Which of you guys looks like Angelina Jolie?

Cutter. I'm TOTALLY Brad Pitt.

No. I'm handsome, though some women have called me pretty and Brad is definitely pretty. In high school I got Tom Cruise comparisons - when Taps came out everyone was like 'Whoa that's you!'. Personally I'd rather be more rugged like Steve McQueen and guys like that. My pal's dad was very McQueen like, all the women loved him, all the men wanted to be him.

Blondie: You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

Gonna have to watch that and The Magnificent Seven again real soon. RIP Eli.

All the reviews on Valiant Hearts have been fantastic. Definitely going to grab it at some point but $15 for 4-6 hours is a bit steep.

And how about holding publishers and developers liable for not fixing their hacked games? Nah, getting the government involved is about revenge, not fixing things. I sympathize with the desire for making them serve criminal sentences but really, it won't fix much and it won't work anyway. Vote with your wallet and complain when there are problems, that will work.

Exactly. Company is to lazy and cheap to fix their game so they get the taxpayers to deal with it? That ain't right.

eSports competitors have had a hard time being recognised by the US government. League of Legends was last year deemed a professional sport by the US government, meaning international competitors can now travel to the US as professional athletes.

Oh lord. And the US wonders why it has an obesity epidemic.

19. Re: Hello Games Jun 25, 2014, 13:16 Cutter

Yeah, I thought it had been added to the PS4 but was PC first. And as others have mentioned as more is released on this I'm not convinced its going to be a very good actual game. It's like Starbound. Yeah, the concept of all the different biomes was cool, then you find out its all just the same shit reskinned with different names. Big whoop. And for all their procedural talk its really nothing more than variations on a theme as well. You'll have 4 legged pink brontosaurus on on one planet, and a blue six legged one on the next that look near the same. And if it's going to be hobbled by the PS4 then it's definitely not something I want.

Oh well, goodbye Hello Games.

And why isn't KS at least suspending this until its clarified? This is just one more reason I won't do crowd-sourcing anymore. It's sketchy and it's only going to get worse as time goes on. And KS and others aren;t doing due diligence because they get paid even if it is a scam and that's just wrong. If they're taking money they have a responsibility.

"...not blinded and limited by a standard good/evil system."

As if people don't already have a blurred sense of responsibility for thier actions, someone is now making a game with the express point of teaching that there should be no consequences for acts of violence.

Why don't we just start making games where the object is to rape women, or abduct and molest children? No consequences, right? No good or evil, right? No difference whatsoever... right?

Right.

And people think climate change is a problem?

There are no absolutes and morality is a manmade creation. The universe is a very violent, very indifferent place. And yes in a game where you rape women and molest children there are no consequences BECAUSE NO ONE ACTUALLY GOT FUCKING RAPED OR MOLESTED!!!

At least its more honest. What do games like CoD, et al teach now? Killing is a good thing and actually a preferred thing. Negotiation? Diplomacy? Just being a decent fucking human being? Well why bother when you can just blow shit up instead?

And IRL look at the American propaganda machine. They invade sovereign nations who've never lifted a finger against the US and then people thank the "heroes" for their service and defending their "freedoms". Wtf? How can anyone be that disconnected from reality? It's classic Orwellian doublethink. So where exactly are these consequences you're speaking of? Oh right, if you're poor and commit and a crime and can't afford a good lawyer there are consequences, but that's about it.

Here's a perfect example of that....

Billionaire Gets 4 MONTHS For Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old Because He’s ‘Productive’

"SC Johnson, the “family” company’s billionaire heir, Samuel Curtis Johnson III, who confessed to repeatedly sexually assaulting his teenage stepdaughter has received an outrageous prison sentence of only four months because the judge, Circuit Justice Eugene Gasiorkiewicz, feels that Johnson’s importance to the community is valued much higher than the dignity of his abused step-daughter."

Welcome to reality.

I hope by reboot they mean back to basics. Predator was damn good, but Predator 2 was even better! Classic action flick and one I watch whenever it's on - same with Total Recall, which they'll reboot yet again for the ADD Twitter kids and call it Totes Rec. The AvP films were ok, but I did like Predators with Adrian Brody.

Jenkins you motherfucker!

So no good deed goes unpunished. Driving today and this little turtle is trying to cross the road to get to the pond on the other side - a virtual turtle paradise as it were. So I'm afraid the wee guy is going to get run over because he's moving so slow so I hop out to grab him intent on delivering him to his pond. Well I slam the car door shut...on my index finger. Smashes the nail almost entirely off my finger. It was unreal how much it hurt. I was literally physically staggered and seeing stars, almost thought I was going pass out for a second.

So I go get my first aid kit out of the trunk as my finger is gushing blood all over, gause it up, tape it up, and meanwhile the little turtle makes it across like a boss, over the bottom of a fence - which is impressive by turtle standards and beelines it to the pond. Good for him. Meantime I got to the hospital to make sure nothing is broken and they tell me they need to reinsert the nail because the whole nailbed popped out. So they cut both sides of my finger to pull back the skin to insert the nail back in and than suture it up. Even with the local it hurt like a motherfucker. It still hurts like a motherfucker.

Not sure if there's a moral to the story, but it better have accrued me some good fucking karma with the Turtle gods.
