Bronco,
I've been meaning to ask.. what is TPFKAS2S? Probably something simple or common, so yes, I am showing my ignorance.
Also, is everyone else as impressed as I am with all the lurkers that registered just to give their regards? I found it very endearing, and I hope they stay!

Blue,
I lost my father in May to cancer, so I am especially sensitive to your situation. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Also, thanks for your courage and professionalism to persevere with the website.
Regards, TimK

Of course dogs bark and I am not against dogs barking, but I am against dogs barking uncontrollably. I have had neighbors with dogs that I heard and other neighbors with dogs I never heard. So, obviously, it can be controlled, probably through training.
The main point of my post was to point out the absurdity of the assertion that I quoted. You can't simply tell people to move because you don't want to take responsibility for your actions, or those in your charge. That's ridiculous.

I don't know why people who live in cities-or anywhere with a dense population of people living side by side-think they're entitled to some monastically quiet life. One of the tradeoffs of the ease of use of city living is noise. If peace and quiet is what you want, move to the country where your nearest neighbor is 5 minutes down the road. I don't know why people who live in cities-or anywhere with a dense population of people living side by side-think they're entitled to show no care for their neighbors. One of the tradeoffs of the ease of use of city living is a sense of community. If you want to live without regard for others, move down to the country where you won't bother your nearest neighbor 5 minutes down the road.

This game is gold, Half-Life 2 isn't. (yet). Which game do you honestly think is going to be in stores on the 30th? If Half-Life 2 is released via Steam, it could go "gold" on the 30th and be released on the 30th.

cant they make anything new with original ideas instead of this rehashed crap? Not as easy as it sounds. We are getting to the point where you cannot make anything without it resembling something before it. In fact, I cannot think of anything truly original in a long time. Name any movie, book, TV show, game, or song, and I bet someone can link it to something else, some how, some way.

Before the 1.45 patch, I could play any map with just my RtR CD. After the patch, if a server was running a vanilla 1942 map, you'd have to put in your original CD. If it switch to a RtR map, you'd have to put in your RtR CD. Want to play DC? Back to the original CD.
Annoying, to say the least.

Now that they got the shaft from Activision, I'm real interested to see the review Call of Duty gets from Gamespy/Fileplanet. Let's see if they can remain impartial (if they ever were).
P.S. It's "congratulations"; with a "T", you morons.

On a personal level I just don't feel all that ramped up about this. I guess I have too much other crap going on right now to worry about if I have to wait for a demo or a websites journalistic integrity. I know where to get my news. I agree. I will download the demo from whomever has it when I have time and the desire to try it. I think you guys need to chill out a little bit. We are talking about a game, right?

I liked the original UT better.
Bombing Run in UT2003 was fun ... for a couple of hours.
Vehicles are fun, but unless they add an Assault mode or some type of Objective based maps, I don't think it will help this game.
Edit: good point quazz.
Ok, after reading the article, this is worth a look. I just hope it keeps my attention longer the UT2003 did.
