For the record, I started and finished Mass Effect 1 and in the process of finishing Mass Effect 2 and realised that there is a lot of content missing from the main game, made as DLC:

Kasumi - Stolen Memory: 2 Missions, 1 Squadmate, 1 Location, 1 Submachine Gun and 1 Upgrade.

Overlord: 4 Assignments, 1 Location and 1 Upgrade.

Lair of the Shadow Broker: 1 Mission, 1 Temporary Squadmate, 1 Location, 6 Upgrades and 2 Cabin Items.

Arrival: 1 Assignment, 1 Location and 3 Upgrades.

All this are long, are not included in the main game (even if you have Digital Deluxe Ed. or Collector Ed.) and some (like Arrival or Lair of the Shadow Broker) are really worth playing, but damn, they are really expensive!
DLC is getting out of hand. I know that A LOT of content wil be missing from Mass Effect 3 from day 1 and made as DLC. Its a shame as I dont plan too buy it, as I didnt buy Mass Effect 2 DLC...

"- The content in “From Ashes” was developed by a separate team (after the core game was finished) and not completed until well after the main game went into certification." Yeah right...

I don't actually agree with any of these. All these DLCs came out LONG after the main game, so in that case I think it's clear they were developed after the main game shipped. i have no problem with those, especially since I quite enjoyed all of these.

Zaeed's DLC pack and this From Ashes pack were both created at the same time, were ready at launch day, and are simply being sold separately to raise profits.

Creston
I checked release dates and damn, you are right. Nevertheless, they are expensive as hell, and "From Ashes" DLC is unexcusable.

Biggest letdown ever.
I thought that this bundle would have COOP games (Valentines anyone?). Instead, I got old games I already have and some I dont want. And I preordered... my mistake for sure!
Spent $4 on something that has ZERO value for me right now and nothing goes to charity. I know, its my fault. Will never ever preorder again.
Indie Royale: better step it up.

Why is people so retarded about RAGE and it's textures? Megatexture is a tech that will do better as hardware progresses... RAGE is 22gb and uses ~1,2gb of video memory in my system.

Why on earth would you want higher res textures? To whine about a 50gb download? Or to whine because your video card can't handle it?
Everyone wants a better looking Rage. Could be a texture pack, could be a patch, could be a combination of filters and detail textures (which is crap by the way) but Megatexture turned out to be terrible thing for pc players and the game requirements are too high for how it plays sounds and LOOKS. Is it clear now?

Yeah, Space Marine was a steal at sixteen bucks, too good to pass up.
I found it dull, boring, absolutely repetitive and it blatantly steals some things from other games: God of War, Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War, and more. Im trying to finish the SP campaing but it bores me soo much..

This does surprise me a little. Homefront sold well, Space Marine sold very well (despite beign a crap game, I cant finish the game cause its boring and repetitive), and Armageddon despite beign crap put up a fight. THQ is going downhill. I really hope they dont fuck up Metro: Last Light.

Oh THQ. If only you'd done Red Faction Guerilla II :P

Armaggedon was not as bad as people make it (I actually enjoyed as long as it lasted) but a Guerilla II would have been at least 10 times more exciting, that's for sure.
Armageddon was totally crap. Absolutely boring gameplay. Couldnt finish cause its unbearable. Absolutely repetitive.

20. Re: RAGE OS X Released; Windows Version Patched Feb 3, 2012, 06:47 ochentay4

Few days ago I complained about id not patching the game. Yesterday noticed Rage was patching (you wouldnt believe no idea my excitement!). Then noticed the textures were not updated, insted a filter/sharpening combination was added...

When turning On Detail Textures it warned me about no having enough cores (I have a Phenom 965, 4 cores at 3.3ghz, I think its more than enough for ALL games, wtf!?). When playing the game stutters like hell, but it really improves close up textures (but adds A LOT of noise too, which I hate). Currently is unplayable with Detail Textures On with my setup.

My current specs: Phenom 965, ATI 6850 12.2 Preview Driver, 8GB RAM.

Im absolutely hating id now. Shame cause id loved every game they've released till now.

DLC for Dead Island? Did they ever fix & patch the game after being released crippled?

Kinda... most things should've fixed are in Dead Island Helper Tool made by a fan...

They should polish the game, its not that they sold few units...

13. Re: Quoteworthy - Paradox on DRM Jan 25, 2012, 12:26 ochentay4

People complain about DRM and other idiots LOVE to have their steam account filled with games.

If a bundle (royal, humble, other) doesnt have games that dont register on steam the bundle is less succesful than other that does register (even if they offer the games drm free).

Paradox use Steam because customers WANT not because they want. I bet if people claim their games to be DRM STEAM FREE they could ship them DRM FREE for real.

One phenomenon I've noticed is the direct correlation between people who only play on their 40" bargain flatscreen's speakers and people who frequently claim others are cheating. A friend who was in that situation, and who was actually a fairly good and experienced COD player, fell prey to that line of thinking. He could aim and react pretty well, but kept on bitching about cheaters when it came to close combat or guys on the other side of a wall. He got a nice set of Turtle Beach headphones for an early Christmas present, and the look on his face when he realized that, unless he had Ninja Pro (or whatever it's called in MW3) to silence his footsteps, he could easily be tracked by sound alone (by anyone with a proper surround or headphone setup)...well, it was definitely a shock. The allegations of cheating have dropped off sharply since that revelation, and I wonder how common that really is, as he's not the only one with that setup.
To claim everyones cheating is an easy way to justify that they suck, even if they think they dont.

Playing Dark Souls has let me re-think about new games difficulty. Some games should be harder to learn.
I recently beat Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC "Missing Link" in hard or "Deus Ex" difficulty. What a piece of cake...
Call of Duty is like the Bejeweled of FPS. Its easy to pick up but really hard to master.

Will try to stop this nonsense and get some sleep, I still have dozen of games to play. Blame Steam, Amazon, GreenManGaming, and every fking bundle in last 6 months.
