Uggh, for $40, you'd think they'd add more than one act...

It still got a lot right, like combat. Much more snappy and responsive than something like PoE.

And much more hacked with a ruined economy

Not sure what you are talking about. If it had some massive economy or hacking problem I am unaware of it. Plus, unlike clunky combat, neither of those issues would have any impact on my enjoyment of the game. I didn't do AH. I just play with friends and we give each other upgrades.

built upon a character 'customization' that is full-on laughably restricted... unlike PoE.

Do you mean unrestricted? You can play around with all kinds of builds and get the one that works for you. It is PoE that locks you in and forces you to relevel another character to try something different. I don't mean that to dump on PoE, I just don't see any reason for every ARPG to lock you in, variety is good.

I imagine it really depends on the act. Lord of Destruction was just one act.

I am waiting for more info on how people like the new loot system. That was really the only big thing that was wrong with D3. There were other issues (the story wasn't very good for example) but really the big thing was loot and the initial end game tuning (which was probably largely related to loot).

It still got a lot right, like combat. Much more snappy and responsive than something like PoE.

Gran Turismo 6 - First Love Trailer.

As someone who LOVED the GT series (it was one of the main reasons I wanted the original Playstation as a kid)... meh. I imagine Half-Life 3 and WarCraft 4 will both have been out before we see real development here. And that makes me sad :/

I hadn't used Winamp in probably over 10 years, but it is still sad to see it go. I got a lot of us out of it when I did use it.

The ending would have worked out much better if Leviathan was included in the base game and the AI didn't take the form of a blue child.

Didn't really mind the child, but the child *voice actor* sure wasn't very robust IMHO.

Anyhow, many words have been said on that ending. I'm pretty talked out about it ... let's see where they take it now.

I didn't mind the child sequences that much, but at least with my ending they never went anywhere. I guess it was waiting for Chris Hanson to pop out.

It also didn't help that for some reason my ME1 and 2 Shepards looked the same, but for some reason in ME3 he looked like Dustin Hoffman from The Graduate instead. Wasn't the worst look ever or anything, but it was... random. This was on the 360 for what it is worth.

Yeah. Priced a bit high for me (already owning it on the PC anyway), but it is said to be quite good. I am hoping to pick it up on a sale at some point.

I just snagged BF4 from GMG for $48 and finished preloading. I wasn't willing to pay the full $60 for what is really BF3.5

Sadly it looks like that sale has ended. I might be interested at that price, but yeah... I don't feel the game is worth a full $60. Modern level-up shooter is rather overdone at this point. I still imagine I will pick it up later for less.

Or am I missing a sale?

Watching lots of people pretend that the two political parties are actually different or not rampantly corrupt is too funny!

Popcorn

In terms of rhetoric I guess there is some difference, but other than the ACA (and something like that was coming either way) there is almost no difference between this president and the last. People still go cheer for team red or team blue though...

I am sure all five of those who use Linux as a gaming platform would be willing to hand over the money require to make a AAA title be Linux-compatible right out of the gate.

I kid. I kid.
You may think you kid but you are actually correct.
You ever look at the humble bundle numbers? Linux users average a higher donation the mac or windows users, though they do have a vastly smaller number of purchases.

Is this a new development? In the past I thought OS X had the highest?

I don't see BF being a very interesting eSport. Usually far too many players to really follow any narrative as a spectator. I guess you could change that with small games, but I see that being boring for different reasons.

I guess it isn't that expensive, but 16GB of RAM seems a bit over the top to me. I cannot imagine needing that much.

Ho hum, another suit with no clue it seems. I do agree that the execution at EA has been abysmal, SWTOR cost far more than it should have. I doubt his leadership will change that much from his comment here.

To be fair, SWTOR could have probably been a pretty decent single player (possibly with co-op?) game. I was fine with a Mass Effect influenced KOTRy game. They just mucked it up with all the MMO stuff :/

I hope they have another free weekend. This looks like something I might be interested in, but I really need to play it to say for sure.

I know that is really my fault, I have missed a few. They just says seem to have the free weekends when I am busy.

The real culprits now are Blizzard and EA.

The people who still keep servers going for titles they released in the mid 90s? Really?

The people who require always online for single player games.

Diablo 2 is fully playable offline. Kill your net connection and try firing up D3 or the new Sim City.

Sorry, but no. When Blizzard starts to take some stuff offline you can try again, but don't even try to compare them to EA now. EA has a LONG history of taking stuff down very quickly, Blizzard is the exact opposite.
