Re: Surveillance Court Rules That N.S.A. Can Resume Bulk Data Collection

I, for one, don't believe for one second they ever stopped bulk collection, nor will they going forward. And you better believe the data is being mined hard 24/7. Police

Although it wasn't mentioned in the article as one of his credits, he played the best Caligula ever in I Claudius. Thumbsup

Maybe I'm really slow this morning, but what does the "In Soviet Union..." mean?

Re: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to Star in 'Big Trouble in Little China' Remake.

I take full responsibility for this, I recently ordered the Blu-Ray, and sold my DVD set on eBay. I must have set off some chain of events that led us to this. Wacky

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road- Full Behind the Scenes Movie B-roll. Thanks nin.

Just saw this flick yesterday afternoon with a couple of best friends, so seeing this post this morning was perfect. Thanks, and everybody do yourself a favor and see the movie. As far as I'm concerned this was the summer's best. Stinks though that the only IMAX showings are on the coasts. Popcorn

Are there any kind of smoke detectors that connect to the Internet so that you can get an alert over your phone -- like a security camera's motion detection?

I can see it now, your phone alerts you to your smart smoke detector going off, you log onto your ip camera in time to see your house burning to the ground. Fireman

There has been talk of diverting part of the Missouri River flow to head towards SW Kansas. The SW US has already consumed the Colorado River. Here is the latest I found on the MO diversion idea:

Re: PS4 firmware update 2.51 available to download now.

Now the link has an update saying all references to the 2.51 firmware have been removed. So I guess something's up. No skin off my nose as I am still rockin' my PS3.

Yeah, that Onion article is hilarious. Can't wait for the inevitable group to come along calling for a protest of SeaWorld based on this. Heh.

And yes, that bubble artist did blow me away. That was ahh-mazing!

You should be boycotting Sea World regardless.

Why? Orcas are the jerks are the sea so eff them. And I'd probably eat dolphin if I was allowed to. And the rest are just dumb fish in tanks that would be eaten anyway. I can see the argument for closing down zoos, but aquariums are fine. However, yes I agree orcas and dolphins don't belong in them. Far more sporting to hunt them in the wild.

I could have sworn I saw somewhere that said dolphins were the ones who bombed Pearl Harbor.

Reminds me of...

"Curiously enough, the dolphins had long known of the impending destruction of the planet Earth and had made many attempts to alert mankind of the danger; but most of their communications were misinterpreted as amusing attempts to punch footballs or whistle for tidbits, so they eventually gave up and left the Earth by their own means shortly before the Vogons arrived."

So long, and thanks for all the fish...

Oh for god sake, America! You're the last and only friggin country on the planet that doesn't use the metric system. It's really not that hard. Get with the program already! At this point you're like that weird, smelly new kid at school who has to eat alone in the cafeteria.

Or maybe we are the weird, smelly new kid that can beat up everyone else in school and then eat their lunch? Trollbashing

Thought I would drop back in on this topic and leave a note for posterity. My friend who lives in Gladstone (Northern Suburb of KCMO) just got his gigabit Google Fiber hookup this week - March 10, 2015. His Speedtest results were 700 down, and 600 up, which the installer said was typical.
