News Comments > Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare "Reverse Boosting" Bans
2. Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Jan 19, 2015, 12:04 Linksil

I was wondering the same thing. I mean yea your down one player as a team... but most online matches in this game I have played, you are always "Down one" or up to 4 players. How is getting a ban from this and ruining the suicide players version of fun in the game different then someone that puts in 100,000 hours and comes in 1 shotting everyone on my team and ruining my exp in the game? It's impossible to ban someone for ruining fun when they find that fun themselves. Might as well ban everyone on the server at the time for having fun.

Disappointing, but they do apologize... will hopefully be great when it does get here.

If they really cared they'ed drop the price down to 30$ which was how much you can get the PS4/xbox one version for during the holidays.

All I know is I backed this way way way back at the start when they only had like .5mil and I still haven't even bothered to download any of these "modules". Also I never got any instructions on HOW to do it. Maybe it's because I don't pay attention to the game every day like others.

I'm sorry, I know it's usually against store rules if you work there. But if that kid was doing that in the store I worked at he would have been restrained WAY before he did that much damage. Mostly because I wouldn't want to have to clean it up and explain it to the upper management.

Said the same thing all week with the 25-30 dollar GTA5 for xbone and PS4. Smash bros from 30$ was an instant grab though.

I may just pick up both FFXIII and XIII-2 on the PC when they're on sale, and play them on PC then. My PS3 is getting pretty long in the tooth.

Thanks all.

They are suppose to be patching in the graphics(res) options into the FF13 port sometime sooner then latter. I've already played through them on ps3... but both games were enjoyable enough that when it drops to a 5-10$ range it won't be a hard choice to pick up.

for some crazy reason, whenever i start a match its horribly ultra low fps (like 5-10) for about a minute or two.. after that its perfectly fine

not sure what the fuck its about, but its really damn annoying

im on a 970 so i know its not a gfx deficit

I'm on a Nvidia, and their drivers (for COD:AW) dropped that time to 15 seconds top. Use to be really bad on release.

I have not tried it lately, but I never had a load time issue in MP. Only one I ran into was in SP and that was the whole shader caching issue.

As for the game, I think the SP in AW was far better then any of the latest COD since 4. I didn't have a problem with the spawns and it didn't feel like I was just having wave after wave of guys thrown at me to increase diff, like the last few IW COD's. Playing through the last three IW COD's on max diff was spot on everything the earlier posters said they hate in games. Only real problem i've had with the release is the whole lack of dedicated servers(that they said they would have on release, I figured they would at least go the BF route in renting them out offical like). Which has led to a really hard time finding matches.

Link?

It's 20$ for the game+season pass. So my question is: Is it worth it to buy it? and do you have to have a season pass to find games since it's online only.

That being said i'm really tempted to get evil within at the 20$ price.

I'm very very sure this is not the last round. Unless they're referencing something like drinking or what people do while "playing".

Doesn't dedicated servers also usually means mod tools?
So people can play modded games on their private servers vs official?
I mean if there are mod tools that means $0 in DLC sales.
Horse armor and what not.

You can have dedicated servers without mod tools. If i'm remembering right the BF games are still on dedicated, you just have to rent them from "trusted" hosts vs hosting them yourself. While self hosting would be ideal, i'd take any type of run dedicated servers to ensure getting into a game vs their current matchmaking.

Matches are pretty easy if you like TDM and sometimes CTF. If you edit the config file to set your max ping to say 150-200 instead of 800+ you'll only rarely see the whole server king. Problem is IF you do this you'll elimite most other game types and find it really really hard to find a maxed out game. They're afraid to show you how many lobbys/games are going on each game type which is NOT a good sign.

There was just no reason to rush this. They of course decided it had to be out in time for Xmas but it clearly wasn't worth it. Gamers buy games year round; look at how badly this is hurting their reputation. Was it worth it Ubisoft?

I'm 99% sure the reason they rushed it was because of the ps4 bundles. Using a high profile game to sell systems before/during the thanksgiving holiday is a long honored tradition. Hell at the place I work we were selling them a few days before the games release. I kinda stared at it the first time when I was thinking "This game isn't even out yet". Either way ps4 needed something other then destiny bundles for kids to ask for to combat the halo master chief editions and MW:AW editions.

Confirmed, single player is a giant pile of crap...couldnt stand more then 30 minutes before i quit....Why do all the cods look like they are games from 1995....its such a scripted game its as if they don't care anymore.

When was Call of Duty ever the hallmark of unscripted gameplay?

I'm actually liking the scripted storyline for this time. It's predictable... but the characters are acted good and the storyline isn't 100% crap like some years in the past. Now if they'ed fix the video and audio desync in the loading cutscenes i'd be happier.(That's the only bug i've seen so far.) Well the SP fov locked at 65 would be bug number 2, but I think that's on purpose. SP feels like your stuck in a can sometimes.

I REALLY don't get this. I mean WHY have you not released all the info about your new game (excluding sp spoilers) by now? I mean withholding game modes, and not answering simple questions like dedicated servers and such? This makes me glad I have not been trying to find news about this game, but still in this day and age why would you hold out basic info about your game with less then a week till release?!?

Oh yea it's been leaked for xbox already, so really no reason to hold back info now.

How do we return to a game we were never offered or this is the first time playing it because you wouldn't release the CURRENT GEN of PC at launch. Either way, still have months to wait. *sigh*

That actually ever happens with the COD franchise?!

Yea the most you get is 30% off the PC version until the next one comes out and even then yea(even then the console version is 50% off). Oh and they'll never discount the DLC pack that's 60$ and basically required to play online.

A founder spurned is a founder burned.

Seems like it should be pretty easy to give the founders something extra for signing on so early.

Not getting into this deeply (been playing for months now as alpha) but well a lot of people are mad. They can't even give out the founders packs that people paid for... how do you expect them to give out extras? Some founders got 6 chests liked promised, some got none, some got dozens. Each chest had random item and 1-50 gold each. All mine had the lower amount, but I have guild members that got upwards of 200-300+ gold before they hit quest one in the game. Econ got screwed and will take a bit to recover.
