| And not only that, but the Rakghouls are already in the lore of the SWTOR universe, since Rakghouls were in the game since the first KOTOR itself. |

I'm just saying it's pretty rewarding when those guys show up in body armor so you get to do the "beatdown" combo. Especially after a bad day at work. Yeah, the combat in the game, while really quite simple, is soooo satisfying. I love the slo mo zoom ins on doods getting raped by Bats. |

I got seriously dizzy playing this. This has NEVER happened before in my entire gaming life, so I don't know what the hell Croteam did, but yowza. When you get that hammer at the start and swing it, I felt like I was going to puke/pass out practically! |

| Very slick game. Presentation, sometimes at least, is everything. And this game has it in spades imo. Game is fun also, which is a plus. I just wish there were more beta testers. Not to mention more test windows open. |

There could be 5 guys left playing and EA would still charge them 15$ a month. This had nothing to do with TOR going F2P. He discussed whether they would make WAR F2P and how TOR would affect WAR in the long run. Since they have WOH coming up, they don't feel the need to go down the F2P route with WAR, even though most people would argue otherwise.
TOR will never go F2P, not with the budget and resources that have been sunk into it. WAR should be F2P by this point. |

Plus, I always wanted multiplayer for Max Payne (The Specialists HL1 mod ftw!) so this is great news finally for me! |

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Portal, and Team Fortress)
Newsflash, if you are a corporation, you better know what franchises you created and which you didn't.
Because TF and CS are not by Valve , TF was a mod for Quake, and CS a mod for HL. Done by modders, NOT by valve. Valve bought the mod teams, and the IPs for those games/mods as I'm sure you know. Therefore they can say whatever they want, since they own the names and all that good stuff. |

It's scripted becasue they are tying to give an example of the story and gameplay. The progression had to make sense in the context of the presentation.
Complaining becasue a preview is scripted is like going to a movie and complaining you don't get to make the decisions and choose the paths during the movie. we're complaining that the game is scripted not the presentation (of course its going to be set up to show off the game)
the gameplay itself looks like you don't really have any control over the game, it might as well be a movie
edit: that was the first 15 minutes of the game apparantly not an example. Actually that part of the game is from the end of the 3rd level of the game. If you watch the extended cuts interview with Levine on GT, he says that explicitly. |

Then why are you even gaming?
It's being made as a modern day equivalent to the Dark Alliance games, the devs even admitted to being BG:DA fans and they want to recreate that same type of casual gameplay with this one.
Educate yourself. Yeah LOC get your shit together! Don't come in here with your anti-gaming attitude and your uneducated drivel! It's seriously offensive. Like seriously! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! |

I got killed and was like, here comes the stuttering stupid nonsense as it tries to load everyone else's customization's etc. But nope, they are gone! i stopped playing the beta last month. when did this latest patch come? people i play with say it is still there. the same problem exists with battlefield heroes and that game has been out for a long time now. Not sure when it got patched. I played yesterday and noticed it was gone then (and that was the latest patch as far as I know). |

Here's a tip for this game guys.
The PC version has NO online co-op at all, just like the previous port did not. Isn't that nice? It does have local co-op, but that's it.
Plus, from what I played of the demo, it's horrid. |

SP looks pretty good to me though. Didn't care for the MP demo all that much. But then again, it is just a demo. |

Tumbler wrote on Feb 1, 2011, 20:14: Hmmm some weird issues with the MP side of DoW2 on Onlive. There are only 3 options for MP games, 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. The version on steam currently has 6 options I believe including several FFA options. Plus the pool of games you connect with must be unique to onlive because it only ever found 1 game and after about 5 min of searching I was still the only apparent game on there. (said it found 1 game, which I believe was me)
I booted up the steam version to see if there was just no one on and it immediately found 10 or so games.
Hopefully they will be able to sync these games so it's all the same online community. Nope, multiplayer will be separate for the foreseeable future with Online. It's one of the major major downsides of the service imo. |
