Nothing the EVE client can do can affect the game state, no advantage can be gained by manipulating the EVE client, no advantageous or disadvantageous information can be transmitted to other EVE users by altering the EVE client," added the company. Yeah, you have to go straight to the devs for that.

Meh. I've been trying for ten years to recapture the magic of the first few MMOs (UO thru DAoC), and I'm just about done with it. Don't think it's gonna happen, and so WAR will likely be the last one I ever bother with, if I even get it at all.
What I really need to do is paint my Warhammer Empire army. It's only been sitting primed in the foam case for, oh, 8 years now.

Considering PAX and Digital Overload are growing by explosions and supernovas, I don't think the CPL closing shop means people don't want to get together and play games.

"Here's your ship, you're a pirate, go do piratey things."
No main storyline? What would they have, a roster of NPCs that you could interact with and who might interact with each other, result being a kind of procedural generation of a story?
That could work. That could backfire horribly too.

Roast in hell, Buckley. You were one of the biggest douchebags to ever walk this earth. That sort of comment says much more about the one who utters it than about its target. You'll understand that when you grow up.

Since when does popularity mean that somethings good? About the same time that your not liking something means everyone else who does is a gullible zombie moron.

Well, the sequel was alluded to in one of the commentary tracks on level 16 (the android training level), so this really isn't a trade secret or anything. But yeah, here's hoping all she gets is an eyeroll and a heavy sigh.

Just as well it's not a 360 exclusive anymore - when it comes to console first-person shooters, I throw down like Stephen Hawking on 110v current. Doubt I'll ever get used to the double stick controller method.
Course, I said that about mouselook too, so maybe one day..

Hehe, yeah, the first time I played, I shuffled up to a guy and snacked him to death while he jumped around and shot me up a little. Then all I hear is screamed profanity and abuse for 2 minutes.
Apparently I wasn't *supposed* to kill him in a deathmatch game. Who knew?

"realistically destructable buildings" Yeah, hit points are realistic. Oh wait, that's exactly like every single other RTS. Fail.
"realistic cover system" Eh. If that's all you can think of for innovation (if unit behind X, then damage reduction Y), then my point still stands.
