Post-it note arcade is just a work of art. Better than most contemporary crap found in galleries. |

I've been thinking about this & having watched a documentary on the moon landings a few months back I have a plan. Fact, all printed colour on the American flags left planted on the moon have completely faded, this means the vinyl material is now all white. Register an all white flag for Manstovia & boom just like that your land mass increases by 37.8 million square kilometers.
Your welcome. |

nin wrote on Mar 23, 2013, 02:57: I remember scraping together the money to buy a 486/66 just to play Duke Nukem 3d, and then the moment I got a look at Quake (required a P75?), realizing another upgrade was in store.
So many awesome memories of gaming in the 90s...voodoo rush to voodoo2, seeing glquake and then Unreal run for the first time (jaw dropping, in both cases). Everyone coming up with patches that added glide support. Walking into computer city and seeing the huge stack of Starcraft boxes. That wacky assed spaceorb.
Gaming felt different back then...less of a focus on the megapublisher and their latest hit, and more of trying to actually make a decent game that pushed the limits of hardware.
Was fun while it lasted.

Moving into crisp cool mornings here but have some good temps forecast for the next few weeks then that will be it. Just as well the country is in it's worst farming drought in 50-100 years after what was a brilliant Summer for the rest of us. Just need to finish painting parts of the house exterior put the garden to bed & I'm good to go.

A little chill of Autumn (Fall) in the air. The begining of the end to a record breaking long hot sunny Summer. Hot without the terrible heat off the Nor West, but hot with a pleasant wind off the Nor East. We needed this 2.5 years on from 10,000 earthquakes & aftershocks, nothing of note in the last 6 months Most of the city has come down now with nothing over 5-7 stories to be built in the future, it will actually be a very beautiful city when completed. The place is starting to fill up with workers from all around the country & overseas as the demolishion finishes & the rebuild begins. For those interested we recorded the highest ground acceleration ever recorded by an earthquake with an epicentre directly under a built up area 2.2g. Japans was centred off the coast generating the terrible tsnami.

On the bright side you can now sympathise with serial killers. And yeah the whole freeze & chuck on rubbish day works for me, but bend your knees it's a hell of a weight a frozen body. |

"Time to figure out who will sing the Manstovia national anthem"
You mean the National anthem I created & posted last April? I'm honoured. All rights reserved.
Hail hail Manstovia set the fires of freedom alight. Hail hail King Blue he has a fork, he is brave, oh what a glorious sight. Manstovia! Manstovia! Sit your arse on the grass & raise your favourite beverage to the sky. Here's to me here's to you medium rare, well done or red white & bleeding blue, now wipe that tear of joy from your eye.

I sang the praises of the Razer deathadder mouse the last time you were up for a replacement, but no you didn't listen. Razer rules.
My post Jan2 2012 "Love my DeathAdder it's so light, razer gaming gear ftw." http://goo.gl/RlkW
Jan 17th 2011 Just picked up a razer deathadder gaming mouse half price. Highly recommend, really nice big mouse with a matt coating. Since replacing my usual logitech keyboard last year with a razer I'm a convert.

Continuing from the into the black link I just thought of another great game from the past. Vietcong Amazing singleplayer Amazing amazing co-op, simply amazing. I remember both myself & my co-op partner being totally amazed by this amazing game. Seriously though it had truely great ai & probably is still the best jungle recreation also loved the booby traps. Brilliant sound as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5mjto-VNTQ

Well done. Ditto on the whole Epic snub. Unreal singleplayer was a total emersion sport for me. Early multi player gaming was a small secret community, I look back fondly at the self regulating community that all got along & were amazingly cooperative. I remember playing threewave CTF & Zoid joinned & everyone had a ton of questions as he was doing the ctf maps for the up & comming Q3. The guy was a true gentleman answering all questions while defending the base like a bot, as a bonus we were rewarded with a screenshot of a q3 map he was working on.
Favourite gaming memories.
Playing a shit load of Operation Flashpoint in the first year after it was released around 2001. That world was incredible. Singleplayer & co-op, some of the best co- op games I ever experienced. The addon Red Hammer was also very good.
The multi maps for return to Castle Wolfenstein. I have had some amazing online experiences but that probably tops the lot, created by nerve software if I remember rightly. In particular the night map where you storm the beach or defend as germam troops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBDBLx4He-E
No one lives forever 1 & 2 A truely great singleplayer. I could go on, would'nt mind Blue if you organised a look back at the early days & evolution if you could call it that of the FPS, where everyone shares their experiences & stories including yourself. I know you have done it in the past but it's probably time for another.
