| About time! Good thing I upgraded my new Dell latitude d 620 to an nvidia quadro. It's not high end but it does run DoW pretty good actually! Warhammer on my laptop, yessss. |

| PS3 will obviously lose market share in the family-sector due to its insane price. Hardcore Gamers (including switching PC gamers like myself) already have a good next gen option with the 360. The hard core PS2 Fanboy crowd is certainly large but I bet there are also a lot of people in there who'll be put off by the price. I guess cutting accessories wont help it... |

I recently bought a Xbox 360 cheap from ebay along with Ghost Recon. Although I had an original Xbox before, I didnt really use it a lot. All of that changed with the xbox 360 and my recent Live subscription. I find the Live service pretty solid, I tried the BFME II Demo and was amazed how well they translated the controls (cant compare to a mouse but still good). My PC boots less these days - I think the only games that I will play on the PC will be Warhammer Dark Crusade and Quake Wars. Cut to the PS3: I already found the xbox pricing pretty steep (Hard disk, wlan, games etc) but in no way would I spend 600 bucks for the console itself. Blue Ray? Why would I need that? DVDs are good for me and will be for the next couple of years. So for now I am a happy xbox 360 noob - and I never thought I would say this after 10 years of pc gaming.

It's a shame that Quake Wars wont be here this year to destroy the new bugfest. Honestly, I played Bf2 from the beginning, back when it was running OK, but they broke one patch after another and performance decreased significantly.
Now I got an xbox 360, Ghost Recon was the best game I played in a long time and I was really surprised about the battle for middle earth II demo - good controls. Chromehounds could be a Multiplayer killer title and Rockstar's Table Tennis is just fun. My PC boots less often these times....

Seems like every major title is being delayed (Quake wars, anyone?)
Guess there's no need to upgrade to those shiny Conroe CPUs anytime soon.
