"There are spoilers within, following the growing trend of revealing almost every detail of a game before its release."

You hit the nail on the head Blue.

bioshock 1 - 2nd most overrated game ever
bioshock 2 - 1st most overated game ever

the combat and movement is just retarted

why cant they all be as smooth as borderlands - combat and guns were perfect

You have your opinion, Bioshock was a fun and engaging game, we'll have to see about the 2nd.
As for Borderlands, for a game that was touted to have 20 bazillion guns the loot in the game was amazingly mediocore, gun after same gun, white chests housed garbage most the time and green chests the same, i used the same lvl24 gun forever, thats just bad design and overhype from a dev that touted loot galore.

Now..for the most overhyped games, that would be Biowares games, Mass Effect being one of the most overhyped, yawn inducing, stale hybrid rpgs ever.

Im crossing my fingers they didnt fubar Bioshock 2.

Why have they been hyping the shit out of this if it's so far off? By the time the game comes out everyone will be sick of hearing about it.

Theyre simply learning from the best, Blizzard.

Why did this game have to be Star Wars, im so fucking tired of Star Wars.

The 10-12 hour work day 6-7 days a week has become commonplace in America and its a well known fact that people and families suffer for it.

We all want jobs and security but at what price? Sounds like Rockstar, like so many companies are cashing in on the "your lucky to have a job in this economy" practices.
Rockstar(like most companies)could give two shits about its workforce in general.

Sounds like business as usual in America.

Sounds like they're still planning on releasing the same game in 3 parts and charging full price each time. I think I'll buy it once and pirate it the next two times. In fact, no one should buy this game more than once, it will only encourage their bullshit.

QFT.

Now..again why hasnt this game been released yet?..

Stanly Manly wrote on Dec 29, 2009, 15:25:
Not a specific comment on this DLC, but I received DA:O for PS3 as a gift this xmas, and I just wanted to say... what the fuck are fanbois smoking when they say this game is good?

My god, the UI is atrocious. The menu system is ridiculously nested and non-intuitive. The Party health display is useless, as the health/stamina meters are so subtle that you can barely see them. The idiotic radial menu system with analog stick control, coupled with the horrific ability binding sequence make me wonder if it was deliberately made as a sadistic joke upon gamers.

Now, actual gameplay... could I get more ability cooldowns, please? Yes, that is sarcasm. With a deluge of abilities available to you, all with significant (some up to 90 seconds), and a mere 6 "hotkeys", you find yourself trying to place as many talent points into passive or sustained abilites as possible, simply to avoid having to use activated abilities.

And more loading, too. I just cant get enough loading as I go into a small house, more loading as I go up to another floor of that house, and then load 2 more times going out.

How about sustained abilities that may or may not stack, and the only way you can tell is after you've already spent the talent points. Oh, and don't allow any sort of refund or respec ability. God knows I'd never want to do that, after realizing how utterly useless many of the abilities are. Cone of Cold sounded great until it froze my entire party most of the time. Nothing like crowd controlling yourself...

So, at least the tactics are fairly dependable for setting party AI, but I still do a /palmface when I see the limited tactics slots that only increase with level/skillpoint assignments. This is utterly ridiculous.

The saving grace of this game is the story and the manner in which it is told. It's fairly compelling, and the voice acting is usually quite good. The game world seems well realized, and the characters and settings are believable and "fit" for the most part. I could do without all the blatant "choose good/evil/neutral" dialogue options and party approval ratings, though. Sometimes I just want to play, not worry if a decisions is going to come back and bite me in the ass, or if the party member I have finally tweaked with enough tactics slots is starting to not like me.

Anyway, if anyone cares at all, I'd give this game a 6.5/10. Worth a rent, or maybe a buy at discount price, but I certainly would have never paid full price for it, myself.

Agreed 100%

28. Re: IW on MW2 Fixes Dec 18, 2009, 17:18 Sempai

The ironic thing about this is its primarily on the 360.

1.Consoles are easy, safe & Secure!

2.You wont be subjected to any virus or hacks, its a closed system.

3.$50 bucks a year buys you a safe and secure online environment.

Thx but I'll take dedicated servers where the admin can ban this sort garbage without having to wait for a company on vaca to get around to it.
I'll take dedicated servers where i can actually choose my game and map and see my ping and not 1-4 bars cause the dev feels im not intelligent enough to see an actual number.

Thx for the safe and secure gaming experience but color me not impressed at $60 bucks.

As it's totally obvious you have no clue what development means or what you're talking about, why not just STFU and grow up.

Ask any Developer that's been in 'crunch mode' for months and ask them 'Hey if your games a bazillion copies, would you like a month off, especially since it's around the holiday season?'. I sure as hell would, as I am sure anyone who was on MW2's dev team that also had a baby during the games development.

Fixes are coming.

I agree, but it doesnt require an entire team to be on base for issues post launch
Im all for family time, hell these companies push their teams too far imo and whats more tragic is these ppl give years of their life and then the company fucks them over by not aknowledging them in the credits. Its straight up abuse and family and life take a back seat for a stupid job, oh forgive me a "career"

That said..you cant tell me these guys dont have the resources to take on a small team who are to be present while the main team takes their vaca. These guys are making Blizzard type of money but without the Blizzard support.

Fuck IW and their excuses, i purchased their product for $60 bucks i expect to atleast be able to play the game online without comprimising hacks(no dedicated servers for better security my ass!)which isnt the case atm.

This blows my mind, there isnt a game that releases these days that doesnt have bugs and in alot of cases, game breaking bugs and issues.

The fact that Activision and IW knew this was going to be the largest selling game this year(of all time)and the entire studio goes on vacation for over a month tells me what utter fucking morons they are and how much these doosh bags care about their online community.

MW2 is a solid and fun game but the nature of its online component is almost like Blizzard releasing WOW then going on vacation for a month and expecting everything to be dandy when they get back.

Are we supposed to feel lucky that some nubs in the company are working on a patch on their own time? How arrogant these assholes are.

I cant find a cage match without being thrown into a 20 man hacked version on the xbox atm, its nigh unplayable.
These dickweeds dont even respond to the community on their own forums.
That 402 guy is just another example of what asshats IW as a whole really are.
..And for the record Robert Bowling(multiplayer lead designer) looks and speaks like typical xbox live dillweed.

15. Re: Warhammer Online Reenlistment Campaign Dec 17, 2009, 00:39 Sempai

The problem with a game like Warhammer or any "PVP" centric mmo is the classes are all watered down for class balance.

Particularly in WAR they boasted 20 classes or whatever but each classes counterpart was exactly the same, the spells just had different names.

Theyre doing the same to some extent in WOW cause of BG's and Arena, its lame and stupid imo.
