Don't Starve is good but... when you die you lose everything and that's very discouraging. I don't think they should change that, but perhaps up the survivability a little. I spent a lot of time exploring the game w/o reading anything online so I died when night came... and I died when sanity got too low and my hallucinations were attacking me... and I died when the hounds first came because that was very unexpected... and I died by freezing once because I thought I had a little more time to reach my campfire at base.

Now that I know most of what will kill me, it's stupid mistakes that end up getting me. For example, I was collecting manure and accidentally clicking a beefalo instead of the manure pile and the entire herd massacred me in 1/2 a nanosecond.

Still, the game is very neat and well done. I've also not touched Adventure mode, yet.

Holy shit... "Christ Centered Gamer". Really? I scanned the article just to see what the hell some religious nut would say about Blood Dragon and it's about what you'd expect:

"The morality issues keep me from recommending this game to others."

I would love to read their review of Quake 1.

Also, the reviewer is "Blue" -- is that this site's owner?

TF2 still sucks, though. It's too balanced, that it's actually handicapped.

Also filled with the current generation of kiddy teens, and servers with emo all-talk enabled, it's just garbage.

Don't waste your time with this one.

Fun, fast-paced, cartoony games... played by KIDS? Yea, don't bother with this trash. Go play one of those other cartoony games that only adults frequent.

Idiot...

I don't get it... Is this some kind of permanent boost, or more like a "bonus XP weekend" thing that only lasts while you play during this time.

"Players who log in to defend Sanctuary between May 15 and May 21"

I don't get it...

Ubi/Blue Byte's own Settlers Online is better (much better) than Anno, at least at this stage in Anno's development. The only thing I like more about Anno than Settlers is the slightly superior updated engine being used. If they could port that over to Settlers it would be a win/win for Blue Byte.

Thx for the tip on Settlers Online.

Coincidentally, I just tried out Path of Exile again today and have to say it has much improved since my attempt during BETA. Let's see if it it any good after playing it at length.

And taxing violet video games will accomplish what exactly? *crickets chirping*

So violet video games are "okay" with Joe Biden as long as he gets a cut of the money. Do I have the correct interpretation on this matter?

No, you don't. I'm not sure how, either, because it is simple to understand.

Biden is saying that if there is a sufficient amount of scientific evidence to support the claim of the group that is requesting the tax then it would be taken under consideration. Plus, such a tax is not unlawful.

Here's the exploit: The company continues to convince people to pay for the series in spite of it being fairly boring to many.

badda-boom!

Yep. For kiddies like yourself with an attention span shorter than your penis who need non-stop "badda-boom!" ... "badda-boom!" action, the TES games may in fact be a bit boring.
For us adults it's a slightly different story. Maybe you'll understand in a decade or so when you're in your teens.

Now fuck off and go play some CoD, CS, Angry Birds or a Lego game, kthxbye!

Quite the adult... quite the adult.

The only impressive thing I've seen here was the dude's coat flapping around and we've seen that before on Mafia 2 :/ Where is the REAL tech at???

I'm with you. All of this gameplay nonsense makes me yawn. Someone wake me when we can see a coat flapping on screen at the same time we can see his pant leg flapping.

This game was very entertaining for a few run throughs but once you acquire certain items it becomes very easy and repetitive. An MMO based on Borderlands would be great.

It is at 1.6MM of 2.0MM with 3 days to go. My guess is it will not naturally get funded. If it happens then it will likely be due to some hefty bumps at the very end by friends of Jacobs.

I wouldn't mind funding an MMO. For any decent MMO, you pay for the initial game anyway so what's the difference?

My problem with CU is it is just not interesting to me. I wouldn't mind a PVP-only game but this just looks like a rehash of DAoC (minus the PvE aspect). DAoC was pretty great back when it was first released, but that was 12 years ago. Also, maybe Mark Jacobs should have let someone else make the KS video on his behalf - he just doesn't seem like a likable guy to me.

Its biggest failure was the lack of a random map generator and/or editor. We'd all still be playing it if had that. Huge mistake not to do that. Huge.

Screw editor. It needed to be random. Enemy placement needed to be random and roving rather than 3 guys in the same places, sitting there until discovered, and occasionally teleporting in front of you. And it needed to stop showing that damn in-engine cinematic every single time you come across 3 new enemies. Every time. Every damn time!

I agree on the randomness and the cinematics...

I purchased it and sort of regret it. I played it from start to finish but would say it is certainly not worth full price.

I rarely do pay full price for a game but I didn't have anything to play when this was released so I nabbed it. Oh well.
