| With ToR being out I really don't have much of an interest in going back to WoW especially after not having played short of logging in for more than a year now. Might use that 7 day login thing to pop in and dump my last 40k gold on a buddy of mine who's still playing. |

I dunno, from what I've played so far it's pretty damn decent. It does need some UI customization though. As for queues and all that Wyrm has a 20min queue right now, and my other server Kraysis has a 10min one. But there's around 15 light servers up too. |

Well I've got my bioware-ea account from the swtor site, the GF paid for both our copies through her EA account, I used my key to download off the SWTOR site and input the keys. Both are digital copies. No origin at all on either install or anything else. |

Creston Yep not a problem Creston, though your mileage may vary and all that, but I was playing on Wyrm, and it was between noon and almost 6, so almost peak and not quite peak. It was busy and not busy in the first couple of planets too. But I have yet to see any lag at all, even tonight just before the server shutdown. |

That'd be because every client acted as it's own unique server for instance world. It simply worked in a DHT mode, rather than a static mode in a central location. I'll be around for a few hours too, while you keep trying to think of a way that they didn't have 'servers'. That's like saying every BT client isn't a server, just remember how inane and foolish that is. |

This shouldn't be surprising coming from Quebec courts anyway. It's the reason why big businesses like IBM, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Samsung, and so on all dumped their offices, manufacturing and in some cases R&D labs there. Besides, people can work in an anglosphere environment and not be accosted by hyper-active language police, and french(along with Quebecker though it's getting better) bigotry on a day-to-day basis, which saps the hell out of worker morale. My sister lasted all of about 6mo while she was working in Montreal. |

The large majority of mods like this will require the SKSE, because the in-game scripting functionality simply doesn't allow for the level of customization that the mods require.
As for jumping through hoops... what? You put the SKSE files in your main skyrim folder. That's it. That's literally all the jumping through hoops required to get it to run.
Creston Well that's true to a point, mostly because SKSE allows for hooks, and action hooks for the UI. Oddly enough, all of the hooks, ref, counts, refcounts, strings, floats, Integer ref's, and all that seem to already included. Come first DLC they might even include the action hooks like they did with the ref.counts like they did for NVSE.
As for SKSE/NVSE, there's no hoops just like you said. Steam will auto execute the loader, no user action required because steam is working with the silverlock team to look for it. It's not like OBSE or FOSE where you had to make a new shortcut. But if you're a modder, you're already using a -editor shortcut on your desktop for the toolset anyway. |

Oh well, this is far more usable than what it was. The problem is, is that they used flash for the UI and while the dev's are helping give element info in the mod forum. There are assets they can't release which means they have to be decompiled, and then they have to ask what each element does in order to 'fix it'. It's a mess to put it bluntly, but once all the UI elements and keys are figured out it'll be easy to rebuild from the ground up, especially since there's a database being built for all the UI keys.
I'll take Oblivion's UI over Skyrim's. |
