Awesome little gem of a game. There are some MP issues (some with work arounds though)and stability issues overall. But it's still a fun game, with very innovative gameplay, and it's funny to boot.
For the $10 asking price, it's a freaking steal if you ask me.
Oh and anyone who says "Oh it uses XNA no wonder it looks like crap" - it doesn't look like crap. |

It's been in beta for a while now and it launches in like a week or something I think.
The game looks amazing, that's for sure. Didn't care much for the UI or the beginning mission/tutorial. But that's just me I'm sure. Most people I know in the beta or who've played the game like it quite a bit. I'm sure Blue probably posted about it a few times here or there, and if not I'm sure he knows about the game....maybe heh. |

The game also does not work on x64 systems. And before you say it will, it doesn't lol
Won't launch on my Vista 64 rig, and plenty of people are complaining already about it (even though the Steam page specifically says 32 bit only). |

The game "has surpassed quality standards." Since it was developed by NetDevil would those quality standards be the same as Auto Assaults? Don't you dare dis Auto Assault! I'm still in mourning |

I think they are just saying that multiplayer (whatever that is, co-op etc) will be handled though GFWL, which of course is free to use. I'm pretty sure you'll have to buy the game first though |

Age of Empires Online is not F2P.

Shame they aren't planning any expansions or sequels. Really enjoyed the game quite honestly. Thought it was going to be total crap from the videos and screens, but turned out to be quite fun and engaging.
Hopefully they change their minds on that one. |

Plenty of way better SHMUPs out there (mostly made by Japanese and only on consoles or MAME, but whatever). Did you try out the demo? SHUMP is certainly not abysmal. It may not be an incredible or amazing game, but it's decent to good depending on your viewpoint.
Also, feel free to list some links to these other shumps etc. I've been trying to find some good ones (and hard ones) for a couple of days now with no luck to speak of. |

| Sadly there aren't many people playing online. However there are dedicated servers, and if you join one it usually loads up pretty fast. And the game is extremly fast paced and quite fun. The devs listen to the community and chat with us on the Steam forums (and their blog etc) so there's that too. |

Metal Drift is one of the most underrated little indie games out there. Blue I'm so glad you posted this. The game needs more attention from the big dogs in the PC gaming news arena and you fit the bill |

It's exciting to be able to offer these classic games to a new audience Yes, it's whole new audience because these games are so old no one who played them the first time around on the PC or Genesis is still alive and playing games on the PC. Odd, I played them the first time around and I'm still playing games on the PC... |
