The Haunted game looks fun. Too bad they don't say where to get it or how much it is. And damn why is their default font so small?
Oh yes and....

Overon wrote on Apr 10, 2013, 10:04: So without me having to look stuff up what is the love people have for shadow run. Is it some nostalgia thing, what's so special about shadowrun? Well, basically all PnP was high-fantasy at the time - with a few exceptions - so Shadowrun really broke the mold by taking it into the near, dystopian future combining magic and tech. It was just a real breath of fresh air at the time for PnP games in an interesting setting.

Considering like 80-90% of all games released are on Steam. Steam has pretty much been the standard now for many years. Exactly. And seeing as you can play offline I don't see what the problem is. Honestly, I think the people who hate Steam are those ultra-paranoid conspiracy kooks. I'm grateful Steam exists. It makes things easy and cheap. Anyway, even though I'm not happy with the stylized look of the mobs I'm hoping the rest of the gameplay makes up for it.

Cutter - you're a fan of this - sell me on it. Why is it awesome?
Thanks!
For all the reasons the other guys just mentioned plus more. As, I've stated once or twice, the devs already responded to my query by stating that, yes, they are working to allow importation of new textures, models, sounds, etc. into the editor as well to really extend the game's longevity. So this is looking to be as close to NWN as a spiritual successor as you're going to get and even better in some respects too. And lastly, it's mostly done already so they're shooting for a October, November at the latest, release date. So you won't be waiting for a few years for this. Can not wait for this! |

Yes, and what happens when there are extenuating circumstances like you had to speed up to avoid an accident? A big part of the law in determining guilt is intent. This is the major issue I always have with the concepts of strict and absolute liability whenever I go to court. I always stipulate for the record that I'm bothered people aren't permitted to enter no-contest pleas because guilt implies penitence and one can technically break the law without intent. |

Oooh, ahh, gee Austin is so weird and so cool, oooh ahh! And ATT has to jump on board? What a load of horseshit! Well, at least you can believe Google. Who wants to bet that ATT announcement is the only thing that'll be delivered. Sorry, nin. Those hipster douchebags in Austin aren't worthy of taking your fiber.

commonperson wrote on Apr 9, 2013, 21:08: Honestly what this tells me that a)the sample pool is invalid and b)The Consumerist is rubbish. I'm sorry, but in no way does anything that EA has done in it's worst imaginings stack up against Bank of America or any of those other companies. It's crap like this that make gamers look like fools. Hi, you must be new to gaming - as in you started yesterday - because this is really pretty much spot on. EA is the poster child of how to do everything wrong as a company - particularly when it comes to customer service. Their reaction to it last year only validated what this poll was saying. And the fact that it's so easy to actually do it right in the first place only further illustrates what a bad company they are.
Edit: Oh yeah, don't forget EA screws people all over the globe where BoA is US only. |

I'm honestly surprised they haven't blown past their original goal yet as they're hitting all the right buttons with what they're doing. Ever CRPG fan should be backing this. Anyway, I'm stoked like Stokely Carmichael for this! |

Not just Blues, but the community in general gets sick of the anemic memory limitations in consoles. Memory is fugging dirt cheap these days, and you can rest assured that sooner or later devs will use every last bit of resources you put into a console and wish there were more. Particularly when you're buying at the quantities they do. What'll it cost them at that sort of volume? $10? There's zero reason not to have it.

So the doctors fucked up and she doesn't want to sue? Well then that's her problem. They have no problem juicing her for another 30 grand for something they failed to do right the first time and still got paid for it anyway. The lesson from this is, honey, nice guys finish last. I'd sue the shit out of them.

Yes, that's a few of the points I was quoting. So yes, the game sounds pretty fucking far from amazing. In fact it sounds terrible. The only thing I can gather that sounds good about it is the steampunk flavour and that is all. |
