...not a clone of an AOL "Annoying Parents with Babies" chat session.

Isn't there *anything* else on the Internet worth using as Media of the Day other than those goddamn retarded singing baby flash videos? Anything at all? Leaving it out entirely would be better than subjecting us to that garbage.

Get a f*cking clue already. That shit is not entertaining, or funny, or cutesy, or even worth puking on. If you just gotta show that crap to someone, get back on AOL and stay there.

8. Re: Exploding artichoke Feb 27, 2003, 14:15 Mead

However forensic tests on the remains of the artichoke showed no traces of explosives, leading police to believe it was a natural phenomenon.

Huh? Anyone care to take a stab at explaining this one?

I'd be more likely to pin that 'mystery' on a botched test, rather than any kind of naturally sparking and exploding artichoke.

It's a wonder she didn't also see the Virgin Mary in the remains =)

"a bunch of lawless schoolchildren running around beating on eachother"

Like Europe has been, lawyers included, for the past two or three thousand years?

Americans haven't got the lock on being bellicose. Or on being assholes.

But hey, do feel free to keep up the self-righteous hysterics. It's entertaining.

Combining the nastiest parts of Japanese fetish and 'furries'.

Yeesh.

Besides, I'm much too busy clubbing baby seals to death to play this particular game.

No, the people who don't like it, don't like it because they think it's crap or boring or whatever. The additional fact that it's popular is mystifying, but not necessarily the cause of the dislike.

In effect, what you're saying is "It's popular, so why don't you like it?". And that's as bogus as not liking it for its popularity.

"Did I really?

You clearly lost the battle of grammar quite awhile back...

Surely it should be

You clearly lost the battle of grammar earlier? or quite A WHILE back"

Either version (awhile/a while) is acceptable. Takes a bit of sting out of your so-called 'slam', but there it is.

Want to run with the big monkeys? Bring some brain cells to the fight next time.

And the fact that you've lapsed into quibbling about grammar and spelling issues proves that you've lost the original argument.

Begone. And take this pusball of a demo with you.

No doubt written by the same kind of person who doesn't think the difference between "to" and "too" matters. Or "your" and "you're". Or "their" and "they're" and "there". Or, apparently, "Mach" and "Mock".

The usual response to having that kind of error pointed out is "STFU!!1! Ppl will no what i mean". Indeed.

Typical willful ignorance. And unfortunately all too common these days.

No, now you're not illustrating a point anymore, you're just being an asshole.

Your trolling skills need a lot of work. You should take a lesson from fredrickson. He's much better at it than you are.

"lemme ask you this, would you be best friends with a flaming homo?"

Well, yeah. Knew several, actually. On the staff of Handmade Games, we ran live-action roleplaying at DragonCon for several years. Those guys were a hoot. And about as 'queer' as it gets. One year they roleplayed members of the 'Lavender Mafia'.

And none of them had hangups about their sexuality either. None of them gave a crap what you or I or anyone else thought of them. One of em even had a tshirt that said "That's 'Mr. Faggot' to you".

All it takes is to realise that what anyone else thinks of you is pretty much immaterial in the long run, and obsessing over it doesn't help. After that it's easy.

So what's your point? Do you have one? Or are you just going to sit there and be dense?

"Only"? That's the absolute limit of reasons why someone might hate someone else? Heh.

Well, I'm pretty sure that, for example, John Walsh hates the person who kidnapped and killed his kid. Not because he's afraid people will think he's a murderer himself and might exclude him from society, but because the other guy took his child away from him.

There are other reasons for hatred besides your limited armchair psychologizing. All you're doing by drawing that tight a framework over this aspect of human behavior is making yourself look like an idiot. Whether you are or not, I dunno, and don't much care. But you're definitely lookin' like one right now.

Nothing makes a game worth buying like knowing that your playing it and enjoying it is bugging the SHIT out of at least one self-absorbed moron.

Kinda like a digital A1 Steak Sauce.
