4K on PC LCDs is overrated anyway. It will rock on TVs above 40" in a few years once native 4K content becomes more commonly available but what do you need 4K for on a 24" to 32" LCD on your desk or maybe even a laptop screen?
I know someone who got a 15" laptop with 4k res. Pretty overkill

Still, it looks to make 4k gaming at max or near max settings with AA at least playable on a single GPU. Not 60fps, but looks to be over 30fps consistently.
You know a technology like 4k res isn't ready for public consumption when the fastest card on the planet can't even output 60fps

Me, I'd be quite happy with 1080p FXAA for life.. if it weren't for the smooth mouse movement that comes with higher res

Hawken is closer to Heavy Gear 2 (or Shogo Mobile Armor Division..) than Mechwarrior. Twitch based robot action.
Please don't mention SHOGO... the lack of a follow-up makes me sad.

It wouldn't be too hard, just have to come up with a hocus pocu storyline and they are good to go to throw in all the variables needed.
Seems like almost an easy target for a big company like EA.

Same goes for creating a game like Skyrim (minus not needing a decent story).
It really surprises me that no AAA dev/pub have made a similar game. A first-person, action-oriented Fatasy RPG sandbox with good combat would KILL on the market, just like Skyrim has

I remember him saying something about having to leave to watch Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman with his wife. That day was filled with challenging preconceptions about what i thought gaming was all about.
That's hilarious

I was pleasantly surprised by the combat, even though I was only using a tiny pew-pew laser.
Graphics are fantastic, as expected, but the gameplay is actually quite fun.

Yeah this is slowing down quite a bit, not sure they'll make funding anymore.
Looks like they aren't, either.

Holy cow. Colossal Order is just an itty bitty studio. 250K copies in 24 hours is huge for those guys. Well done.
Yep they are like 9 people or something. Good for them, well deserved. The game is awesome!
That makes me so happy

I think it's spot on apart from Destiny, which I found very bland gameplay-wise.

SoM has some of the best game design I've ever seen. Practically everything is perfectly implemented without a hitch.

Vanishing of Ethan Carter is in a genre all it's own. Not many games like it.

Monument Valley is fantastic.

Lumino City is beautiful.

Alien Isolation audio is super immersive

The music in FC4 was indeed great, especially the pleasant tunes during downtime.

Like I said, spot on.

Love these guys' passion that shows through in their videos. They really love what they're doing.

The game looks like a ton of fun and the graphics are very good, but I think if there's anything to fault them on, it's level art direction.
That leans more towards the "mod" feel that DangerDog mentioned

Decent, huh.
Looking at AI in games like Assassins Creed Unity, The Order and other AAA titles these days, I tend to disagree.
In some regards it looks like games have taken a step back if anything

I should have done my research before posting.

Either they're very confident in their game that they don't need to show it yet to garner pre-orders, or they've got a lot of polish to do.
I'm leaning toward the former

This isn't as far along as the video would initially have you believe. Most, if not all of what's shown is pretty easy to do in Unreal. There's even a spaceship template to boot that they probably based their ships off of.

I'm just not convinced by the phony sounding script and delivery, either.

This will fund, but if the Descent name wasn't attached, I don't think it would.

I generally suffer from this when I play an FPS. Even if I am only down a handful of bullets and have a ton left in my magazine, I'll always reload after an engagement. It's especially annoying when you have a heavy weapon or one with a belt/box...
I've cut down on this because it was getting me killed a lot in Battlefield. That and constantly sprinting.
No longer am I an obsessively sprinting reloader

Greg Miller just loves to hear his own voice.

And yeah, a little disappointing Avalanche have shown no gameplay as of yet. Seems they're keeping this and Mad Max pretty close to the chest.
