Is it that they are so proud of their specific flavor or are they trying to distance themselves from the other kinds?

I would say it's meant to create an understanding that they are all in the same boat, critically speaking.

Ok, thanks.

Fun discussion.

This was making me wonder why is there an LGBT at all instead of just G. Are they not all at least part gay so why do they feel like they need to make such granular distinctions? Is it that they are so proud of their specific flavor or are they trying to distance themselves from the other kinds?

Just curious.

Hey, who knows, maybe he'll use the money to start some anti-corporate political action committee, or use the money to eliminate malaria in Africa. I'd say wait and see.

...or that's a helluva lot of hookers and booze.

The ad is the main reason why people think he's egotistical. Of course that was a long time ago and he's apologized since. I say it's time to give him a break.

John Romero's about to make you his bitch.

You're right. He never said he would avoid zombies. Maybe he'll do a casual walking game where you play as a zombie.

I avoid kickstarter because I'm not really interested in investing in a game project that may/may not finish, I'm more interested in buying a working game.

That said, the first red flag to me was the $50K goal. I've worked on many games and the cheapest budget was $300K 15 years ago. No idea how you can make a decent modern game for so little.

Well I played only Rush on BC2 and logged over 100 hours doing that. Things that made it fun:

Bug free (for the most part). Some people had problems, but well I didn't.
Maps had all the buildings destroyable. Added more options.
Maps had better flow. Yes some of them bottlenecked, but it was still fun to try and break.
In GAME server browser.
Weapons felt like they would kill people, then they did.
Single player was a rail with more freedom and enjoyable writing.
Steam instead of Origins. Not sure how much that matters.

I know I missed a few, but well that's the best my just woke up brain can handle.

^ This.

God awful acting, campy special effects, forced dialogue. It looks like a poorly thrown together, straight to dvd sci fi flick by a first year film student.

Anyhow, for my cheesy sci-fi aliens-esque shows.. Falling Skies does it for me.

This.

Probably being hit a little hard, but there should be a play now button on the link given, that downloads a small app and then install from there. It's working, may have to refresh a couple times.

I think you are right. Now, when I login it goes to the game instead of Lego.com. Thanks.

I have 3 little girls that would love to try this. Unfortunately, when you login it just goes to the Lego website, not to the game. If someone figures this out, let me know.

right now Xbox One controllers are too expensive but when they get cheaper I'd get one just for PC. I'd say better for FPS games than a PS4 controller, and more precise. mouse and keyboard is ultimately the best, but not while reclining on the couch.

Are you saying you use an console controller on a PC for FPS games? That's interesting. I play FPS's only on PC for the mouse alone and its been that way since Quake.

Also, if you ban gunpowder, it doesn't somehow miraculously make all existing guns and ammo disappear

I'm not exactly sure how you enforce a ban on gunpowder to begin with. Physical force won't work because you're going to be outmatched unless you have exponentially greater numbers. Economic sanctions won't work because that will just force them to outright attack you.

Mutually agreeing to refrain from certain types of weapons has been done and generally works: Geneva Protocol

The reason that we fight modern wars with conventional arms is because no one wants to risk having chemical or nuclear weapons used against them.

100% agree with as. Having worked as a game developer with both EA and MS as publishers, I would say that if there's a bad taste, it would be EA.
