| And why shouldn't pc gamers pine for the past, especially when games are being made to work on 6 year old hardware. |

It simply depends on whether or not you were invited to the 'weekend' login server stressing, or if you're still a part of the long-term beta testing group. There's people from both groups in this thread. But there's still enough problems from what I've been reading it's still in a beta state, and there's still enough problems that they're going to have to seriously step it up for the stress testing to get close to a stable point. |

| Meh another testing weekend, with another shitty pile of crap. Between servers that are still packed at nearly 3am, with 4hr login queues, and then on exit it decides to redownload the entire client again. My desire to even purchase this is close to nil. |

| If you got what's went through ontario and parts of western canada about a week ago, it can last upto 2 weeks before you're over it. It's nasty, and you might think the end of the world is here. But you will get over it. |

People are so disappointed with the game I guess they're just falling asleep at their keyboards. Well I guess if they want to stress test their login servers they're doing fine. I guess I'll get around to this eventually, prolly at 3am. |

By the way anyone who doesn't have KoTOR it's on sale for $4.99

Piracy is not really conclusive evidence of anything by itself. Something that's pirated is often more successful. That is unless people feel that the company is treating them like dirt, then it can be as much as a statement. Besides, we can take stock in the what? 100 or so studies that show those filthy pirates buy more than non-pirates. |

Wow that's a pretty freaking good deal on total war. I didn't like empire total war all that much, but I did like napoleon.
nin wrote on Nov 24, 2011, 14:49: Yeah, you're looking at what? 10-20 hours of gameplay for $11?
Hard to say no... Easily more than that. Took me nearly 10hrs to just do HH. GRA isn't bad though, especially with WMX added in, though some like WME better.. A "cluster" of mini nukes for clearing up a bunch of enemies is handy, especially in OWB.

Then again, I can understand why some people do pirate. Especially when faced with "3 machine activations" and DRM that screws over your PC so badly that you're treated worse than a criminal. |

Better? Far from better, be right back. I'm getting the gasoline, a burnt ham, and 23lbs of bullshit. Because once I burn it all together, I think it'll still look better than the talent system they're pushing.
Ya know I really liked the whole talent/tree system during TBC, gear choices might not have been the best for some classes, and it did need work. But TBC was probably the best in terms of difficulty, and options. |
