WTB the ability to toggle the 'Press Esc to exit fullscreen mode' message off. I am well aware of this by now, and would like to never see it again.

They would likely go the route guaranteed to be a Box office success (mass action, explosions every 10 seconds, CGI everything, and bad one liners), rather than risk failure by doing something more creative or unique.

Agreed. Keep Micheal Bay as far away from this as possible.

1. Joss Whedon In talks to direct Half-Life Film? Jun 6, 2010, 14:42 rist3903

While this sounds like ten pounds of bullsh*t, I would love to see a decent director tackle the game as a film. Especially if they made the protagonist not say a single word throughout the whole thing, but made sure people know he is not mute.

Or perhaps Gordon Freeman is actually mute, and everyone around him is far too polite to comment on it?

Has there ever been an arcade game that is turn based? Not being snide, just curious.

who thought it was a good idea to put QTEs (or minigames) into an RPG? Baffles the mind, it does.

I have had good experiences with one minigame in an old school RPG.

Wizardry VII had a pretty neat little system for unlocking doors and chests where there were a set of colors you had to click as they shifted to green. These tumbler representations were much much more memorable and fun than say, lockpicking is in Dragon Age where you level up a skill and either unlock something or not with one click.

I didn't buy GSB because until this post I have never heard of it. How much did you spend on advertising?

Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I too am ambivalent toward 3D.

I am ambivalent about it, rather.

Quite liking how solid-state drives are shaping up, though.

#13. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare: All Ghillied Up

I actually enjoyed this mission and map! We need more stealth FPS games! They're fun!

I agree, I actually like that one.

I also agree. That mission was the most enjoyable one of the game in my opinion.

Have you guys seen Moon? Another low key sci-fi movie that I thought held together well.

I remember changing the game way back on Goldeneye. There is a way to customize some of the settings in the game, and I would set enemy accuracy up to 100% and their damage up to 1000%. Made trying to get through levels extremely hard. This only worked on a couple levels in the game but when it did it made the game play shine.

News Comments > Dragon Age: Origins DLC Announced
10. Re: Dragon Age: Origins DLC Announced May 6, 2010, 07:27 rist3903

I never even got through one playthrough. I avoided any dlc because

a) I am rather frugal and
b) I heard that the items you get in them are too powerful and break the game.

I consider having a place to stash your goods so that you can have your party lean and mean when out and about to be an intrinsic part of any RPG, and thus was offended on a very deep level to learn that in order to get a stash I must give them extra money on top of the original purchase.

So I am out in the world of Dragon Age, encumbered with loot I did not want to have on my person but also did not want to lose and I started to seethe in resentment of the game.

Words cannot express how much this bothered me.

Is it a sign that the economy has recovered that they expect people to pay that much for these things?

Second was to prevent Sexual Assualt.

The trend of new technology costing more at release is colloquially referred to as the "early adopter tax".

This applies to games as well in my opinion.

Assassin's Creed is a stealth game because you can be 10 feet in front of an angry guard, sit on a bench and be perfectly fine.
