One of the comments on that link had an interesting idea. That EAware did this to help prevent piracy, since it almost forces you to play multiplayer.
That's great, but what about those who have no interest in multiplayer?

Let me just add that the gameplay is good, the ending fucking sucked, sucked so hard your eyes bleed. Someone needs to punch bioware in the kittens for it.

I have to agree. I played and enjoyed the heck out of the game for 6.5 years, quit just before the Dragon Soul patch and every change made and proposed since has simply enforced my decision to stop playing.
Pretty much that right there. Though I do have to say, the chance to do Ulduar was probably the best instance in the game once you got past the funkiness of the ground combat vehicles.

Now if they could only make the game like TBC without the screwed up talent trees again, I'd be back.

To be fair, apparently the sniper rifle is already in the game, and if you use the Alienware code, all you do is unlock it earlier in the storyline.

Creston

There is a much better one that you can get from the geth when you do the missions for the quarian and geth stuff . Just as a point.

Oh and you're welcome Creston, hope you're enjoying the game.

You'll be beyond that once origin decides to minimize ME3 all on it's own for you. Anyway check your mail.

Well creston, if you're having that much of a problem. Just use the crack, it works fine. That's what I'm using since origin keeps crashing(or randomly minimizing ME3) and taking my ME3 game along with it.

NOTE: If you created a custom face in ME1, and imported it into ME2, you *cannot* import your face into ME3.

I spent two hours trying to recreate my face, and failed.

It's the most ridiculous thing about ME3.
Really? Mine imported over just fine. Though I haven't tried on any of my 4 other characters I'm going to use. But my first one worked, I have seen a bunch of posts in the social forum on this though. Sounds like something got fudged up.

Oh sorry, spoiler alert! Where are my manners?
Sounds about right. After all, who else can beat a reaper? Someone with four balls...

Sounds like 4chan bombing. I'm not a bioware fanboy by any means, though I used to be. I'd rate this around an 8-8.5 with about 7-8 hours in, I've only completed one mission so far so I'd say it's not bad.

Since I didn't buy it, and my buddy from S.korea did for me I don't care too much. I guess he's getting tired of SC2 already not a good sign.

Hey well thanks too! On the upside I'm enjoying it so far. Though I find the voices to be very very quiet. Might be the dynamic audio option.

Thanks for the heads up Lorcin, managed to snag it and now I can play it without the !@#(*ing time lockout of waiting another 6 hours. Especially since my buddy in S.Korea has been playing it since this morning and has been pestering me to do a MP game with him. If he's buying what do I care? ;p

Seriously if it's one thing I don't understand it's why they don't put on a lockout so it hits on the IDT. People will use VPN's to bypass it anyway.

Save game transfers are fudged by the way:
They don't transfer over, there's no option in the config editor, you need to add it in manually.

Go to

C:\Users\NAME\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\Config

and open gamersettings.ini

Copy and paste the folder address for your ME 2 save next to

[SaveGames]
Location=

So:

[SaveGames]
Location=C:\Users\NAME\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save\

On another note, the PC version isn't actually playable yet. It has no crack and most likely won't get one until after midnight.
It's available in korea, so I'd expect 6 hours actually. And if you can get your hands on a korean IP, or vpn that isn't choked to death right now you can get it unlocked too.

Yeah I've been trying to log into a free vpn, but they're all busy.

Oh and the article = crap. Remember it's PC gaming that's killing the industry, that's why it was out on the xbox a week early. Uhhh...

The only thing that really lacks from Sins is a good single player campaign for each of the races.

They fix the problem where its forcing itself to show up on my games list and I can't remove it?

I posted this on the EA thread, but I'll post it here too.

Well for anyone who's been following this thread still. I've left origin running for the last 2ish days. Call me a sadist, and notta. So where it's pulling your info from I have no idea. The only thing I can guess is, it's from your 'tied' account. Though none of my registered games show up there either

So take that as you will, I can't get the 'automatic' adding thing to work at all. No matter what I try.
