Sorry, angry internet man!

BAHAHHAHAHAHA.... *gasps for air* bahahahahahahahah!

Ohh I usually just lurk through these events (posts that go beyond around 30 replies). But Wowers, that is classic.

Next time somebody goes off their nut and starts getting a little grumpy I'm gonna remember that line now. =)

Disorderly Queue is right on the money, I was sitting there the other day thinking just that for servers...

Of course it would have to be designed and impletmented. The whole "world" factor of each server would lose something I guess, but at the advantage of being able to join a less populated server for get your raid/instance done without hassles. No doubt you'd end up with more popular PVP servers and PVE ones, but really I don't see this as a negative as you get the choice. Plus it would allow all players to see how much scale the "massive multiplayer" aspect comes in when at times you'd never see the same people twice.

One can hope =)

"In addition to the pre-order system, IGN/FilePlanet also has exclusive rights to distribute BETA keys between now and launch. So if you want to get into BETA head over to FilePlanet. It's very important for us to get quality testers that have a vested interest in the game, and we felt the pre-order system and teaming with FilePlanet was the best way to accomplish this goal."

And I am Jesus, son of Mary, the devine son of god given to this earth to spin the PR like no man has before.

Without going out too crazy here, but the screenshots look crazily similar to that of wow. I realise there is a limited scope to what you can do with a MMORPG but at least you could try with the interface....

Wow! That Yamaha cloth speaker is awesome... just watching that video makes me feel like I'm in a sci-fi movie.

I could see how it could apply to so many things in life, from a train station patron hitting a few buttons on the pad and the map answering their questions without annoying others.

The fact it doesn't affect surrounding sounds is amazing.

Atually Creston you'll find at the upper tier there are a lot of people who'll pay a monthly fee to access a high speed FTP download size for 0 day warez or whatever they wish to call it.

This is where you have to be invited or know somebody etc... I have a friend who has access (yes a friend) and he has offered me a few times (I think they get benifits when they get others to join).

There will always be a way, how popular it is just depends on how easy it is to access.

As much as I dislike my own country and our issues (Australia banning L4D and censoring parts of the net).

I gotta say it sure beats the mess they seem to have going on over there. 400 copies really isn't much, but look at the effect. Sure I have downloaded an episode or 2 of my favourite tv show I missed on tv... but damn! And to change the logo.

I can see it now "Hey look guys at uni, I made this awesome tv show. You know I'm good for it, it has my logo!". What's worse is the documentry shows their president in a good light (positive for them) and they still ripped them short.

And the little boy adventures... well by god, that man wouldn't last 10 minutes over here, would have been a big ass scandle the day the book was released and he would have had to resign. Recently the the Queensland Police Union president had to resign due to having relations with a 18 year old girl who was renting at his house (he is divorced and was when this occured). Even though this is completely legal, it doesn't bode well for the images of the people in power so he got the ass.

Wow France... I'm not against your people (considered moving there) but honestly, this is just getting beyond a joke.

I think these Australians are a bunch of psychopathic social conservatives who probably make their kids watch Bibleman rather than conventional super-heroes/anime etc.

Hey man Bibleman totally pwns! He's like the master among heros! (This is the part where I ask... who the hell is bibleman, and then goto google for info).

As Talisorn said, it's a single hold out atm... which isn't making him friends especially since Australia wants to see itself as a mining materials and "services" country. Services being things like research and technology.

Ugh... maybe the Chinese read their papers from their government sponsored media companies and watch in wonder how we are allowed to even complain that we disagree when they can't even get undead characters in WoW looking undead without the government poking their noses in it.

Kind of find it amusing how he doesn't correct people when they think he made dota. All he has done is balance and updated.

It was a map for WC3 first by Eul, when Frozen Throne came out it was opened up for anybody to updated. Then another guy (forget his name) took over making the Allstars version the most popular. Wasn't until version 6.xx that Icefrog took over.

Hardly the creator imo. I'm assuming they hired him for his other skills rather than dota.

Then again, I'm not a fan of Dota as such, and after giving HoN 100 games, and still not liking it I can see it's not for me.

