Well Apple doesn't really have a choice, do they? Seeing as they don't want to employ people in the countries where they sell most of their products.

Oh please. Crowdsourcing is already on the decline in a big way all around. People are already tired of scams, unfinished projects, things not turning out as they expected and/or wanted, those who can afford to do their own stuff asking for money, etc. A lot of people are just tired of everyone always seeming to have their hand out for everything these days, I know I am. I have to find ways to grow my business without crowdfunding, if you can't manage that you probably don't belong in business for yourself anyway.

Yeah, cool trailer but weak game, and bad title. And Frank who? Legendary? What? In his own mind?

In the fool me once rule... any of me falling for this at this point, is totally a "shame on me". MS never, never learns. If the got something cool, the product will sell itself on whatever it can immediately do.

SEEECRET!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, get a monopoly so I'm forced to use your product anyway.

I dunno, I thought the whole thing was gimmicky. I don't really want or need an overlay for RL, although there are probably a lot of niche uses for it, say in construction to visualize the next part you're building, or in surgery say, so the doctor knows precisely where to drill to insert the metal pin in your broken bone, or what not.

What I'm really looking forward to is OR CV1 so I can escape reality, not augment it.

Precisely. This sort of stuff has far more practical uses than it does for entertainment. But that's only if it's easy to implement the software that will allow you to do those things like surgery, architecture, etc. The cost for specialized software might make it entirely impractical.

They need an option to turn it off at least. I hate car noise. It's why I've always wanted a Rolls. They're whisper quiet and insanely comfortable. I love the rumble of a classic muscle car, but that's the trade off, they're fast, loud and uncomfortable. Your average vehicle doesn't need to be, nor should be.

The price of the base CaH game is $25, and it's black and white. this *appears* to be using color cards. My girlfriend works VERY part time (conventions) for a small game maker, the cost to produce something when you DON'T own the facilities is shocking. Go to a board game convention, see games that cost $45-$50, and there's just a game board, a bunch of cards, and maybe some wooden markers, and you think "why is this so expensive?". It's expensive because the people who OWN the facilities that can produce these things want to get paid for what they do, and small run stuff requires JUST as much set up as massive-run things.

The initial $10k is likely the smallest amount of money they could spend to get a factory to pump out even a small number of their card game. YES, -now- they're going to make a ton of profit, but the initial pricing was *just in case* they only hit 10K.

Um, no. One of my best friends owns a printing company and does stuff like this all the time. I use his services all the time. It's cheap. The most expensive part of the process would actually be the packing and shipping on that small a scale.

Thats all bullshit.. its saturday morning cartoon knowledge

"ninja" isnt even what they were called, thats more modern bullshit

samurai who had the balls to do crazy midieval black ops shit would get training from specific clans of other samurai who were specialists at sabotage and infiltration.. they were shinobi

but dont worry about it, mutant turtles are more your speed anyways

Don't transfer your stupidity onto me. Pick up a fucking history book sometime if you're capable because you clearly have no fucking clue what you're talking about. Christ, you don't even know what Samurai actually are. Then again, that's no surprise seeing as you can't even master rudimentary grammar.

Ahh minimalist artistic style, when you just can't be bothered with doing graphics.

That's the problem. This type of game interests me. The crappy graphics do not.

And when I saw the title I thought it was a Grow-Op simulator.

Sounds like where he belongs. He was an accessory to a crime, tried to cover it up, threatened people, etc. and now he treats it like it's all a big joke and that he's some sort of working class hero. The guy clearly needs psychiatric help as well as the time he received to reflect on how dumb he's been.

Then clearly the punishment for these consumer scams needs to be drastically increased because they're obviously not deterring anyone at this point, and only increasing in scope and frequency. Fuck it, let's implement a gulag style system where they work to live. No more country club jails.

That aside, I'd still like to see a good Samurai/Ninja game sort of Ass Creed meets feudal Japan sort of thing. Always loved Clavell's books and thought they'd make great games.

The NFL organization is a bad joke. Their pretense of having some sort of moral code of conduct would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. How many times does Cheaterchick get to cheat and get away with it? How many of the criminals in the league get to be criminals and get away with it? Pay a fine and off you go. That's the message they're sending. Lie, cheat, steal, do drugs, beat your wife, kill people, etc. and it's not only ok, you get rewarded for it.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out why this is cause for such alarm. Baseball teams doing all manner of ungodly things to the infield dirt or outfield grass in order to affect running and/or ball movement across those surfaces is just thought of as part of the game and a legitimate use of home field advantage. But take a bit of air out of a damn football and suddenly it's like Snidely Whiplash levels of skullduggery.

Exit question: Are baseball fans that much more accustomed to underhanded tactics, or are football fans that much thinner-skinned?

A) No one cares about baseball. Not even baseball players.

B) No one likes a cheater - except people who like baseball apparently.

C) This is consistent with Cheaterchik where if he's not actually cheating and breaking the rules, he's certainly going against the spirit of them. His whole win at any cost attitude doesn't belong in competitive sports. Yes, compete to the best of your abilities, but if you have to cheat to win you don't belong in the first place.

D) In spite of constant repeat offenses nothing ever happens more than a petty fine. It's like Pigeon said, in this respect they treat it as the cost to cheat.

E) It's doubly offensive because the NFL likes to pretend it's this upstanding organization that has actual scruples when they're just a massive bunch of scumbags that make even the biggest douchebag lawyers look good - probably because most of them involved are ginormous douchebag lawyers anyway.
