If you think about it though, all of this was likely done with the editor that we now have in our hands (considering this was all done within a week. I doubt this stuff was hardcoded). Theoretically all of this is possible.. but Id rather see "official" releases.
Still.. anything that doesn't make it I'm sure we'll see in the form of a mod eventually. |

This news article is a little off.. these features were never proposed to be put into the game. After Skyrim was finished, the company told all the the programmers to spend a week creating any feature they'd like to see in the game. It was a creative jam session.. and whether any of this makes it into the game is up them. But these are not "cut features" in the sense that they were being considered and didn't make it into the game.
I do hope some of those do make it.. the spear combat looked pretty rad.
Edit-Sorry if the video already explains this, I'm at work and don't have time to view this version of it. There's a full keynotes version of this video that goes into the development methods at Bethesda and the whole talk is awesome. |

Apparently this patch boosts performance so high the author of Skyboost is declaring his mod dead. Nice.
From the forum: 1) Place of test: Dragonsreach overlooking the tree (how original...) 2) Running over 1 GB of texture mods, gameplay mods, and some shadow tweaks 3) Rest are Ultra settings vanilla 1.3 --------> 23-24 (LAME!) SB r4_test1 ------> 35-36 (Alex, I love you man!! Please continue with SB!!) beta 1.4 -----------> 44-45 (Oh yes, your eyes are OK) |

Deny. Deny. Deny. Deny. CONFIRM! I'll personally laugh my ass off if Valve keeps denying it, then one day it shows up for sale on Steam without warning.
Knowing them, I couldn't put that past them. That would rock beyond belief. |

I still haven't gotten to playing NV. With the built in hardcore and this mod it sounds like I really don't need anything else mod wise, outside of lighting mods or such...
Nice. |

About the headgear, yes.. plunk down the money for a good set of audiophile headphones, and a good soundcard with a headphone amplifier. I actually use the highest end X-Fi sound card and love it.. but I know that's not a popular pick in these parts. That with a high end Sennheiser (HD-598's are great.. I had them before I upgraded). Skip their "gaming headphones".
Edit-Oh, nm.. you're not listening. (no pun intended) |

Early Game Access* will begin on December 13th at 7:00AM EST, 2011 and ends on December 19th, 2011 at 10:01PM EST. Directly from the email prompting me to preload. Actually, the Half Elf is correct.
Early Game Access* will begin on December 13th at 7:00AM EST, 2011 and ends on December 19th, 2011 at 10:01PM EST. During this time, we will be emailing invitations to join Early Game Access based on the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code.
This means they will begin sending out the mails beginning the 13th, staggered over several days, allowing you in. What day/time you get that mail will depend on when you registered your pre-order.
Presumably you will get it by the 15th, as the early access charge of $5 when purchasing from the Origin store specifically states that it's for 5 days of early access. If they don't deliver on that they would have to issue refunds on a pro-rated basis which would be a real pain in the ass I'm sure they don't want to have to do.
Actually you're incorrect about the Half-Elf being incorrectly corrected, he's incorrect.. at the bottom of the page linked in this article...
"Early Game Access may be up to 7 days."
Hence, the 13'th. |

You can choose anaglyph glasses as a viewing method for games. It's right there in the setup wizard, "3D Vision Discover".
And yes, it's *amazing* to use it in Skyrim. I can game on it all day though, I don't get any fatigue. |

Tons of games work great in 3D (pretty much all rpg's with 3D graphics), and people are uber-happy over how well 3D works in Skyrim over on the 3D Vision forum. Especially considering there was no official support.
I'm picking up the game next week, otherwise Id comment on how good it is. |
