Cry-stalk-out 4: Ripped off Edition

Gotta say, it looks kind of interesting, but has way too many themes mashed together.

Both Grimrocks, and one FP dungeon crawler coming out soon from the developers of Dead Island, can`t remember the name now. But yeah, these two are all I got.
There really is no competition for Bethesda in this area.

I'm surprised another AAA studio hasn't tried to make a similar first person fantasy game.

it isn't like this genre died (like others have), first person action rpg's have been being made all along.
The only first person action (fantasy) RPGs that I can think of that were of high quality is the Elder Scrolls series.
What other games come to mind?

Looks like more of that standard craziness JC is known for, except with better graphics.

As long as they've improved gunplay and AI somewhat, this should be awesome

Holy shit how do you not remember Condemned: Criminal Origins? It was very unique for its day and stood out as a well done, refreshing style game.

Watching that brings me back and reminds me how genuinely creepy the game was at times. The story was pretty top notch as far as video games go, if I remember correctly

bring back Shogo: Mobile Armor Division!

I'd pay double for a new (and good) SHOGO game

Regardless of the context, the amount of overfunding they got is insane.

I look at it as deck sales though, not really project funding per se

Dyling Light has had a pretty tame release apart from the performance controversy.

Wonder how this will do for sales

I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'll check it out once all the episodes are out.
Would be nice to have all eps available to play through the whole story, yeah.

This looks so refreshing, it's nice to see

Techland has a long and infamous history of technical issues upon release.

They didn't optimize the PC version? Wow, how not surprising. Also it's a red flag when review copies are sent so late.
After seeing how great Gunslinger ran (on my 570 no less), and how beautiful the game is, I was hoping this title would follow suite. Doesn't look like it.

I never felt fatigued by it being repetitive, if they ever manage to get even 1/10 of the atmosphere this game has into something like Star Citizen I may never leave the game.
Yeah, I played about an hour of it and I was immediately immersed. Best lighting and sound I've ever experienced.

Is it worth playing past the 10 hour mark if I get this game? I hear it just falls into more repetitive and frustrating territory

Am I the only one that thinks 1 million seems really low for multi-platform release with AAA production and the Alien IP?
I thought this as well. A ton of exposure for this game, as well.

How's the mouse look in this game? My buddy said you have to hold the button down constantly..
Has that changed? Is it really cumbersome/fatiguing?

Ps.: No game "forces" you to do anything. You have dozens of choices, one of which is NOT PLAYING IT. You have however no right to insult anyone who does play it.
I see your point but if your are to actually play the game to any kind of completion, yes you are forced to kill innocents.

And yeah, obviously I won't be playing it. But I can bitch about in vain

then where does it stop.
Here. It stops with this game and rape simulators. And pupping torturing simulators. Draw a line for once.
To me, the line is pretty clear, it's not like: "yeah but then where does it stop?"
This is where it should stop. Any rational person should see that a game that forces the player as the sole objective, to kill innocent civilians for fun, with realistic executions in the most brutal manner, is sick. Why not kill kids, too?

I'm not saying it shouldn't have the right to be made. People can do whatever they want.
But what they do can't be invulnerable to criticism due to freedom of speechh. That's bullshit.

Like others are saying.. no one here is saying it should be banned or the team not have the right to make it.
What baffles me is how people can defend them, based on the content of the game. Why make a game like this?
