I'm not a fan of more zombie games, but I actually think this looks like it could be a fun game right up my ally. Very minecraft-esque. That said, I wonder if they're taking too much on....I think this may have to be my first kickstarter.

To each his own, but I'm the opposite on chicken. I cook at a low heat for a longer period of time. I don't sear the ouside like I would a steak because it's not a steak. It's a more delicate meat and the texture of a chicken gets tough when you sear it, and you're not "locking in the juices" like you are on red meat.

Brine, rub, and cook at a low temp if you're grilling it....indirect heat is even better. Bone in you always cook bone side down until it's done. If there's skin, put the rub under the skin and keep it away from direct heat.

We all cook a little differently and have our own style though.

Definitely get a full rack of spare ribs and cut them down to a St. Louis style rib yourself, that way you can have the rib tips as a greasy yummy snack while waiting for the ribs to finish.

Don't hold off on the pork butt, they're easy and you should give them a run. They do take a while to cook and EVERYONE has a different idea of how to cook it. I suggest you use a bone-in shoulder, I think they come off of the smoker with a better pork flavor and seem to hold their moisture much better at a higher temperature.

Here is a good article about wrapping and temperature rise in smoked meat.....talks about how basting isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Long URL, had to make it a tag

Does anyone else find it odd that the Amber Alert covered from the city to maybe 60 to 75 miles north, but they didn't even bother with the bordering counties in NJ? I get that the NYS Troopers are the ones who authorized it, so they can't do it in NYC, but this seems like a major hole in their alert system....the abductor just needs to choose the right bridge out of NYC.

In my opinion, the problem with this type of poll is that people who are more protective of their privacy are more likely to say "No thank you" when someone calls to poll them so you're not going to get a real sample of the general population, especially with a privacy question. I know I don't like to give people info like age, race, income, political affiliation, etc. If I don't want the government to monitor my information and make a profile of me, why would I want a random pollster to do it? I'd like to know how many people they had to call to get that 1004 person sample size.

It's funny, I stopped watching the show because I started reading the books. I know "the book is better then the movie" is an over used expression, but in the case of this story...it's so complicated and twisted up with the character plot lines that I don't think I could follow it in episodic form. The last couple books get crazy with the plot changes, sub plots, and number of characters being followed. I can only imagine how they'll turn those into a tv show without cutting too much.

Sweet....always loved I76. Now we just need a Rocket Jockey kickstarter.

I'm going to put the 7th guest sound track out there as another great oldie. I still listen to it on occasion.

I was wondering how it could be bad for the oven....but after reading the link, it sounds like they're only referring to electric ovens. I remember getting chemical burns from oven cleaner (my fault) when I was younger, so I try to avoid that stuff like the plague.

Quick question for the residents of Manstovia...what temperature do you smoke a corn beef to? I know....pastrami without the rub. I say 190, my father says 165. The google box isn't much help, opinions seem to vary wildly. Does anyone have experience with smoking corn beef to different temps,or making pastrami?

As for fund raisers I say blue holds a summer cookout at his house, complete with wings and chilli. $40 entry fee and BYOB.

If you think this game is to complex or if thats even a drawback then this isnt the game nor genre for you.

Thanks for the advice.

Check custom game options, probably can disable.

Indeed, I generally do disable them. I'm a fan of the building/culture/science portion, I don't really like the religion and spying.

I love Civ V, but I wonder if this is going to start getting too complex but after adding religion and spies, I started playing less. I'll prob. get this expansion anyhow because I appreciate the work they put in and enjoy the new Civs....plus you can always turn off religion and esp. in the game settings.

In our mid 30's and living 45 minutes apart, this is the only game my friends and I will actually get together and lug computers to one house for a night of drinking and Civ. It plays so much better in person, especially when we take a smoke break and yap about what's going on in the game and try to bluff about how great we're each doing. I don't think we've yet completed a game....it gets to a point where it's 3 AM and there's an obvious winner.

The original 7th Guest had one of my favorite sound tracks. I hope they bring back "The Fat Man" for the music again.

Agreed, I bought ARMA 2 + CO to check out this mod and IMO it's not worth the purchase for the mod (I don't play ARMA 2 otherwise). I haven't played it in a few months, but the last time I did people were teleporting other players into "thunderdome" situations, or out into the ocean to drown. That could have been fixed by now. Tents were losing items, or just plain becoming unaccessable, people would server hop ("ghost") into your camp so that they didn't have to fight you to get your stuff, and of course plenty of people would sit around just shooting at fresh respawns, but AFAIK that's a working as intended thing.

I thought the offensive player initiated the contact, and that the no-call was a good one. The ball was catch-able, and it did land on the stripe, however when it was "catch high" it was in-bounds, or at least reachable for someone who was in-bounds.

Anyone else have the winning score on their squares till that safety? Cost me a $1000 end of game prize, and I saw it coming a mile away....but I was hoping they wouldn't do it since a free-kick could tie it....and Akers kicking off a tee is one of the more dangerous guys out there.

Obviously a little too late, but last week Amazon had the crusader Kings pack on sale for $10, Crusader Kings, CK2, and ALL DLC for $10.

I wondered why he posted a link to the web site...like he was telling people where to find the hacks. Then I clicked on the link, and found it wasn't the site....A little google with the guy's name and "artificialaiming" and I found out the site is artificialaiming.net and that dude appears to make the hacks (is on staff at least).

Maybe he's just trying to tell people not to buy the hacks there?

Are you high on the marijuana, son? Those are the assholes who created this problem to begin with. Now they want to grab what they can and run like thieves in the night. Fuck them and the horse they rode in on.

While I understand your opinion on this, the decision doesn't lie with you, me, or the general public. This decision is made by the Judge with the input of the creditors. If the creditors feel that it's worthwhile, they will recommend to the judge to ok it and all will go fine. If they don't, then the judge will have to decide.

The judge already rejected converting it to a Chapter 7, meaning no overseeing trustee, and agreed with the argument that a trustee will take too long to come up to speed on how the business works and thus devalue the assets of the company.

Who anyone feel created this situation doesn't really matter at this point, what matters is getting maximum value for the assets. Potential buyers interested in the assets have inquired about rehiring the existing workforce. The faster and more efficient the sale can take place will benefit everyone. Sometimes when you're getting screwed there's nothing you can do about it but use a little lube to make it less painful. Think of these bonuses as the lube in this painful screw job.

Beamer is right on with his assessment of why these people are being grossly paid to stick it out. The expectation is that they will add more then 1.8 million in value to the sale of the assets due to their expertise and familiarity with the company.
