I guess I should finally install the expansion.

This is what I was thinking, was holding off for this announcement and fixing servers.

Doesn't dedicated servers also usually means mod tools?
So people can play modded games on their private servers vs official?
I mean if there are mod tools that means $0 in DLC sales.
Horse armor and what not.

You can have dedicated servers without mod tools. If i'm remembering right the BF games are still on dedicated, you just have to rent them from "trusted" hosts vs hosting them yourself. While self hosting would be ideal, i'd take any type of run dedicated servers to ensure getting into a game vs their current matchmaking.

Matches are pretty easy if you like TDM and sometimes CTF. If you edit the config file to set your max ping to say 150-200 instead of 800+ you'll only rarely see the whole server king. Problem is IF you do this you'll elimite most other game types and find it really really hard to find a maxed out game. They're afraid to show you how many lobbys/games are going on each game type which is NOT a good sign.

There was just no reason to rush this. They of course decided it had to be out in time for Xmas but it clearly wasn't worth it. Gamers buy games year round; look at how badly this is hurting their reputation. Was it worth it Ubisoft?

I'm 99% sure the reason they rushed it was because of the ps4 bundles. Using a high profile game to sell systems before/during the thanksgiving holiday is a long honored tradition. Hell at the place I work we were selling them a few days before the games release. I kinda stared at it the first time when I was thinking "This game isn't even out yet". Either way ps4 needed something other then destiny bundles for kids to ask for to combat the halo master chief editions and MW:AW editions.

Confirmed, single player is a giant pile of crap...couldnt stand more then 30 minutes before i quit....Why do all the cods look like they are games from 1995....its such a scripted game its as if they don't care anymore.

When was Call of Duty ever the hallmark of unscripted gameplay?

I'm actually liking the scripted storyline for this time. It's predictable... but the characters are acted good and the storyline isn't 100% crap like some years in the past. Now if they'ed fix the video and audio desync in the loading cutscenes i'd be happier.(That's the only bug i've seen so far.) Well the SP fov locked at 65 would be bug number 2, but I think that's on purpose. SP feels like your stuck in a can sometimes.

I REALLY don't get this. I mean WHY have you not released all the info about your new game (excluding sp spoilers) by now? I mean withholding game modes, and not answering simple questions like dedicated servers and such? This makes me glad I have not been trying to find news about this game, but still in this day and age why would you hold out basic info about your game with less then a week till release?!?

Oh yea it's been leaked for xbox already, so really no reason to hold back info now.

How do we return to a game we were never offered or this is the first time playing it because you wouldn't release the CURRENT GEN of PC at launch. Either way, still have months to wait. *sigh*

That actually ever happens with the COD franchise?!

Yea the most you get is 30% off the PC version until the next one comes out and even then yea(even then the console version is 50% off). Oh and they'll never discount the DLC pack that's 60$ and basically required to play online.

A founder spurned is a founder burned.

Seems like it should be pretty easy to give the founders something extra for signing on so early.

Not getting into this deeply (been playing for months now as alpha) but well a lot of people are mad. They can't even give out the founders packs that people paid for... how do you expect them to give out extras? Some founders got 6 chests liked promised, some got none, some got dozens. Each chest had random item and 1-50 gold each. All mine had the lower amount, but I have guild members that got upwards of 200-300+ gold before they hit quest one in the game. Econ got screwed and will take a bit to recover.

The steam forums are filled with people reporting that the game does not load or if it does load it's full of random crashes. For me, as soon as I run it, I get a black screen and then it hangs.

The "Official" 'Please post your issues here' thread on steam is over 1,200 posts and it's only been a day. Found here

For once i'm glad I didn't preorder. Had a feeling something like this was going to happen. Sad that all the good ports they did the last few years are basically getting wiped out by this one bad one. Oh yea this also is the first Xbone port if I remember right... so this is going to sour people on every port for the system for most of it's life now.

Illegal farms is a term players have come up with, but not really illegal in game because planting anywhere is encouraged and has no draw back besides other players being able to steal your plants. Also with the long growth time on trees it's really hard to get anything useful grown.

The games great and addictive even with all the anti player nerfs that have hit it the last few patches. It's not perfect, but if you enjoy crafting and pvp you'll have a good amount of stuff to do. Also don't get too hurt by the P2W aspects of the cash shop. The main problem viewed by most of the guild i'm playing with is that Trion is just a publisher and has no real say/power into what goes into the game. XL games (Korean dev) makes all the patches/balances/everything in the game. Doesn't affect me but... just getting a inverted mouse setting has been like pulling nails with them for an example.

"Standalone expansion?" It better be $19.99, tops.

Even if it was more you get saints row on steam sales all the time. Also the value for all the SR4 content was more then enough. Better then being charged $60 for 10-20 maps that people don't play.

*sigh* decided to fire this up for the first time in months and all I see is nerfs to the fun things that came around. Either way I start playing and after a few hours I realize that what I REALLY miss is the trading and AH from pre ROS. Not having 500+ hours to put into self finding everything on one character... let alone trying to gear each 6 classes sucks with no trading.

Haven't really played since they locked down legendaries. I played for a while, just don't feel like playing anymore.

I'm the same way. Want to play, but with so many other games can't justify spending that much time in a game I can't trade/get the items I want with any type of reasonable rate/certainty. I'd prob play on double xp weekends to help my para or finish off those leveling second of each class achivements though.

Now the main problem at Levi's stadium is that it's a LOT hotter. Even on the cool day they played at last weekend 1 person died from a Heart attack, and there was over 75 reported cases of heat exhaustion/stroke. Either way, the new place is amazing.

This can go SO many ways. I mean will it be MMO world ALA dayz, will it be like payday with missions popping up on the world map and different survivor objs, will they come out with a totally realistic single player that lets you also co-op to defend locations/build your own? Only thing that's this helps us with is knowing that the trailer does NOTHING to tell us about the game. Oh maybe it will be set as the outbreak of the virus and we'll be working in commando/specop squads trying to contain it.

While I like them taking time, I was kinda wondering when another Heroes game was going to get spit out. I still remember dumping hours and hours into 3 and can't even remember a single plot point of 4,5,6.

What's funny is that you can join the shadow council... and have a direct say in the dev of the game that comes out in a few months. Maybe they're just talking about all the DLC they're going to pound into it.
