How's the game running for people?
I'm hesitant to buy, considering I only have a 3.16ghz E8500, 4gb of RAM and a GTX 570 OC.
Yes, I know my GPU is being bottlenecked |

Is there any way to sell the digital copy of the game?
I'm thoroughly unimpressed with Diablo 3. |

Kudos for them for using some music other than dubstep or fog horns. And for that music being absolutely fantastic.
Art style is awesome and if the gameplay is anything like Messiah, this could be amazing. |

The trailers I've seen so far have been very linear, it would be a crime to make just another 8hr linear cod clone instead of improving on the flaws of Farcry2. From all of the videos we've seen, it looks extremely linear with excessive hand-holding.
I love some of the ideas/concepts of this game, but I'm very wary of it's execution |

When I worked on UT2003/UT3 mods and maps, the Epic community managers were extremely helpful in the forums. I don't see why they wouldn't be in a larger context, unless SK were being unreasonable.
Since I've met a few people at SK and they happen to be pretentious pricks, them being unreasonable doesn't seem like a stretch |

The civil wars in Skyrim were sad with their ..six troops? Eight? Same thing with Oblivion. I remember one of the main story fights with the Daedra, with talk of an army of troops battling it out on the field.
4 dudes and a chick showed up for the most glorious of battles. |

I just couldn't get into the game though. I'm into the game, but I don't see it as all that great. It's a good game, but very repetitive and limited.
No need for PC upgrades.. it runs flawlessly on my 4 year-old system, partly due to the clever way the artists built the levels. Since the world is only viewed from one specific angle, they got away with making a lot of it 2D, rather than 3D. I must say though, they did a fantastic job masking that fact. |

Beamer wrote on May 22, 2012, 07:51: It's based on a movie, so that's expected, right? I'll never understand the hatred of scripting here. Half Life was one of the most scripted games, and the first super scripted game, and that's part of what made it great. Things like seeing a zombie eating a scientist in the distance, or having a zombie bash through a door to get you.
Scripting is a good thing, so long as it isn't the actual combat scripted but the atmosphere and the way some enemies begin combat (e.g., jumping through a window, bashing in a door, etc.)
Scripting is pretty much awesome and I really, really don't get why so many people go "looks too scripted!" The alternative is pretty much to just have aliens standing out in the open waiting for you to walk into their line of sight... I think they're leaning more towards the "taking away control from the player scripting" being annoying.
I'm all for scripting in games - the HL series has some of the best - but I hate it when the game rips control away from you and shatters the immersion. It's basically a cheaper way of scripting, where, since they don't know how to direct the player's attention properly, they just take control of the camera. |

Verno wrote on May 22, 2012, 13:32: Is it as clunky as the videos appear? It looks really poorly animated and stiff, the controls seem a bit wonky unless the people I've been watching are just silly and so on. I like the idea of it but the execution seems a bit...off and vanilla Arma was buggy as shit. The animations look horrific. I absolutely LOVE the concept of this mod, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The immersion is completely severed by the utterly shit animations (especially the turbo-mode zombies) and the fact that pretty much everybody looks the same.
I could whip up better animations in a half hour, and I hate animating. Plus, re-skinning the same player model 4 times to look completely different is rather easy. Like, really easy.
As I said though, I love the concept, and hope that this becomes something great. Yes, I know it's alpha. Still no excuse for horrible animations and lack of player skin/model variety. |

Mod looks pretty cool, apart from the horrible zombie animations and the large lack of trusting other people.
How does the 'friendly' system work? Can someone just say they're friendly then pop you in the head anyways? |

Yeah Kung Fu MP provided one of the best gaming experiences of my life.
Max Payne 2 has a ton of mods for it, including many Total Conversions.
Can't wait for this third one, although recently watching E3 Trailer for the original Max Payne makes me very nostalgic and longing for the same game, just using the MP3 engine. |

Not sure why there's such a bad reception to this.
It's a good, and pretty different idea to draw attention to their title.
The mini-game of sniping with style actually looks fun, too.
These days, when DLC and pre-order promotions are pretty much a guarantee, this is probably the most interesting one I've seen. |

Aren't they making another Van Helsing movie with Tom Cruise or something?
This game could be based off that movie... which, naturally, doesn't improve it's chances by any means. |

Pleasantly surprised by the Sniper Elite demo.
When I got my first bone-shattering kill I actually went "ohhhhhhhhh shit" Of course, the second kill wasn't as impressive, but there's a great deal of satisfaction when you peg a clean headshot on a dude running. I like the addition of tripwires and other guns, as well.
Overall though, I agree, it's not worth the standard price tag |
