| When checking the NHL gamecenter article and following it up with a look at the NHL's page, it seems that regular subscription fees still apply, and that the 360 is the only platform that requires XBL fees in addition to them. |

I've kept my subscription active for operations (raiding) since I'm part of a nice team. 1.4 included a new operation and our first sample of it was fun. Previous operations weren't terrible, just a bit stale after a few months of running them, even getting a near-full alt team to complete them. This is a good content pack if that's also your taste. This update did not include the space missions, warzones or planet Makeb which were outlined as additional content we could expect over the course of this year. |

| This might just leave everyone underwhelmed by being the beta->release announcement for Wrath of Heroes, based on Warhammer (assuming they dare to consider that a classic). |

And yes, I feel like a complete chump because this is one of, if not THE worst run mmo's i can remember.
Have you played Matrix online/ Aion/ Age of conan/ Warhammer online/ Star Trek online/...?
Combat logs are in the game since patch 1.2. They repeatedly said that they wanted that information to be available for personal evaluation, but not to judge others with. This reddit thread delivered an early summary of a few of the available parsers, more recently, dpsmeter.com has become available and seems promising. Haven't tried it myself though, I heal; my feedback is people surviving.
I don't understand your enrage timer comment, please explain; bosses do enrage, do you want an in-game timer/countdown?
After wiping, players can use transportation to checkpoints. These could certainly be spaced out more generously, but some of them are available, with varying quality of implementation; I prefer the Karagga's Palace version, lack of realism be damned.
The ready check issue is perplexing. At the guild summit someone pointed that lack out and they seemed surprised to have to confirm that they did in fact not have one. A few months later, it's still not in. |

Lorcin wrote on Jun 26, 2012, 17:43: ouch after 80 minutes nobody cares enough to post anything positive or negative. Significantly later I'd like to confirm that the group finder works well enough for people who didn't insist to be the last player on their server. Lots of players whining on the fleet that it never created a group for them, but since it doesn't magically conjure tanks and healers out of thin air, that's just a result of the class distribution. Works for me since I play both of those and got groups within minutes. |

D_K_night wrote on Jun 13, 2012, 05:00: Regarding group finder, it will be interesting to see how the playerbase reacts. Because when you visit the SWTOR forums, there are so many of them who in fact don't want it, because it's a "wow" feature, and that would pollute their beloved game.
From my brief impression of the SWTOR group finder compared to the WOW version: It's single realm, so combined with the higher post-transfer populations, it should allow players to run levelling flashpoints much more conveniently than before and might also work well for level 50 content. Single realm means that people will probably want to be more mindful of their reputation than the relatively anonymous giant pool of players in a WOW cross-realm group. Ignoring a player will prevent you from getting matched with that player.
It seems promising to me, and I'm looking forward to using parts of it for my alts. I'm not as optimistic about finding a group for the most difficult content via this system (which in this case would be Lost Island hard mode or Explosive Conflict story mode), but might still give it a shot. |

JohnBirshire wrote on Jun 13, 2012, 03:22: Allowing people to leave low population ones and go to higher population ones does not solve anything, it just makes the problem worse. Now you're left with even MORE low population servers than before. These are opt-in server mergers. Servers marked as transfer sources will never be selected as a destination server. The transfer option will not disappear overnight, so players on source servers can just move whenever they accept that reality. What this approach avoids is competing against inactive accounts for character and legacy names.
Regarding the group finder: it's currently available on the public test server. Still has a few bugs, but should probably make its way onto live servers along with the rest of patch 1.3 within the next few weeks. |

| This offer doesn't seem to be worldwide. The german store only mentions in-game items (3 weapons, 1 armor; the amazon preorder has 1 weapon, 1 armor) as a pre-order bonus. |

| NBA 2k12 is still unpatched on the PC, just like previous years. Unfortunately, this version seems to be less balanced than previous ones, even with the patch(es?). |

| Was still unsure whether to get it at release, and it's good to see a review that also emphasises the technical issues, especially after SR2. Probably something to pick up if it goes on steam sale at christmas though. |

| Intersting scheme, but the prices don't seem to have developed the way they described: When I purchased my first two copies before the weekend, they both were 4+€, haven't seen anything like it since and I was able to send another friend a copy for 2+€ yesterday. |

[...] For example, sometimes I'll post a comment in the morning, and I'll want to check the thread again later in the day, but there's no quick way to find which thread I posted in. The side bar provides some kind of access to that: (Customize)->user settings->view my profile.
Regarding community features, I'm not sure if the "Email me when this topic is updated."-feature is working. I believe I tried using it in a recent thread and did not receive a notification. Might have lost the mail in a filter, though.
I'd also like to mention that I appreciate the site as it is. However, if I could make one suggestion, it would be the addition of tags. That would probably make searching the archive easier in the future. If those were user-added like on amazon, it would hopefully not mean a huge amount of extra daily work for you. And as suggested in another post, a certain post count requirement could help prevent abuse- although I'd be far below the suggested value. |