As they said, biggest issue is the community, I am no longer a newbie but make mistakes and the amount of abuse hurled at you when you get killed is insanity. I'd rather play with CS hackers then the chumps that play these games =\

Yeah Bobbob, you can go from vanilla straight to lich king. I admit it's rather a smooth process (generally only takes a few hours to go from trial account to full access).

Just take your time and enjoy yourself though. Everybody appears to be all rush rush now a days in the game. =)

Pyloff well... $49.95 a month. Could upgrade to 150gig a month for 69.95 a month but it's all a on peak/off peak system. Off peak is 4am to 9am each day, and the rest is on peak. so 110gig for 5 hours a day, otherwise 40gig for them.

I am changing to that, but it will mean I will have to setup my downloads for off peak times but yay... everybody has their own download software now and most don't have a system for scheduling so I have to use windows, which has it's limits =\

Cheers for the tip, I'll look into JA.

Ruff, I noted the "trial only server" which would only need to include the start area instancing. Also they can put in IP limits or similar for accounts, and make the accounts able to be deleted after the time peroid. Then again, a trial period would do.

I just miss demos =) MMOs don't seem to lend themselves too kindly to them, especially when the box price is the same as a Multiplayer game without a time limit.

Even a 1-2 hour trial on a trial only server would do. Too bad they rely on the same mechanic as a lot of "hyped" games in hopes the hype sells rather than the gameplay =(

One does get tired of the "demos take time to program excuse". Though I guess as long as they have easy street with hype alone why bother trying to please the rest of us. I don't want to drop $100 AUD on a 30 day test of a game I don't think I'll continue. (I work full time and do uni full time so time is limited)

I realise I can get it online cheaper, but at 10gig download (1/4 of my monthly quota, yay aust isps) it's a bit nasty.

I'll have to drop around my mates place and poke my nose, but I get the feeling it will be "ohh shiny" and get dull. Back to finding old games I missed due to being young and without the income to afford them in the past.

Any suggestions on RPGs? I've gone through Planescape (yummy), Diablos, Fallouts etc... Already. Looking for the more obsecure stuff. I'm currently playing Ys: The oath of Felhana (with english translation). Short game but a blast for fun, wish it had co-op to play with my brothers!

I was actually half excited about the game when I read that head line, then I saw the server is still in NA. Waste of time.

Ohh ahh when in game the time is my local time... how exciting =\ The clock on my wall would be jealous.

Was considering pre-ordering (I know, I'm a mad man) but it just seems to much like any other mmo from what I see and hear. My friend has it and I'll most likely drop around his when it goes live to have a look.

Back to obscure games from overseas that haven't been released in english!

What is really disappointing is that no doubt Steam will block sales to Australia also (they do it with many games and sales already).

I don't pay retail for my games here in Australia at $100-120 at EB games per game and the exchange rate at $86US to the dollar it should be much lower.

Finish uni and I'm out of here, so far behind here in technology =(

Does anybody here play this? I'm rather interested in giving it a go but I have found the free to play games become dull quickly and to advance you tend to have to dump a fair bit of money into them.

The gender debate has begun! I love the response, very well thought out and direct points to counter her arguments.

Impressive indeed. I'm just glad somebody decided to take the time to stomp her (my opinion obviously). Humans are made of 2 genders, deal with it, we are biologically different and that's it.

Oh so fun =)

China is the next Silicon Valley, proclaims Symbian Foundation director.

I do love when they make outrageous statements about being the next coming of jesus, or rather the next place to create high levels of innovation.

Linux Foundation to Microsoft: stop secretly attacking Linux.

Paranoid much? Jeez, they think MS has their photos on the wall FBI top 10 most wanted style or something. Obviously MS saw no point in keeping the patents especially considering they themselves could have the "patent trolls" use them to sue them also.

All seems rather... "The world is ending!".

On another note, the Robotech/Macross games that have been released tend to be very sub-par aswell.

At least mechwarrior lived upto the name, remember getting the poverty MS Sidewinder without FF and playing MW2... played it so much I broke the joystick =\

They are also the reason we don't get a English release of Macross Frontier... fuckers!

Sigh... I love big robot stuff, all of it, but damn they know how to turn it into a pissing contest of who has the best legal BS.

Sometimes they need to open their eyes and go "Hey if we let them add them in for free and plug our product (Robotech/Macross/whatever else) we get free marketing!". Which works on me... but instead they go the other way =(
