Having a whole pile of government customers bail on them probably helped change their minds too.
Either that or they bailed to get in the news, to drum themselves into the news. Sometimes even bad publicity is still good publicity.

The Android Forums one is misleading. Its for a third party site (a part of the Phandroid website family). It has nothing to do with the real Android or Google in any way. Its like saying the Apple forums were hacked and then pointing to the CultOfMac forums
I was making the comment in general actually. We've had the voice leak yesterday(google/yahoo/etc), then nvidia, and we've also had several others over the last few months.

Interesting, wonder how many of these forums and all that had their security outsourced. Been a lot of data breaches recently.

Yeah the darthmod stuff works great. There's also Radious if you don't like Darth's stuff. Both are excellent, and I recommend trying both mod systems to see which you like.

The last time? You mean the last time they dumped their CEO the stock plummeted? Really? Funny. In my universe Riccitiello has been the CEO of EA for several years now.
No the last time he opened his mouth about 5months ago, the stock plummeted. You might want to dust off your web browser and go take a look at that $7.50 dump.

What? If investors do actually believe that Riccitiello is at fault for the falling share prices then EA's stock will rise tomorrow, not fall.
That didn't happen the last time. The last time the stock price dumped nearly $3 over a 2mo period, and is down nearly $7 in a 4mo period. Check the market yourself, infact check yesterdays trades, there was plenty of heavy selling with some late day buying of EA stocks up 0.09% in anticipation of tomorrows early buys and later selling.

Even rumors like these can have serious repercussions. Should be fun watching EA stock tomorrow.
Yep. I did say about 6mo ago that it would be about time to snag some EA stock, should it tank, and the EA CEO go, it would be a good time to pick up some shares, if they're low enough.

Valve must make a huge amount. Assuming the major publishers negotiate better deals than the standard 30% cut, I'd imagine Valve is still taking 20% of the sale price for themselves and the operating costs will be a fraction of that. Given the number of years that Steam has been going - and doing incredibly well - I'd assume they have a decent stockpile of money.
20-30% might be right down generous of Valve. Most of the big Japanese digital sites are in the 45-60% range.

EU Commissioner Reveals He Will Simply Ignore Any Rejection Of ACTA By European Parliament Next Week

The upper body rules by executive fiat, and overrides the elected parliament all the time. Heck they've already thrown out two elected government's(Greece and Italy) already. Not a big surprise here.

Just google "Final Fantasy VII BOOTLEG"(or look on the show more on the video) There's just way, way, way, way too much stuff to post in terms of the mods, and crap to download to bring the graphics upto snuff. But this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e18Ay2kJE4

Is what it looks like with the older version, not counting the music update. New version I think 0039 ? Is going up soonish.

It'll never happen in this country (the U.S.). Valve simply has too much money; they could buy any judge ten times over.
Does valve really care though? Or is it a problem with the publishers that are using steam.

Now the real question is, are they going to be offering rebates to people who live in countries with low bandwidth caps? Nothing like blowing $60 on a game, and another $30 for data charges.

No, you actually have to go "purchase" it from the add-ons. It doesn't get added automatically. At least it didn't for me yesterday, and neither did it for anyone on the BSN forum. There were tons of posts on "How do I get it???"

Maybe they changed it, I dunno. It was released the same way as their MP DLC, where you have to "buy" it through the add-on store.

Creston
They stuck a big giant thing on the screen yesterday telling people how to get it after getting flooded with complaints including step-by-step instructions. Origin for all things is pretty piss poor at "how to find" even the more basic stuff.
