Heh, I was kinda bothered by how the glass froze since I'm not sure whether this is actually scientifically possible.
Though I guess not everything has to be absolutely realistic for it to be a simulation (I'm talking about stuff that's known to be true or false, not science fiction things like allegedly ftl travel).

Sure it's possible, it's thermodynamics. That would be condensation from inside the ship as the ship's temperature reaches equilibrium with the space around it. Ever see Apollo 13? Space is cold, man. You can freeze your nips off out there.

Impressive. Most impressive. It would be even more impressive if he could do the Kessel Run in less than 11 parsecs.

Why would they pay a billion dollars for something no one has ever heard of? More importantly they could have done it themselves for a few million.

It's actually legal to go topless in NYC. (link NSFW)

It's legal to go topless most anywhere. And if any place was stupid enough to try and enforce a ban it they'd lose in court. How idiotic is it that you can carry around an assault rifle, but somehow a pair of tits is offensive.

Valve's flat management bullshit is great for smoking weed and getting your freak on, but for actually creating real usable products in a timely fashion and supporting them, not so much. 10+ years on and the Steam client is still a piece of shit. Half-life 3? Yeah. Even if they ever get this thing to market, would you expect timely rollouts and support from them? Um, no. This is a market for companies like MS and Sony, not Valve.

Last year was just odd. And I don't recall where I finished but I thought it was somewhere around the middle.

The authorities should be stepping in and seeing if charges should be brought against them for fraud. The major problem with crowdfunding atm is it's the wild west and it's only going to get worse until enough people get burned before the feds step in and regulate it as they should be now.

Everyone who gave them money via Kickstarter got their funds returned to them, via the rules of the site itself.

If you mean the $12,900 they've gained through their web page donation button...well, those folks kind of deserved to get fleeced. Only an absolute idiot (or Putin himself) would give money to West Games through their shady, under-developed, spartan-esque website.

It doesn't matter if they get refunds, it's still a felony act that needs to be investigated and prosecuted - the theory being it will aid in preventing future scams. If everyone knows you can just fleece people without consequence it's bad all around. And considering how much law enforcement exists these days and the absurd amount spent on it by society they can start doing their fucking jobs.

Yeah, gonna try pick with my head this year instead of my heart. I felt like the love child of Benedict Arnold and Judas Iscariot picking the Seahawks over the Packers, but if Seattle is in the same form they were last year they're probably bound to be repeat Superbowl winners this year.

That seems completely valid and in line with other punishments that have been meted out for things like rape and such. Oh wait, I forget, most rapists never actually see prison time.

Of course, if you pirate a movie you don't buy it, since every pirated copy is a lost sale, and if you don't buy a movie, you're not paying sales tax (or in the case of the UK: VAT) over it, depriving the government of income.

And THAT, my friends, is the absolute worst fucking crime in any socialist society.

Remember this gem from that cunt Leona Helmsly? "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes."
