Maybe it's time to move on to rock climbing or something. The sad part is that you're 100% right.... I really miss the times when games were about gaming and not just making money. Now it's Indy games or.. rock climbing |

I would like to see a Total War game set in the Terminator post apocalypse world. Now THAT would be kick cunt ass. yeah that would be great..we can dream
or even a "company of heroes: terminator" You never know
I was always dreaming about TW fantasy kind of game and King Arthur actually happened. Not exactly the same but close enough from strategy point of view and absolutely great from RPG elements/story point of view.
"company of heroes: terminator" that would be awesome |

Elf Shot The Food wrote on May 12, 2011, 14:13: Just as long as the Creative Assembly people who worked on Stormrise and Viking: Battle for Asgard are kept away, this might turn out all right. Believe it or not but I found Viking: Battle for Asgard quite a good game and finished it as well. Must admit I've been surprised myself!
I think it was one of those moments when you want just something "different". I must admit largish scale battles were cool
As for this Alien strategy game I hoped it will be some kind of TW clone in the future (bit like King Arthur is based on fantasy) but if it's for consoles that's not very likely to be the case. |

BTW. Not sure if it's for all regions but along with pre-order I've been given a free game as well. You can choose from: Beyond Divinity Divine Divinity Gothic 2: Gold Edition, Realms of Arkania 1 + 2 Realms of Arkania 3
I finished Divine Divinity long ago and loved it so opted for Beyond Divinity. Great free gift I can used when traveling and want to play a bit on my laptop |

This one looks great but the medieval time frame just never managed to hold my attention long enough in previous games. If you like mature/dark fantasy than don't hesitate a second.
There was first review published in a polish magazine (CD Action) and it got 9+/10. Apparently it's much better than the first one, which already was one of the best RPGs in the last few years.
Already pre-ordered via GOG and downloaded all I could Another week to go... |

Hi everyone
There is new info available on the official web site. http://www.thewitcher.com/community/pl/news/75.html
It says pretty much that the game has been delayed for six weeks, which is not that bad. More interestingly it does say why is it so - apparently during the tests they found it takes them longer then they predicted before. You will need 50 hours to complete the main quest and 90 hours of hunting with The Witcher to fully explore the game
Additionaly chief designer Michal Madej said they are aware now it's popular for games to be shorter. They wanted to allow you to fall into the world of Witcher for weeks and discover amazing plot, which is the most important part of the game. That more time is needed to explore the plot with all it's twists and suprises filled with details about the world and it's characters.
It works for me, six weeks is no bad. 90h sounds v.good
