Back on topic, this is no different to Valve forcing Steam down every ones throats with HL2. They just happened to do it first.
I remember getting into the CS 1.6 beta and wanting to stab myself with the issues. Some of which are still around for Steam.
Valve is just a publisher now to me, if you don't agree go talk to some indies who now look at steam as a place they wish they could get their game but will never even be told why their game doesn't get on, yet another does with worse quality.
Submit game for release on steam or flip a coin. Better luck with the coin, at least you understand it. |

What he means to say "The emergence of online constant DRM business models has brought back the opportunity to produce something dedicated to PC fans suckers, rather than just badly ported multiplatform content"
They'll keep the badly ported part aswell no doubt.
*sigh* It's all about control. |

Try the darkblizz.org website, it's all about the crack, custom AI by modders etc...
Some of their AI is hell insane.
FYI I was giving a legit copy of the game for my b'day and I cry for lan when my friend and I want to practice. Thanks blizzard... encouraging people to sit at home and not be social. |

Yeah let's stop these damn evil game players when they are old!
When will some crazy new media come out so that games get mostly left alone like movies and music.... Maybe it's time to go full circle!
STOP READING BOOKS! We can't let our youth, our middle aged or even old people read these disgusting pieces of information. They only need a stick and a can in the alley to play, no more of this intelligence nonsense from books. Bah! Back in the stone ages there were no books and we were better off.
Down with Books! |

I've seen this comment a bit, but it's not accurate. If you consider that the Plex is only generated from actual money in the first place, somebody has to actually buy the game time which becomes plex, then somebody is always paying.
If 5000 accounts were cancelled then 5000 payments per month of game time or plex is being stopped.
The CCP guys are smart for that fact, get others to pay the hardcore guys gametime so the hardcore can farm for the others. |

I've been lucky so far, but I already changed all my passwords. Finally forced me to get more than 5 different ones.
So now I have a notebook with a list of passwords I won't remember because they are long and full of crap.

Just to note Creston, Blizzard isn't independent and hasn't been since the first few years of it's creation as Silicon & Synapse.
They have lots of creative control and always have, but they get their money from parent companies. Currently, Activision which Vivendi is a majority owner whom are the ones who wanted the name Blizzard kept and wanted it in front for their new title.
It's a twisted web indeed.
All that being said, Valve is independent to the point they are also their own publisher for digital, but appear they still use the old guard for box copies.
Ontopic, eh, sell your product for it's value, you decide what that is dependent on the sales. People crying about it is annoying but meh, they aren't important customers imo and just ignore them. |

I personally enjoy that you're doing it.
I have no interest is yet another Dota style game so I haven't bothered, but in future I will be keeping an eye out for other games. |

This did not excite me =(
This 3 split games thing reminds me of valves failed attempt at episodes. Watched my brother play through his copy in SP to see the story... the game isn't really that long and does the whole multiple paths which includes... like 5 maps.
A game like Diablo 2 was longer, and at least they called the next one what it was.... an expansion. Wait... whatever happened to actually having expansions and calling them as such... |

We don't have a lot in common with NZ really... so not surprised we don't adopt their standards. You crazy buggers are allowed to import so many nice Jap cars we can't because of silly fat pollies =(
Though the double speak with the morality stuff is hilarious but I guess at least we are going to get a 18+ rating now. |

We generally say ass over tit. Haha, all the same over here in Australia. Though I have noticed in a few shows they think we say "up ya bum", which honest to god, I have never heard before until I saw an "Australian" saying it on a American TV show.
Also, ass up generally suggests face planting, while tits up means you fell on your ass =D Unless, you're American and it's your... Fanny? |

Personally SG:U never caught me. It started okay, but once the alliance came onto the ship it went ass up imo. There was too much about the infighting, the fights with the alliance the awful love interest crap. Rather than exploring the new places etc... which is what I loved about SG:SG1.
Not a lot in the way of good Sci-fi atm on TV. Sanctuary is okay, though Doctor Who is either awesome, or bad (depending on episode).
Though I am impressed with the quality Fantasy/Empire TV coming out, lots of good Rome/Greek/Old English and even the Italian empire style stories going on (Game of Thrones, The Borgias, Camelot, Rome series, the Spartan series etc...).
Hopefully their so far secret plans for the Stargate series and possibly the reboot of Star Trek come into effect and make some good TV. Then again, a new well thought out series would be good too. I want to see the Human Empires in space duking it out for control of planets and resources... Yum! |

Do you have anything to backup that with? I'm rather interested in the whole episode. Reminds me of something out of a sci-fi flick, they go in and steal the servers just after a natural disaster/nuclear issue and run with the goods.
Now that's some intelligent and crazy hackers if so. Very opportunistic too. |

I tend to buy direct from the US to avoid all of this, most games just need a cd key for steam.
Been happening for years, consider that the Au dollar is at 1.01 (it's more than atm) and that for a xbox 360 game brand new is $100-120 and that in the US they complain about $60us. Give me the US price any day, it's far cheaper.
Plus I get to skip on GST (10% tax) on purchase, and even with postage it's cheaper by far, even better with sales.
Greedy publishers or distributors are the issue, and they won't get the extra from me. I often skip on games altogether, although I wish I could enjoy them, but at $100 a pop (or $50 when on sale) it's just not worth it. |

Err how is a 30 minute movie even close to a 15 hour game. 15 hours is pretty impressive as it is a lot longer then the usual 5-6 hour fps games currently being released.
I sure as hell don't want all my games being Final Fantasy style with 60+ hours, where it doesn't get interesting until after the 10-20 hour mark.
I'd prefer a good 1-1.5 hour movie over a 3 hour movie that bores me to death. 30 minutes... really, that's just silly. |
