as money grubbs as the acti's, ea's of the business these days.

They used to be a very games/gamers first company, they built their entire reputation on it.

There last 2 or 3 releases have been market driven and low on quality with ad nauseum gameplay designed for the dlc model.
