News Comments > Massive's Assassin's Creed Game

massive rules but the studio was probably destroyed by acquisition. they haven't done anything for years.

wic was a wonderful success and could have been a new tom clancy franchise, but it has since been squandered.

"Well Guild Wars 2 isn't really competing with Diablo 3. It's a full fledged MMO. If anything, WoW is its closest competition."

that is the stupidest thing I've ever read

unless you want every pc game to be starcraft or an mmorpg, blizzard's success does not prove your point

How about dozens of indies, Minecraft being one doing $150K per day, often more?

he had two points and I dont think minecraft's existence helps either. sorry.

big companies exist to make big profit, and all else being equal, console games make the biggest profit. the end

old school gamers don't like to hear it, but old school games are too long for regular people

cod4 blew the doors off modern gaming for a couple reasons, and one was the dense, excellent, SHORT single player. people realized $50 for 10 hours could be worth it.

they are saying its a mistake because they are idiots. there is no downside to this. it will still sell on steam, it will still sell well, it will still be pirated. only now some people will also buy it from GOG.

idiots

Uh, I don't know what maps you play on but the ones I play are all either CTF or capture the point (which is about the same thing).

ctf isn't emphasized in TF2 because valve has matured over the last 10 years just like every other developer.

ctf is a VERY individual-oriented game type. it is what you, as a creative person, design when you are thinking "this would be fun for me." but not everyone else. it is very 1990s. nowadays games are designed so no child is left behind.

modern multiplayer game designs let more people have more fun than older game designs. today everyone can feel like a quarterback.

It was around lvl 30 that I lost interest in the game.

Like Fallout 3, Morrowind and Oblivion... I always get to this part where I start thinking: "What the fuck am I doing, really..? What a waste of time." A weird sensation that I only get with these games.

So, after realizing the one faction I was with was bugged (BoS) and also knowing I've basically seen it all by now.. I finished the main quest and was done with it.

I suggest not siding with Yes-Man btw. Near the end you're being train-railed to the finish line and you have to make some ridiculously pathetic choices due to lack of better. In fact.. I can't even call them choices.

yeah thats called not knowing what is good for you. there is more content than you need, but you played it anyway and got burnt out.

lesson for next time. just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

the only reason to buy this is because it was cheap. because all the previous owners found no success. the last group were those game website guys who were making a tribes web browser game. great success.
