Nope, it's not Blacksite. This one was a couple of years earlier. It's free so can't go too far wrong. Still waiting for my DL to finish to find out if it's add supported.

I've experienced the same odd huge text a few times this year. I'm running Vista and I haven't seen that issue since I installed IE8 Beta. Whenever I did have the weird text, no amount of changing IE's settings for Font Size made a difference and I put the whole thing down to being a bugfuckup of some description with IE more than this website, even moreso once the same problem occurred one the ninemsn website a couple of times, too. Closing the browser and reopening the page solved the problem each time for me which, again, lead me to think the problem was browser and not site.

This is about the 3rd time Willits has corrected him now. Gonna have to start banning JC from going out alone or without a muzzle.
Thinking back to what JC was on about when he said some of those things, it was more of what made sense to him than what they were actually doing. After rebuilding my pc last month, I had to redownload about half my Steam collection and that was 22GB, so that for one game on the latest tech doesn't seem to insane yet. Pretty sure Bioshock was about 8GB.

I got the same problem at one point Quboid, with regards to the system has not been modified, running Vista Ultimate 64. After a couple of tries and no success, I went to Device Manager and manually updated the drivers from the NVidia folder it creates on C. Everything worked okay doing it that way, even the PhysX.

I'm glad to see these back. I always enjoyed these many moons ago.Hard to believe it was so long ago now. Back then I'd have been real close to upgrading for DooM3. Can't recall what came after the Ti4600. Ah, the good old days;P
Nice to see these back Blue and 2.

I got this when it first came out, as much for the tools to play with as the game itself. However, I still play and enjoy UT2004 and just can't stand UT3, even after you get past the menus and into the game. Never could put my finger on it til now, but I'll have to thank theyrecomingforyou for nailing it; it's a graphically busy mess IMO.
UT was excellent, UT2K3 was a waste of money. UT2K4 was lots and lots of fun and great value for me and UT3 isn't floating my boat. So, I'll hope Epic keeps to form and the next one should be a damn fine game.

I'm not sure why but LG and LITEON DVD drives I've had always failed to install a disc or two. Now I've got the latest Samsung and Sony and the Sony has never failed to read anything. The Samsung is good, too, but that failed to read RTCW.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Steam patch games that Valve themselves didn't make. Also, whenever you see Gabe interviwed about Steam, he talks about it automatically patching all your games to the latest versions as one of Steams prime selling points.
Except for HL2 having a bug that stopped you being able to complete the game under WinXP x64 (they may have fixed that eventually), I've never had any issues with any games under Steam.

gamersgate.com does sell to Australians and also has The Witcher. However, it's a title only available to Nth America. So, yeah, I guess it's a publisher thing.

Hey! no complaining about the no discount for you buying Crysis through Steam. In Australia we have three options for buying it:
Option 1 - Crysis Warhead $29.99
Option 2 - Crysis Complete Pack $89.98
Complete pack includes Crysis valued at $59.99 and Warhead valued at $29.99.
Option 3 - Crysis Complete Pack $94.98
Complete pack includes Crysis valued at $59.99 and Warhead valued at $29.00.
Individual Price for both - $89.98
Package Price Cost to you - $94.98
What a deal!
Already have Crysis but Warhead via Steam is around $20.00 less than it will be here so I'll grab it.

I almost picked up Clear Sky at EB here in Australia last night and it was $69.95. I decided to go without until I knew I'd have some time to play it and then it became available to Australian Steam users this morning for $35.99 USD, so buying it from Steam was an easy decision. The id Super Pack was too good to pass up, too. Depends on the luck of the draw where you're located and that sucks. Still can't buy the first Stalker on Steam from Australia though.

Yeah, I do some shopping for stuff for myself from Play-Asia SavageD. You put me onto them ages ago when I was trying to find somewhere to get SOF Payback from. Sadly, I managed to get a copy;P

I haven't bought many games locally of late but last time I walked into an EB store here, the prices have gone up, not down. Spore Galactic or whatver they're calling it was $130 or 130.00. Many of the latest games over $110.00.
Unless I count Scorched Earth, which someone gave to me on floppy disk sometime in the early 90's, I've never not purchased any game I've even tried. I don't usually bother with demos and just grab what I hope will be good. Still, with prices going as mad as they are here, I'm just playing a lot less games because I can't afford them like I used to do. I've got a shitload of games on Steam but if they do as they mentioned not so long ago and localize prices per country, that will be the end of them for me, too. Everytime I startup Steam and see Call of Duty 4 for $88.50 I positively want to vomit. And that was a great game worth it's price, which I paid $75.00 last xmas.

The biggest problem here in Australia, at least in my opinion, is that voting is compulsory. Plenty of dickheads vote here because they have to without having a clue what's going on to begin with.
Our last government which was ousted earlier this year, set new levels in being complete and utter assholes to the average worker by making it way to damn easy to fire people. Lots of people lost their jobs under that system. Our new government who is every single bit as clueless and in many ways, quite a lot worse, basically rode into power by promising to overturn that one piece of legislation. So, in my mmost humble of opinions, they got in via revenge voting instead of logical thought because as all australians are going to find our pretty quick, these guys plan to screw you even harder, but with a less personal touch.
Plenty of other reasons, of course, why we end up with asswipes in power. In this case, I'm just concentrating on federal and it's pretty much the same thing either way. Last elections I was tempted to decide via a coin toss because we were fucked either way.
