I tried the multiplayer beta but matchmaking and game browser suck so hard I never had any problems, I logged in with my Xbox Live ID and everything worked perfectly. The Automatch always got me the right opponent and joining a custom game was also a breeze. |

| Just played the Halo Wars Demo and I must say, 20 minutes with that gave me more fun than the whole Halo trilogy combined. EA made some solid controls for XB 360 Red Alert 3 but Halo Wars takes it one step further. Very easy to use and your own units actually think on the battlefield. The rendered movies are awesome btw. I'm interested now. |

You could pretty much play this game on an xbox with a gamepad. I guess that was the plan. Although I loved the original DoW it was extremely hard to get into it after not playing it online for a year or so. People just develop those hard wired build orders and if you don't follow those on the second you're done. More fun, less hardcore. Of Course less hardcore means less fun to some/many. |

| When I buy an Xbox 360 game and want to play it online, it just works. That's it. I know that I get an excellent online experience for about 35 EUR / year (you can get that cheap from ebay). I friend of mine even hooked up his xbox to the internet via windows connection sharing. I never thought that this would work but it did flawlessly (behind firewall, router etc etc). Coupled with the new install-to-hd feature, for me, the xbox has no competition. |

Maybe it's the genre. I wouldn't tolerate this in an FPS but since I'm really not into platforming I like it.
Yea guess what, I'm not a super hardcore player in every genre as it seems

I am not a die hard fan of the series but I could get my hands onan xbox 360 PoP cheap and I'm really enjoying it so far. It has a very nice flow and I also welcome the no-death-system (I really hate loosing progress).
A pleasant surprise. |

No mod support means no pretentious "pro" mods like CPMA or Q4Max, which screw around with movement, weapon-switching speeds and a host of utterly pointless changes which make their servers incompatible with regular servers to divide an already niche community.

| I really enjoyed the demo on the 360 and didn't have any problems with the controls. I ran through the demo without dying more than 1 or 2 times. |

| I bought the german release when it came out. Although it did not have any DRM it DID have one really "clever" copy protection. Whenever you did not insert the original disc (i.e. used a crack) the game ran normal for a while but then it corrupted your save game and inserting the original disc at that point didn't help. I had to re-do 5 hours of gameplay because I didn't want to have the disc in my laptop all the time. |
