News Comments > Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass Includes Batgirl Prequel

Yeah, the Arkham series is a showcase for 3D Vision support. Origins is bugged (gets really laggy moving around the city in 3D), but the other two are great.

News Comments > Grand Theft Auto V FOV Mod Bans
24. Re: Grand Theft Auto V FOV Mod Bans Apr 29, 2015, 10:27 Drayth

I went looking for a time of day sync mod this morning (having read this, think I'll pass on any mods till things are more clear on what can be used), and came across a working trainer that lets you spawn anything you want: guns, cars, w/e. The author rigged it so it wouldn't work in MP, but reading through the comments, no surprise, the block has already been worked around by others.

Sooooo... yeah. Now there's legitimate cheaters mixed in with the FOV users.

Edit - Well, at least it wasn't nin who beat me..

They were going to leave the free one up. The new one was to have only new functions added (I think it was just mod menu stuff, mainly something to do with crafting), no changes or improvements over the existing functions of the free one.

As has been pointed out, the subscription deal has been in place this whole time. It's nothing new.

This was all just a publicity stunt. Screw up one of the biggest gaming communities out there, then pretend to reverse it all and gain customer loyalty so everyone pre orders Half-Life 3 in 2034...

Just kidding. Well done, Valve (no seriously, make HL3 already).

There was a screenshot a few months ago of that double helix'ish light structure reported here on Blue's. Pretty sure that was them showing off that it was their in-house engine.

Must. Resist. Buying...

Stop it with all this positive crap...

Oh gawd dammit...now I am going to buy it...

A bit of advice... Don't just click through the dialogs with the NPCs... Really soak in what is going on for the particular quest... and you will enjoy the game a whole lot more.

This. The attention to detail in this MMO is outstanding. Click random NPC's who are even semi-involved in a quest and they'll often have unique things to say before, during (if applicable) and after a quest.

And this was with a moderately decent MVA panel. I've never owned TN panels, amazing how they're still being pushed on consumers. I get that they have very low input lag, but for me a monitor that changes colour if I lower or raise my head 2 degrees is unacceptable. Maybe the newer TNs have improved this?

There's true 8 bit TN panels now, like the ROG Swift, which improve the colors a bit, but you still have the small fov viewing angle, and color quality is still not as good as an IPS.

The new vmaa panels have IPS color quality but with a much better contrast ratio (and no "IPS glow"). They also suffer from a viewing angle issue though, but it's not as bad as TN panels from what I've gathered.

I'm still tripping that this is a 3D Vision ready game... may hook the ol' 3D Vision monitor back up for this.

well it's not like I wanted to buy this, but is anyone surprised? DA:I and Fifa 2015 as well as Lords of the Fallen have all the same problem and restrictions.

Really? Shit. I was going to buy DA:I at some point on sale.

I thought these hardware DRM schemes went out of fashion years ago? Apparently EA ignored Ubisoft's bad press, or something?

BioWare claimed the only thing they have running is that software that monitors modifying of the .exe, and that was mainly to counter MP cheats (they claimed).

I've heard no mention of hardware id'ing for copy protection. If it's there people have been pretty quiet about it in the places I've been looking.
