What? Don't they know PC gaming is dead? The press has been saying so for at least 5 years now!
I've been hearing that since 1996. It's not dead yet, I doubt it ever will be.

Yeah. Why do I get a feeling they're waiting for "next gen" consoles.

That'd be great. I've really wanted to know what happened to them ever since morrowind, and you bump into one on the main questline I know small chance of a spoiler, since the game is so old but hey.

I still can't specify what directory I want my Origin installed games to install in. Anything but the default causes it to complain loudly and not install anything. Editing config files or making symlinks don't work.

And in ten days, this issue is around six months old.

Yay.
Oddly I just gave this a go, mostly because my main SSD is pretty full. And yep, Origin not only screams but screams loudly, and doesn't want anything to do with symlinks(seeing them as not there). Freaking useless. Steam doesn't have the best install support, but at least it obeys symlinking.

There was no buying ME1 DLC. PC got it for free because it came out a year after consoles.
Only one DLC was free. They wanted you to buy the other one.

"Our way or the highway" methods of doing business normally don't work out too well. Unless you're in the business of highway robbery, in which case it's quite profitable.

I really wasn't impressed with Civ5. Civ3 and 4 are still my favorites, speaking of which I think I'll go play some.

The fix went into the main game, but did not make it into the Demo. Sorry about that.
Oh thank god. I can't tell ya how many times I had ME2 crash on me because of that and I ended up rolling back 30mins in a save because I got wrapped up playing.

Thanks for the heads up Derek.

Is there much spoilering in the demo part? Or is it acceptable "preview" material?
No not much spoil material. It's the same stuff that was known 6mo ago with the beta leak.

The crash from ME2 where draging and dropping new abilities on the quickselect bar hasn't been fixed. And will cause the game to CTD. Turning off mouse buffering makes it feel smoother. Overall it feels alright.

It does suffer from consolitis though.

edit:Crushbug says quick select crash fixed ala post 26 in retail, didn't make it for the demo.

Australia doesn't believe adults can think on their own.

Yeah that's the damnest thing. What I find funnier is when hard copies can be bought for $3-4 or sometime $10 less than digital. I've seen it more than once at Walmart, Futureshop and Bestbuy up here in Canadaland.

I'm pretty surprised Freespace 2 isn't on there, as it was the nail in the coffin of its genre. Best of class game, but apparently it sold about 30K copies.
Kinda surprising at that, especially considering how many copies have been sold off GoG now, and the popularity of the SCP project.

I kept hoping Volition would do the same thing with SpreeFace and the evil Ghivans, but it never happened.

They've repeatedly said that if they got the IP for it, they'd do it. But interplay refuses to give up the IP on it. Actually I think Volition said they'd kill, maim and commit murder to do another series in that universe. Maybe they can go after interplay?

I'll bet in 0.89 seconds a cracked copy of the demo will be out anyway. So people who don't want to screw around with origin can simply skip it.
