Yea with a game around 15 dollars, I'd rather see something like a buy 1 get 1 free or even B2G1 free. 10% off always left a bad taste in my mouth with the COD pricing. Then again this looks like more game then 5 cod maps. |

That floating feeling is because your walking on springs, or gel, or a combo of both. I didn't even notice it other then a few seconds to realize how the character ran. Like every game when you start playing there's always 1-2 mins of getting used to how the physics are tuned.
Yea people down scoring things for little things like shipping and pre marketing camp's really is starting to annoy me.
PS: A Mac is a PC. Consoles are kinda PC's too... |

| I didn't notice the auto save message once through my entire 6 hour playthrough. Maybe I was too busy looking at the pretty levels. Also when I did die, and I got restored 1/2 through a puzzle, but when I hit that point there was no lag or noticable auto save effect (every other game i've ever played with this lags or has a frame rate hitch when this happens) That's how you know it's not a port. |

Dev: By twist I was refering to all timezones. There's always a way to rationalize when it's coming out. As for the breaking the street date, tell that to the people that have been playing it on 360 for the last 2 days+. I get more annoyed that they change the release "time" for games ever damn launch. Pick one way and stay with it damn it!
For me an early release is anytime before the announced time. If it's a min or a week, does not change it. But yea, if this had made it possible to get it a day or two early that would have made a lot of people bitch less.
Well 4 hours left on timers, and 2 games really close to finishing. Here's hoping I can play it before bed. |

Which is STILL after midnight on east coast as I predicted DAYS ago. So no breaking of retail dates has happened yet. Honestly I have to believe nobody cares about retail dates that much anymore. They're ALWAYS broken in one way or another. You can't really make a prediction for something that's already been announced and think that it's right. With the way time zones work you can twist announcement dates one way or another.
If... IF all the games hit max right now the game would be release 11pm east coast. And you know what, nobody would care except they got the game EARLIER then first announced. |

DarkCntry wrote on Apr 18, 2011, 20:26: it still doesn't make this a scam in any sense of the word. For the 6th time in this thread. The scam was the illusion of any of this marketing event having any effect at all on the release time. Its always been planned to be shortly after midnight on Tuesday so the retailers don't get upset. The release time was 4/19 10am West coast. They never said anything about a midnight release. It's been bumped back to 11pm 4/18 so far and might come sooner. How is that an illusion? |

| Time zones don't matter for count downs. Right now it's 5pm West coast, There's 6 hours left on the countdown. It's been taking 1 hour off for each of the last 3 games. 4 games left means fastest we'll have it is in 2 hours. If not somewhere between here and there. Here's hoping it just auto unlocks when all the games are done. |

| That's better then having games unlock at 10am or noon. Some of us work late and well by the time it unlocks(since it's not midnight) gotta wait an extra day or two just to play. |

| Wow this is doom 3 engine? Didn't even realize that, i'm both excited and worried about the whole free running part of it. I'd like to have more freedom in the movements and choosing then to do them, but at the same time the auto system if done right can be really fun. |
