love the negative press MS is getting today, like for example this one:

Microsoft Just Won't Stop Making the Xbox One Worse

Anytime Microsoft's nose is bloodied, it's a beautiful day!

Why is that? Among all the big corporations you should never trust, I think MS is the lesser evil at the moment.

They need to price the upcoming no-optical-drive xbox one for about 350$. That might give them some space.

One stat is interesting, apparently about 4% of steam users do not have a 64bit cpu

and 10% have only 2GB of RAM, Wow? 2 GB .. OF... RAM ?
2% have 1GB of RAM

Mobile devices. My new Windows tablet (Bay Trail) is both 32-bit and only has 2GB of RAM, but I can run many Steam games on it. I have an older laptop (dual-core) with x86 Windows 7 with 2GB of RAM (came with 1GB), too. My netbook (x86 dual-core Atom) has 2GB of RAM (came with 1GB) and runs Windows 7 and even it can run some classic titles. That doesn't even include the people running non-Windows OS...

I took my 8" Toshiba Encore with me on vacation and I was pleasantly surprised how awesome Broken Age was running on it in touch mode. Bring it on!

I think, as of now, both next-gen consoles can be considered "fails". I only start my XO for Titanfall and if I had a PS4 I honestly don't know what title I'm supposed to play that I can't get on the PC cheap.

Infamous Second Son
Killzone Shadow Fall
Resogun
Dead Nation
Octodad

With big hitters impending

Still don't see a must have game in that list

The Win8 weather app is kick ass! The rainfall radar view in particular.

I doubt that SC is "coming together" the same way Elite: Dangerous is coming together.

Honestly I never really missed it because even under win 7 I always hit win key+ first letters of application + enter. Quick search is king.
I always thought win 8 was a very fast and very stable OS.

I had hoped for a slimmer version of the original Win 7 start menu. Just a search box and some pins for recently launched apps. Looks a bit fat with the metro tiles in there.

I never could get into AI War myself but I'm loving this.
Thinking that controller support would be awesome in this game. I've got my haswell ultrabook hooked up to the TV which makes it some sort of steam-indie-console

I just impulse-bought this after only 5 minutes of youtube gameplay. Played it for 30 minutes and already love it. The introduction is very well done and although they are throwing tons of text at you, you don't feel lost or overwhelmed.

In A Six-Day Period, Microsoft's New CEO Satya Nadella Completely Changed The Company.

Well, MS could use a shake-up, so it sounds like he's starting off on the right foot. Who knows, maybe he'll make Windows 9 an actual desktop O/S, and take some real steps to support PC gaming.
Seems like DX12 will do just that but IMO holidays 2015 might be a bit too late. On the other hand Open GL and mantle don't really pose a threat.

Southpark totally needs a Kickstarter episode. This nonsense has been going on for too long.

I really enjoyed Episode 1. Made me sad to see Irrational dissolve. We need more story driven games and less MP twitch shooters where all I do is get mowed down by teenage cyborgs.
+1 for teenage cyborgs. To be fair, I was one of them a decade ago

Titanfall had a reasonably smooth launch, now if you want to dig into them with what they did with the microtransactions in the portable version of Dungeon Keeper, be my guest.
+1, for a launch this size, the Titanfall team did a hell of a job.

I just realized this wasn't releasing on PS4. Just when I'd thought EA couldn't sink any lower.
Yea, they call these Exclusives. I think even the PS4 got some of those

My Review: It's the first online shooter in 10 years that's actually fun to play. I am so burned out when it comes to multiplayer FPS. This won me back.
