I don't care what you guys say, I am absolutely loving this game. The interface, gameplay, story, writing, and everything else are miles beyond the previous game, and most other games I've ever played. Sure, it could use some improvements here and there, but given what they've achieved and the grand scope of this game, it is absolutely a masterpiece.

I heartily disagree with most of what Mac says in his Worth A Buy review of the game (with only 10 hours under his belt, by the way), and that's a first for me. I've never before disagreed with him so thoroughly.

What they're really set the bar on are the secondary quests. It's beyond nice to see quests that make sense in context of the game world. Not just, go kill a dozen rats in the field. Everyone and their dog making CRPGs from now on needs to take careful notes on this and do the same.

And even the main ones. It's nice to see really morally grey and unpalatable choices being proffered. Without spoiling anything a perfect example is the Crones of Crooked Bog quest with the damned if you do, damned if you don't resolution. I love that! Not every quest should resolve in smiles unt sunshine.

Tomorrowland exposes Hollywood's originality problem? Really? And not the last 20 years of rebooting everything under the sun? They don't count. It's all just started with Tomorrowland has it?

This is far from the first time someone has landed in jail over their politically dissident Twitter activity, but itís a stark reminder of how some regimes can hand out over-the-top sentences for what amounts to a Jimmy Kimmel bit in the US.

Just call it 'hate speech' and everything is A-OK.

Yeah, unlike the US where the feds just plant something on you and ship you off to prison instead. It's so much more convenient the other way.

So why would Charter be allowed if Comcast wasn't? All those corps need to be broken down, not bulked up.

Fonts look fine on my 27". However, I agree crafting is a hot mess. And why is it such a shitty UI...because consoles. When I want to disassemble things I can't just get my junk I have to get all my crafting stuff too, it's too much. Then everything can be broken up and down it's overwhelming keeping track of what you need without taking notes.

If you want a good crafting system just look at games like EQ2 and Vanguard. Make the challenge in the actual crafting of pieces but keep all the components simple. Gather material. Refine it. Craft it. It's not rocket surgery. This just gets confusing, 'Oh shit, do I need to break this down or craft this up?' Then when you do and realize you needed some of the other shit you just broke down and have to reform it, again needlessly costing you precious gold.

The world/art/flavour of the game is simply fantastic, performance is spotty on ultra for me but excellent on high so I'm ok with that. It's just this pile of so many little irksome things that bring this game down and they shouldn't exist to begin with. A lot of real amateur game design mistakes - like the keyboard, why do you even need an option to unlock it? Still, the overriding thing is the camera - or lack of camera controls as it were. If they had that it would make up for a lot but the fact they don't really brings this game down in the largest way possible. I still shake my head in disbelief at this.

Yet his sig "Back from a stroke and feeling much better!" makes it sound like he's just finished.

(Seriously, all the best SlimRam)

Hehehe yah I thought about that too. Thanks, not to derail anything but yeah I lucked out and had a stroke at 47. It gimped my right hand totally and crippled my right leg too. I can stand and walk just a little and only with a quad cane. Didn't affect my mind but I figured it was already damaged. It sucks because I can't use a controller anymore and I just got an Xbone not too long ago. Joy

Stem cells. It worked for Gordie Howe. You'd have access to that treatment already if it wasn't for the GOP.

So Memorial Day is for US soldiers and Veterans Day is for all soldiers? How odd.

The difference is from the origin of the holidays. Memorial day got its origins from the US Civil War, and distinctly American fight. Veterans Day's origins come from Armistice Day, the ending of W.W. I.

Ahh thanks for the clarification. Just always thought it was odd having 2 different holidays for vets. Still a day off is always welcome regardless of its origin.

This is why phones - being an essential service - should be nationalized. Not text or data, but the phone portion itself. You can get unlimited everything on your phone in most parts of the world for $10 or less, so yeah we're getting seriously ripped off.

Not sure if we're becoming more like the totalitarian regimes we claim to hate, or if stories like this are just being reported more often, but DAMN.

only thing thats changed is now the internet means you get a chance to hear about it...

Exactly. This is nothing new. It's only because of the internet that a lot of Americans are only now becoming aware that this sort of thing goes on and has been for a long time now. I've always found most Americans to be very naive about their own government and the crimes they commit at home and abroad. They simply refuse to believe that their government can be at all evil.

Yeah, I love Ridgebacks. I'm guessing it had to be artificial insemination because I can't imagine a Rigdeback makin' sweet love down by the fire with a Beagle.

I find most everyone has already nailed the pros and cons of the game spot on for the most part. Overall it's worth it, but there's just a ton of annoying little things that bring down what could have been one of the best CRPG experiences ever. The one thing that's unforgivable however, and driving me fucking insane is the goddamned lack of camera controls. Seriously, there are points I've wanted to punch my monitor. I'd just love to know which no-talent-assclown thought that was a good idea. And no, I don't give a fuck if they had to do that for consoles because there's no reason for it on the PC. None. Whoever they are, bar them from ever making another PC game ever.

What a childish self-entitled rant. The only thing immoral is the advertising and sites like that. Put your fucking content behind a paywall in that case. See if anyone thinks it's worth paying for. Don't be amazed when you don't make dime one.
