I own this game, but I have a hard time playing it. I have yet to see a monster, but I feel I am right on the verge of doing so; The hint for my current level goes something like: To run, hold down the shift key.

I bring this on myself though. I only play at night with headphones on and the lights off.

A typical session involves me playing it for 30 seconds to 2 minutes and turning it back off again.

10. Find me a quality item finder. Feb 10, 2011, 11:58 rist3903

I have been looking for an object locator product for precisely this type of scenario-for people I know who are terrible about knowing where anything not attached to them is. Unfortunately, none of the products currently at market seem very good. The reviews are ho-hum at best. A quality locator would be a goldmine considering the generational shift that is currently producing a lot of older Americans.

The framerate of the gameplay shown looked very low. What gives?

I still find the name Trainz questionable, but it isn't quite as bad as their slogan:

Trainz, bitches.

I don't know which is worse: Dofus or WAKFU but I guess you don't need a great sounding name to do well for yourself.

CoD:Blops is selling like hotcakes.

Does this mean that Riot is looking into MMO'ing League of Legends?

If so I have mixed feeling about this. I love League of Legends, but cannot stand the MMO format where people roam around a digitally created world knocking over dominoes that pop back up 5 minutes after they leave.

Actually, that metaphor sounds like it would be pretty sweet if taken literally. What I meant it to represent still leaves me cold though.

BS, I noticed no fewer than 200 servers populated last night, and pretty much every night.
There are lots of servers that have bots on them to fill out the roster.

In addition, all too frequently it says there are 20+ people playing on it and when you join you are the only one.

Quite a good answer in my opinion. Spot on.
I should amend that by saying that I agree with everything he says in his response that does not refer to personal experience.

This is in answer to the question:

The industry has changed a lot over your time in it. At what point do you feel it went from a fledgling, back-office-based start-up into a more mature industry? Or, indeed, do you think we’ve reached that point yet?
Not that you need to know the preceding question to get what he is driving at, but it does look a little strange taken out of context.

Quite a good answer in my opinion. Spot on.

I can't wait until I can control my PC by waving my arms about after being forced to stand up from behind my desk.

And that would be just to send email. To work in Excel you have to get ridiculous.

It has got to be nearly impossible to make co-op puzzles for this game that are challenging but not impossible to either conceptualize or execute by the people trying to solve them. I wish Valve luck.

I am surprised that Valve has not come out with new skins for Steam. I miss those from the old version.

I thought one game on the Nintendo 64 handled this particularly well:

Goldeneye.

There was no health regen, there wasn't even anything you could pick up to replenish your health. There was armor to be found, but that was it.

Parents are scared to let kids outside and there is great comfort in knowing that your kids are safe in their rooms rather than out on the streets amongst their pot smoking peers, pedophiles and child killers that apparently plague our streets. Like anything, gaming is good in moderation.

Pot smoking, pedophilia and child killing are good in moderation? You could convince me on smoking pot, but the other two would be a tough sell.
